This apartment is located on the lower section of St. John Street in Belgium. The place leads to another street with a steep slope and a rough, uneven road surface, so very few vehicles pass through here.
There is also a monastery located on this street, so the place is very quiet and peaceful, with very few accidents occurring.
On the street, the paving stones are dry and the water in the drains carries a foul smell, especially after it rains, making the air even more polluted. Weeds grow vigorously along the base of the walls.
Any carefree pedestrians passing through here immediately become gloomy, feeling the heavy atmosphere and the walls that evoke thoughts of a prison. This place is not bustling and lively like the place where Jame's brother is seen; it is a scene of poverty and weariness.

The front of the apartment is a small garden, so the entire house forms a right angle with St. John Street in Belgium, and the depth of the house can be seen from the street.
Between the house and the garden, there is a slightly concave wall paved with stones along the main wall, which is nearly two meters wide. In front of the wall, there is a sandy path lined with blue and white ceramic pots, in which geraniums, oleanders, and pomegranates are planted.

This is what I have observed in and out these days! In my mind, on the land of Paris, the scenes and living conditions of "poverty and affluence" are deeply imprinted in my heart like two brands! It makes my inner world very unbalanced!
To be honest, I can still adapt to the living conditions at Yi Hao Apartment. It's much better than my life in Russia! At least I don't have to worry about rent and food, everything is already arranged!
Every day, we dine together with the other tenants. When it's time to eat, everyone comes out of their respective rooms and gathers in the dining hall to eat together.
Mrs. Marina prepares relatively rich meals for us three times a day. As long as the tenants can pay the rent and dining fees on time, she is relatively friendly to them. Of course, there are also those who have no food and can only watch us eat with longing eyes.
Sometimes I feel quite sympathetic towards them, but in this society, money is the only way, without money, nothing else matters.
