As the Song Family Army infiltrated the alleyways, Xiao Wei had just executed a perfect ambush. From a high vantage point, a bullet drilled into the driver's cabin of the lead vehicle pursuing Luci and the others. The enemy was caught off guard; the steering wheel was thrown into chaos, and the vehicle spun a full three hundred sixty degrees, rolling over a corridor of Zombie Blood for more than ten meters. 0

The tank following closely reacted swiftly, slowing down while unleashing a concentrated barrage from its windows. A wave of dense and precise bullets overturned the building where Xiao Wei was located. Understanding the situation, she dashed over to Liu Yan and the others, saying, "You go help him." 0

"What about you?" Liu Yan asked, his hands still moving as he fumbled with the automatic weapon he hadn't used in a long time. 0

"Don't worry; he'll bring you over for support," Luci explained hurriedly. Meanwhile, Yinuo had already regrouped, leading the Militia to toss small smoking devices into the Horde. 0

The Young Men of the Direct Line had been at the front, using firearms to harvest Zombies. Seeing this scene, they initially thought the Militia had thrown Glory Bombs. However, the small devices trailing flames fell into the Horde with only loud pops and no actual damage. 0

Liu Yan understood Luci's intent and gestured for the Young Men to pursue the enemy vehicle that had turned down another street. The man on the high-rise was agile, playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse—never straying from enemy fire while skillfully dodging it, occasionally returning fire to toy with his opponents. Liu Yan adjusted his glasses and spotted three Heavy Off-Road Vehicles approaching from the end of the long street. Once those vehicles combined their firepower, it would be impossible for the man above to continue drawing fire. Thus, he joined Luci and her team in clearing a path toward the off-road vehicles. 0

Those who played with guns needed little communication. Xiao Wei noticed that the young man below wearing glasses was an experienced shooter. He decided not to worry about Luci and her group any longer. Choosing a suitable cover, he waved at Liu Yan below and signaled with hand gestures. Liu Yan paused for a moment before chuckling; it seemed that Xiao Wei was treating him like a soldier. They had tactical gestures from before, but they were different from those used by military units. 0

Liu Yan did not respond immediately but arranged seven or eight Direct Descendant Young Men at various Store entrances. He then hurried across the long street, resorting to the most primitive form of tactical communication—shouting. 0

The four vehicles converged in one spot on the street; doors swung open as over ten armed Foreigners took cover behind their vehicles, aligning their guns to begin targeted strikes. Xiao Wei, who had been playfully teasing moments ago, now found herself under heavy fire and dared not show her head again. Seizing this opportunity, Liu Yan advanced and signaled to the Young Men in the side alleys. Gunfire erupted on both sides without concern for casualties; they focused solely on creating a diversion as gunshots rang out loudly, successfully redirecting some of the Foreigners' firepower. 0

Liu Yan did not fully understand Xiao Wei's plan; there were Zombies on both sides of the long street. Engaging in gunfire here would inevitably affect Luci's group's maneuvering. However, since he had promised to help, Liu Yan didn’t bother questioning too much. He glanced back at a small wave of Horde stumbling into the street, calculated some timing, whispered instructions to a nearby Young Man, and hurried into an alley toward the high-rise where Xiao Wei was located. 0

While they were busy calculating their next moves, the Foreigners were not oblivious either. After several probing exchanges of fire revealed their intention to stall for time, two vehicles quickly changed tactics and withdrew from battle, leaving eight men behind to engage in an international friendly match with the Militia. 0

Xiao Wei watched anxiously; her side lacked manpower and could not stop the Foreigners from leaving. She could only hope that Song Yao would arrive soon—whether to assist her or Luci—it was crucial to eliminate one group quickly before supporting another. 0

Meanwhile, at Intersection, gunmen began exchanging fire as chaos erupted at the large roundabout near West Gate. Initially planning to use their massive Fire Truck to clear a path, they unexpectedly encountered another group right as they exited. 0

