As he stepped forward, Vanny was taken aback, immediately tearing through the space to stand in front of him, shielding him with her body. She couldn't help but say solemnly, "Your Highness, you don't need to intervene. They absolutely won't take you this time!"
"No need for that, Sister Vanny. This is my own choice, and I don't blame you!" Xiar said, reaching out his chubby hand to gently touch her cheek in comfort.
His decision to step out was not to save the Phoenix Clan; it was purely for his own survival.
The presence of the Supreme Monarch's avatar made it clear that they were determined to have him, even willing to destroy the entire Phoenix Clan in the process!
The Phoenix Clan was descended from the Phoenix King, created by the Supreme Monarch at the cost of their own Source of Origin. From another perspective, the Phoenix Clan was merely a toy to alleviate boredom for them; it was impossible for them to fight fiercely for something so trivial.
Though it was cruel, this was the reality: the Supreme Monarch had long transcended everything in this world, becoming something akin to an omnipotent deity.
Humans had the shortest lifespans among races, while the Supreme Monarch lived for tens of thousands of years. The Bird of No Return lived ten times longer than humans, meaning they could exist for hundreds of thousands of years.
Such a long lifespan inevitably dulled all familial bonds; no matter how intense emotions were, they could not withstand the erosion of such vast stretches of time. Naturally, they could not hold onto their initial importance.
This meant that the Supreme Monarch would certainly watch as an entire race was annihilated because as long as they did not die, the Phoenix Clan could be recreated at any time!
Thus, if he forcibly stayed behind, it would undoubtedly lead to Vanny and all the Phoenix being slaughtered. At that point, he would be taken away by them and treated as a mere slave without any status.
Now he faced two choices: the first was to hide until the palace was breached and the entire Phoenix Clan was wiped out before being taken away.

Now, the horrifying golden flames erupted, and Xiar finally witnessed their terrifying nature; they could burn Spatial Fragments, causing the entire spatial tunnel to collapse in an instant!
"Bastard, are you seeking death?" Hurst roared in fury, completely unprepared for a child barely over ten years old to possess such a cunning and malicious mindset, willing to perish rather than return with him.
However, he was now utterly unable to act as the entire spatial passage was shattering.
As a peak General Rank powerhouse, this kind of spatial destruction would not easily kill him, but it would certainly trap him here for a long time, potentially exhausting his energy until he died here.

In the next moment, Hurst's armor was completely shattered, and his human form transformed into a monstrous black dragon hundreds of meters long, covered in countless wounds deep enough to see bone.
He stood atop his palace, roaring in anger, "Find that damn bastard for me!"
In that final moment, he saw clearly that the guy was definitely not dead; for some reason, he had fallen onto a nearby planet.
One by one, Stellar Dragons soared into the sky, beginning their search across the nearby planets, trying to locate him directly...
Boom!
On an unnamed Death Star, a Black Spatial Rift suddenly appeared, and from it fell a Child wrapped in a Golden Giant Egg.
Xiar looked around in a daze, having been affected by some force during the previous spatial traversal.
Fortunately, this time he had not lost any memories, allowing him to remember everything clearly—
He had successfully escaped!
However, the energy within him was completely depleted; he needed to replenish it quickly.
"I'm so hungry; I'm about to gnaw on rocks," Xiar mumbled while rubbing his belly.
Then, he actually crouched down and took a bite of a rock, only to be pleasantly surprised to discover that this rock contained an incredibly abundant source of Life Energy!
