"Hello, you can call me Xiar," Xiar replied politely, feeling a powerful force that sent shivers through his soul.
It was evident that the person before him was far beyond a Fourth-Level Spirit Master; whether she was a Hunter or a Hunter General was beyond his comprehension.
The figure before him was a girl around twenty years old, dressed in a plain white robe. Her hair was casually tied with a red ribbon, and she wore no extravagant decorations, presenting a completely unadorned appearance.
Yet, despite standing right in front of him, she felt as distant as if separated by vast oceans—visible but unattainable!
"Alright, there's no need to be formal. Everyone only gets one chance at Soul Traversal. Failure means losing this opportunity forever. Since you've successfully returned, your future is destined to be bright and smooth. As it happens, I am a hunter who has successfully traversed before; you can call me Sister Vilanica," the girl said with a gentle smile, her voice warm and inviting like that of a friendly neighbor.
"Okay, Sister Vilanica, what should I prioritize now?" Xiar smiled back.
Vilanica waved her hand, and a silver cylindrical object appeared out of thin air, enveloping him instantly. "You don't need to do anything; just quietly rest in the Soul Furnace for a while. Soul Traversal is both a baptism and a torment. If not properly protected, your soul could become riddled with holes, losing its powerful endowment."
"Now, enjoy this experience of the soul; you won't have this opportunity again."
At that moment, Xiar finally understood what she meant by enjoyment.
He felt an extraordinary wave of energy surrounding him, colliding and merging within and outside his body, bringing him an indescribable pleasure of the soul. It was as if his soul had completely broken free from the shackles of his body, soaring freely through the endless cosmos.
Everything felt so unrestricted; the larger his heart was, the larger the world became. His soul's power began to purify little by little, reminiscent of the energy emitted after absorbing an Evil Beast's death but even more refined.
The Moon Child, which had been slowly merging before, suddenly accelerated its progress; it wouldn't take long before it was fully integrated…
Unfortunately, enjoyment is always fleeting; he soon found himself waking up again.
This time, he noticed with an odd expression that he stood completely naked in a shallow gray liquid.
The strange liquid reminded him of the Source Elixir he had once created; both had body-enhancing effects, but this one was far superior to the Source Elixir—there was simply no comparison between the two.
However, what truly caught his attention was that the girl in the plain white robe stood quietly beside him, watching him from less than two meters away.
Her gaze held a strong intensity as if she could see through his entire being.
Even after he opened his eyes, she continued to look at him without any avoidance, wearing a faint smile. "You awakened quite quickly—faster than I did initially. No need to rush; just take your time soaking."
"No need, I feel like I've absorbed enough already," Xiar replied softly.
The person before him gave off a very special feeling, as if there were some kind of blood relation that made him instinctively drawn to her.
Xiar was unsure whether this was true closeness or if she had used some strange ability on him. All he could do was remain calm and try not to reveal any flaws.
"Since you're ready, come out. This is the Starlit Hunter Outfit I prepared for you." Vilanica waved her hand, and Xiar suddenly felt like a puppet, flying out from the strange liquid and standing before her completely exposed.
This seemed to be what they called an honest meeting.
It was slightly awkward, but in the next moment, a fist-sized silver cube appeared at his chest, instantly spreading out to form a plain silver hunting outfit.
It was a complete set, without any distinction between the top, boots, and pants; it was all connected, fitting him perfectly and making him feel much lighter.
"This is a set of Source Energy Armor I once used. I'll just give it to you," Vilanica said calmly.
"Thank you, Sister Vilanica." Xiar looked at her with slight confusion, not understanding why she wanted to build a good relationship with him.
After all, Oniens was the lowest rank of Stellar Hunter. It made sense for someone like her to want to befriend a promising newcomer like him. But she was also someone who had successfully undergone Soul Traversal and possessed strength that he couldn't even fathom.
"Alright, come with me."
She didn't explain anything further but led him to the center of the garden.
Here, Xiar saw various flower beds around him, home to beautiful and vibrant plants, along with some cute little animals.
However, as he approached one of the flower beds, everything suddenly changed. A creature that had been no taller than his knee surged up to hundreds of meters high, exuding a fierce aura that made him feel threatened!
Xiar instinctively took a step back as the terrifying giant beast before him instantly vanished, transforming back into a mini creature that barely reached his knee.
His expression changed as he realized that each flower bed here utilized mysterious powers to shrink a large space thousands or even tens of thousands of times smaller, creating this vibrant garden!
This level of power was terrifying enough to make his heart tremble.
"I possess the Void Beast Totem that specializes in space manipulation. I'm best at folding and compressing space, which is why I became the manager of this Exotic Beast Garden, responsible for taking care of these peculiar creatures captured from that planet," Vilanica explained in a calm tone.
Void Beast!
Clearly, this is an extremely powerful creature that can grant the ability to manipulate space to its host!
Before Xiar could say anything, the girl suddenly sighed lightly, "Every beast here is cultivated from the souls of Disaster Beasts from Source Star. It's pitiful that these powerful beings, who once ruled the planet, are now confined here as mere exhibits."
Her words seemed to carry a deeper meaning. Xiar listened silently, unsure of how to communicate with this formidable individual before him.
"Since successfully undergoing Soul Traversal, two hundred years have passed, yet I remain stuck at the early stage of Hunter General. It seems I have exhausted my potential and can no longer grow stronger," Vilanica lamented, her soul's resonance filled with frustration.
As she spoke, Xiar suddenly realized that everything around him felt like it was shrouded in heavy layers of space, making him feel as if he were imprisoned in a temporal jail.
"What are you doing?"
Vilanica still wore a gentle smile, but then uttered the words he least wanted to hear—
"A mere native like you is quite impressive to have made it here!"