This confrontation was between two parties with longstanding grudges. As a graduate student exclaimed "What the hell," Ming Junwei also lost his composure upon recognizing this familiar group—temporarily setting aside Beggar Gang Gaoyang—the tall Blonde Woman with golden hair was what truly shocked him. 0

Three years ago, from an abandoned power station to the vast Gobi Desert, every encounter had been drenched in bloodshed; three years later, after enduring all hardships and believing he would never see them again in this lifetime—he found himself unable to escape fate once more. 0

Familiar yet strange faces appeared before her: the red-haired girl lying on the way home, the eternally cold and indifferent woman, the doctor bound by chains, and the desolate tombs in the cemetery. 0

"Damn them," Ming Junwei thought, nearly grinding his teeth in frustration. He immediately commanded the graduate students to steer the Cabin, not dodging or evading, but charging straight into the enemy formation where flames spewed forth. 0

In that instant, the gap between amateur and professional became starkly apparent. 0

The Gaoyang Division, initially leading the charge, was caught off guard by two massive vehicles barreling toward them. They had no time to react with their firearms. Despite repeated warnings from their leader not to panic, the disciples of the Beggar's Sect couldn't hold their ground. Amid exclamations, they scattered like birds and beasts, fleeing in all directions. With a gap in their firepower net, even the most skilled among them could not stop the metallic projectiles and had no choice but to curse as they dashed into side streets to avoid being run over. 0

The graduate students were drenched in sweat as the Fire Truck, riddled with bullet holes yet miraculously intact, broke through the firepower net. Behind the Workbench, the Militia was terrified; lacking long-range firepower and hearing gunfire erupt ahead, they panicked. In that moment of contact, two Young Men were thrown from the vehicle—one fell hard and was left dazed, while another stood up bleeding profusely. Before he could regain his senses, he was struck down by sudden gunfire. 0

Ming Junwei saw it all clearly in the rearview mirror and suddenly remembered his responsibilities. Regretting his earlier decision, he quickly called for a halt and took advantage of their momentum to cross the street, bypassing the fire blockade set by the Blonde Woman's group. 0

"Ming Ge, what should we do?" The graduate student was terrified. He had participated in a firefight on the outskirts of the Gobi Desert years ago; it had been a close call that nearly cost him his life. After that experience, he had completely lost his nerve and withdrew early from that battlefield. 0

"Go to Intersection," Ming Junwei said with a grim expression. Although he had suspected Gaoyang had allied with these people, he hadn’t expected such familiar faces to be leading them. Old grudges combined with new enmities demanded an adjustment; their opponent's firepower completely overwhelmed them, making direct confrontation unwise. 0

The graduate student complied, leaning out of the car window to inform Vehicle Two of their new route. Fortunately for them, they were operating in familiar territory and knew the city streets well; otherwise, they would have been at a significant disadvantage in this high-stakes maneuvering situation. 0

Meanwhile, as the Fire Truck clashed briefly with Thug's Beggar's Sect alliance, Song Family Army finally arrived at the battlefield. 0

Lin Daozhang’s face was etched with frustration as he took on the role of pathfinder. He rushed forward almost shoulder-to-shoulder with a large wave of Zombies, killing and running until he reached the Intersection mentioned over the radio. 0

A large number of Zombies had already moved down the main road. The Horde congested at the city gate was drawn away by continuous gunfire from all directions. At this moment, the Intersection had largely returned to its pre-disaster vibrancy—people came and went while vehicles flowed through—but those passing by were too preoccupied to shop; vibrant stores no longer served as places for leisure purchases but rather posed risks where even a slight misstep could lead to becoming an unnamed grave. 0

