The psychic waves swept through the entire hall, silencing the many nobles who had been threatening and intimidating moments before. Their pupils dilated, and they fell into a daze.
The formidable guards they had brought with them were no exception; they too were enveloped by the overwhelming psychic force.
Moments later, a group of people left the estate with smiles on their faces.
In their memories, Xiar had promised to compensate them with a substantial amount of money. If he failed to do so, he would mortgage the entire Shining Gold Town and allow them to manage and occupy it as they pleased.
"Hah, a bunch of ignorant commoners, daring to provoke someone without even knowing their identity. I'll let you live a little longer; just wait until..."
Xiar's lips curled into a smile as he wove a beautiful lie for these people, exactly what they wanted to hear.
However, he had planted a Spiritual Mark in their minds, which would gradually erode their spirits, turning them into fools over time.
After Baron Bougiano was taken away, it felt as if Xiar had severed his last concern. He abandoned his former gentleness entirely and became increasingly cold, even contemptuous of life itself.
Once he dealt with these individuals, Xiar and Erin boarded a carriage and left Shining Gold Town.
The carriage passed through West Spring Fortress, and under the soldiers' advice, it entered the vast Twilight Forest.
The Twilight Forest had been a forbidden zone for humans since ancient times, filled with countless terrifying creatures.
Not only were there fearsome beasts, but also numerous poisonous insects with toxins so potent that even the strongest warriors could be lost within its depths forever!
Yet as the carriage traversed the rugged path, not a single beast approached; even the sounds of insects were scarcely heard.
Under Xiar's psychic influence, all animals instinctively kept their distance, not daring to come near.
This was a fear of something far superior to themselves; approaching meant certain death!
After walking for a while, the carriage could no longer proceed and had to come to a stop.
Xiar casually summoned a large black eagle, one of the Evolved Totems he had just cultivated, to serve as their means of transportation.
Aileen and Warner climbed onto the eagle's back with him, and the giant bird flapped its wings, soaring into the sky.
The biting cold wind swept over the three of them, but a faint glow surrounded them, keeping the bone-chilling cold at bay.
Beneath them, the Twilight Forest was shrouded in a light mist, making it difficult to see its full extent.
This forest was perpetually enveloped in fog, resulting in low visibility within, which is why it was named the Twilight Forest. This environment allowed countless poisonous creatures to thrive.
Caw!
The giant eagle soared above the vast forest, with fierce birds occasionally flying by, yet none dared to approach, allowing them to charge through freely.
After flying for more than half an hour, the eagle finally began to descend, revealing a clearing as large as a basketball court that abruptly appeared within the forest.
The clearing was covered by a layer of Dark Brown Rock, which seemed like ordinary rock fragments but had numerous dark openings scattered across its surface.
The largest of these openings was several meters in diameter, as if a terrifying monster lurked within, making it particularly unsettling.
However, Xiar stepped inside without hesitation, with Warner and Aileen following closely behind.
Once they entered the cave, they could see that the walls were adorned with glowing Moss and some luminescent insects fluttering about, illuminating their path forward.
After walking several hundred meters, a massive Underground Cavern came into view before them, causing Warner's expression to shift to one of astonishment.
In their line of sight stood the towering Purple-Black Ant Tower, teeming with countless insects bustling in and out.
These creatures were comparable to wild dogs, and the larger ones could wrap around the tower in circles, while others resembled winged monsters akin to dragons.
The entire underground cavern was a paradise for countless Mutant Worms!
"This is your ultimate trump card!" Warner exclaimed in astonishment.
He could sense the powerful aura of hundreds belonging to the Ultimate Evolution Body within, and at the very center, there was a formidable presence that posed a lethal threat.
If all these insects were to swarm out, they could instantly annihilate the entire Storm Harbor!
"This is just the beginning; I haven't truly revealed my trump card yet," Xiar shook his head.
Kerrigan could only produce insects equivalent to the Ultimate Evolution Body, which meant they were one level lower. Under the endless resources of Twilight Forest, he had barely managed to create a legion of Ultimate Evolution Body-type creatures.
But that was far from enough for him; what he needed was an Ultimate Form legion.
The Ultimate Totem, also known as Legion Level, could destroy even humanity's most elite armies with just one. What if there were a group?
A swarm of Ultimate Forms would be a super legion that even Disaster Beasts would have to regard with caution!
Now, his biggest challenge was how to mass-produce Ultimate Forms. Until this issue was resolved, achieving his goals would remain impossible.
"Warner, you will stay here and assist Kerrigan in perfecting the Inheritance Factor blueprint and improving the Totem Armor and puppet techniques. Kerrigan will provide you with all the resources you need!" Xiar commanded.
"That's exactly what I've been hoping for!" Warner's eyes sparkled with excitement, as if he had stumbled upon a mountain of gold and silver.
For researchers like him, what could be more worthy of study than the unprecedented Cocoon before him?
With the vast number of insects, he could gather most of the resources he needed from the expansive Twilight Forest. Even if he couldn't find specific materials, he could always find substitutes that would undoubtedly elevate his research to the next level.
"I need you to develop two sets of Totem Armor, one for human warriors and one for the insects!" Xiar stated his objective.
Previously, in Morent, he had gone to great lengths to acquire the necessary technology just to achieve this goal.
The Zerg had a tidal wave of numerical superiority, but their individual strength was their weakness. The Totem Armor could exponentially enhance their power, making it a perfect fit for them.
He envisioned that the insect Totem Armor would be synthesized directly within each Cocoon, transforming the Cocoon into a multi-functional Zerg military factory for breeding, strengthening, and healing, outfitting every insect with formidable battle armor!
At that point, establishing a single Cocoon would allow for rapid and explosive expansion!
Additionally, Kerrigan had cultivated a special insect based on the parasitic abilities inherited from the Giant Stinger Bee, named the Parasitic Cricket!
This insect possessed a spirit far superior to that of an ordinary person but was incredibly fragile and needed to parasitize other creatures.
While parasitizing, it would enter a symbiotic state with its host, enhancing the host's abilities across the board and fundamentally transforming its body, elevating it to the level of an Ultimate Warrior or even beyond!
Xiar held a cricket-shaped insect in his hand and smiled with satisfaction. "It still has some flaws, but it's not far off. A little more modification and it will be ready to show the world."
