Sain City is located northwest of Source City and is one of the six cities in Farn County. It was once a poor and backward city.
However, with the advent of the steam engine, steam locomotives, trains, and steamships all required a crucial energy source: coal. Beneath the plains to the north of Sain City lies a vast coalfield, which instantly made the entire city wealthy. Lords began investing in the coal industry, amassing enormous fortunes!
Unfortunately, this world cannot compare to Aqua Star; the mining efficiency is far too low, and mining accidents occur almost daily, resulting in countless deaths in the mines.
Yet those Lords showed no concern for the lives of ordinary people. For the sake of profit, they drove these individuals to work even harder and established private armies to oversee the mining operations.
Even more terrifying was a severe locust plague that swept through large areas of farmland to the east of Sain City, leaving them barren and ushering in famine.
In such circumstances, the nobles ruling this city, including Count Williams, did not think to quickly purchase food from outside to survive the disaster. Instead, they seized the opportunity to hoard grain and exchanged it for labor in the mines.
This meant that ordinary people could only obtain food by selling their lives for it.

Soon, several people rode on a few black cows and tall horses, venturing deep into the wilderness, following the safe route established by other adventurers.
After leaving Sain City, the group walked through the wild. Fortunately, due to severe pollution from the coal industry, there were not many dense plants obstructing their path.
Sain City had become a standard fog city due to the rise of the coal industry, shrouded in thick fog year-round, making it difficult for people to breathe comfortably. This also led to a decline in crop yields around the area, making it hard for farmers to make a living from agriculture.
However, after the land underwent significant changes, various plants still stubbornly pushed through, encroaching upon human territory and causing air quality to improve rapidly.
Twenty kilometers after leaving Sain City, they had entered an area where wild monsters were active, making them susceptible to various attacks. They remained vigilant, keeping an eye on their surroundings.
"Based on the information I've gathered, those humanoid creatures should be located in a valley within the western mountains, where there is likely a river," Yura said while riding his steed.
"The danger level here isn't too high; we just need to be cautious of some special carnivorous plants and a few venomous insects. Our strength should allow us to pass through easily."
"That's true. Once we complete this mission, we can finally take a good rest. Continuous adventures like this are quite exhausting," Creton nodded in agreement, and the other two smiled as well.
The rewards for discovering various new species were substantial, especially for some special mutated creatures that were particularly enticing.

The giant beast, Frenzy, charged at the other Antelopes, swatting them aside with ease as they desperately fought back, only to be knocked unconscious or killed with a single blow.
The Antelopes were in disarray, scattering in all directions as the beast began to quietly enjoy its feast.
This was a Seven to Eight Meter Long Giant Tiger, with legs thicker than a person's waist and a massive mouth capable of swallowing half a person in one bite.
Kedon signaled for the others to quietly retreat, their original plan dissipating in an instant.
They could tell that this beast was stronger than their team's most powerful Second-Level Source Energy Warrior, Yura.
Facing such a ferocious creature would clearly be an unwise move.
However, they had already uploaded the beast's data to the Magic Web and received several dozen Source Points as a reward. To gain more, they would need to observe it closely and compile information about its habits and lifestyle. Uploading data on its strength and physical attributes would yield even more Source Points—something their current abilities were insufficient for.

Tracy shrugged dismissively. "What are you worried about, old man? We evolve faster than they do."

Yura's expression was filled with determination, but he shook his head helplessly. "I just used a Secondary Source Elixir and haven't fully mastered this power yet. Give me a little more time, and with a reliable weapon, that giant beast won't stand a chance against me!"
