In the Wogul Wasteland, once an endless expanse of barren desert dotted with drought-resistant plants, a sudden surge of mysterious energy in the air caused countless plants to grow wildly. In the blink of an eye, the entire wasteland transformed into a vibrant grassland, even giving rise to the beginnings of a forest.
The Wogul Wasteland was not lacking in water; beneath the surface lay astonishing water resources. However, the ground could not retain water, leading to a vicious cycle that hindered plant growth. Now, with the explosive vitality of countless plants, their roots aggressively extended underground for several meters or even tens of meters, tapping into the subterranean water sources and creating an astonishing prairie.
Becoming a grassland meant it could support more cattle and sheep, but at this moment, the Raging Bear Clan faced an unprecedented threat of extinction.
During the previous war mobilization against the Harrison Empire, the Raging Bear Clan, being the farthest from the imperial border and situated near a bountiful grassland with ample hunting grounds, had not dispatched many Barbarian Warriors.
With over one hundred thousand members, the Raging Bear Clan was an undeniably powerful clan of Barbarians. They had fought against clans like the Black Wolf Clan numerous times without ever suffering defeat.
Proud and fearless, they boasted the elite Violent Bear Legion, with each fierce Raging Bear serving as their strongest trump card.
But now, everything had changed. First, familiar prey like wild buffalo began to mutate rapidly and launched terrifying attacks against them. Soon after, even their herded cattle and sheep started to mutate and crazily assault them.
Now, even some of their most powerful mounts, the Raging Bears, had begun to rebel!
“Chieftain, we can barely hold them off!” A powerful Barbarian Warrior clad in fur rushed over, bloodied and frantic.
Noes looked at him; this warrior had once competed with him for the position of Chieftain and was among the clan's top fighters.
But now, the opponent was covered in wounds, and even the massive bone knife in their hand had numerous chips. Fear quietly surfaced in their eyes.
"Noes!" they roared, "We must hold the line! Behind us are our people. If these monsters break through our defenses, all your families will be massacred!"
"The Raging Bear Clan fears nothing!"
"The Raging Bear Clan fears nothing!" the others echoed, roaring in defiance despite their injuries. They turned once more and led a group of Barbarian Warriors into battle.
However, there were too many monsters, surging like a tide to the horizon, making it impossible to discern their true numbers.
It was as if all the creatures from the vast grasslands and the forests had emerged, forming an unstoppable Beast Tide that would crush the entire Raging Bear Clan in an instant!
Noes swung his two-meter-long bone club, smashing a monster that lunged at him. He stared blankly at the creature's corpse—
"It looks like an ordinary bull, but its eyes are blood-red, and its mouth is filled with teeth like those of a Raging Bear—Barbarian God above, what has happened to this world?"
He couldn't comprehend how these once weak prey had gone mad with frenzy, growing from two meters to four meters in just over ten miles.
Previously, one of the clan's celebratory activities involved wrestling with bulls; only the strongest warriors could withstand their brute force. But now, these bulls were not just twice as powerful; even he, the strongest warrior in his clan, could not contend with them!
Barbarian God, please save your people!
A fierce and valiant Chieftain of the Raging Bear Clan suddenly found himself praying, beseeching the Barbarian God he had worshipped.
This disaster was beyond what the Raging Bear Clan could withstand. Even if the Barbarian Legion returned, it would be difficult to resist such a force.
There were too many rampaging monsters—wild buffaloes over four meters long, giant pythons measuring over ten or even twenty meters, monkeys three to four meters tall, five-meter-long tigers, and packs of giant wolves. All sorts of creatures gathered together to launch an assault on the Raging Bear Clan.
At that moment, perhaps his prayers had finally been answered. Five familiar Black Giant Birds flew in from the northwest—the direction of the temple—and the black giant birds were also the emblem of the Barbarian God Envoy!
But in the next instant, a horde of monsters lunged at the Black Giant Bird, forming a dark cloud overhead.
Caw! Caw! Caw!
The Black Giant Bird was surrounded by enormous birds with wingspans of several meters, even reaching over ten meters. It held on for only a moment before being torn apart, feathers raining down as Noes's heart fell with them.
With the Barbarian God Envoy slain, there was no longer any hope.
He turned to glance back at the tribe he was protecting. Monsters had already breached the warriors' defenses and charged into the village. One by one, young clan members fell under the monsters' attacks, making his heart bleed.
"Raging Bear Clan fears nothing!"
Yet this roar sounded more like a desperate wail forced to the brink, a final outburst of anger directed at this world.
Endless monsters surged forward; the Raging Bear Clan felt like an island in an ocean, ready to be swallowed by a tsunami at any moment.
Buzz!
Just then, a brilliant beam of light cascaded down from the sky, illuminating the entire battlefield, dazzling enough to rival the sun!
The beam pierced through the countless Flying Monsters that formed a dark cloud above, raining down from the sky. One giant bird after another ignited in flames within the light and vanished into nothingness.
The beam of light erupted violently on the ground, creating a blinding explosion that swept across a hundred-meter radius, devouring one monster after another. Even the thirty-meter-long giant python was obliterated beneath the light.
"What is that?" Noes and his kin looked up, staring blankly at the colossal creature flying in the sky.
A beast rivaling the Barbarian God from myth slowly descended from the heavens, exuding an unparalleled sense of oppression that instantly overwhelmed them with shock.
It was enormous—over fifty meters long and more than twenty meters wide. Even the largest monsters around were less than a tenth of its size!
Yet, the monsters did not feel fear. One by one, giant birds lunged at the Behemoth in the sky, their terrifying numbers seemingly ready to tear it apart in an instant.
However, from the beast emerged dozens of tentacles, each several meters long, which twisted and shredded any monster daring to approach!
Then, grotesque insects crawled out from the creature's body, wielding massive, sharp scythes as they flapped their wings and dove into the monstrous birds.
A massacre began in the air!
Hundreds of Scythe Bugs collided with thousands of monstrous birds, but upon contact, they tore through one bird's wings after another, causing them to plummet like dumplings.
Even though the Monstrous Birds were fearless, they could only futilely endure the brutal massacre inflicted by the Scythe Bugs.
Soon after, more creatures emerged from the giant beast—bats with two-meter wingspans. They flapped their wings and dove into the densest clusters of monsters, exploding upon impact!