Song Jiu gasped upon seeing an overturned SUV in the middle of the road. Thinking it might be an accident involving Dream Fan and others whom they had just seen off, he rushed over only to realize it was a false alarm. Surrounding the flipped vehicle were pools of scattered flesh; several Zombies were still feasting on remains. Luo Yu stepped forward and dispatched them with two swift strikes before peering into the vehicle’s cabin only to emerge disappointed. 0

The Horde was closing in from behind; Song Yao didn’t know where to turn when suddenly gunfire erupted nearby. Following the sound urgently led him to two SUVs blocking South Avenue where concentrated firepower was unleashed. 0

“Xiao Wei, this is Song Yao. I’ve arrived at the Intersection, where are you?” Song Yao leaped over with a few others from the Green Belt, using the cover of abandoned vehicles to stealthily enter the street that was currently under fire. 0

“I’m on the roof of HSBC,” came Xiao Wei’s voice through the walkie-talkie, crackling with static. “You need to help Qixi; she took the Zombie to Phase Two.” 0

“What about you?” Song Yao peeked out cautiously, noticing that aside from the sporadic flashes of gunfire from the rooftop, there were also sounds of shooting coming from several shops below. 0

“For now, we can hold them off. You should head over there; two vehicles have chased after them,” Xiao Wei said as he moved to a spot with better signal. “I just contacted Ming Ge; they’re on their way, so don’t worry.” 0

“Who’s helping you down there?” Song Yao asked. 0

“Just our people, I haven’t seen them before; they came with Qixi.” 0

Song Jiu’s eyes lit up as he quickly grabbed the walkie-talkie and shouted, “Hey, hey, hey! Who’s on the other side? Liu Yan?” 0

Xiao Wei paused for a moment, crouching down next to Liu Yan, who was lying on the edge of the building firing his weapon. He tapped him on the shoulder. “Dude, are you Liu Yan?” 0

“Yeah, that’s me.” Liu Yan’s movements were slightly delayed as gunfire erupted below, bullets peppering the makeshift cover. It seemed that the people down there had split up and found higher ground. 0

“I’m looking for you.” Xiao Wei shrugged and handed the walkie-talkie to Liu Yan before moving forward to cover his position and try to spot their opponents. 0

“I’m Liu Yan; you must be Brother Jiu.” 0

“That’s me. Where are Sister Jia and Ziqian?” 0

“They’re at the Roundabout; it’s safe there.” Hearing Song Jiu’s voice brought relief to Liu Yan. He then asked, “Have Luo Yu and Dream Fan found their way?” 0

“Luo Yu is with me; Dream Fan went back to the Roundabout. Do you need help over there?” Song Jiu felt a sense of reassurance wash over him and couldn’t help but feel a bit proud—after all, it was his team; wherever chaos reigned, they were sure to be there. 0

“Do you have many people over there? Do you have weapons?” Liu Yan inquired. 0

"Forget it, be careful yourself. I'm going to help the other group," Song Jiu said, disconnecting the intercom. He turned his head to see Song Yao looking at him with a smile, and asked curiously, "What's wrong?" 0

" Brother Jiu," Song Yao said with a playful smile, tapping his forehead lightly. "Little snotty now thinks he's a big brother." 0

"Of course! Who told you, as my sister, not to take me out to play?" Song Jiu grinned and followed Song Yao back onto the street, heading towards the second phase mentioned in the intercom. 0

"Fake Taoist, take good care of my brother-in-law," Song Yao said, pulling along Old Lin, who was lagging behind the group. He teased, "Do you want to ascend? You better perform well." 0

Lin Daozhang looked dejected, but he noticed Luo Yu appeared even more frustrated. Clearly, Luo Yu had given up on explaining and was just focused on moving forward. 0

Song Jiu laughed heartily, feeling in high spirits. He casually asked, "I've brought back so many sisters for you; what about you? Haven't you found me a brother-in-law?" 0

Song Yao's expression stiffened for a moment as he jogged along but quickly returned to normal. He turned to his younger brother and smiled, "Of course I have. I'll take you to meet him later." 0
