Song Yao and her companions had narrowly escaped the bloody massacre in front of the Stilt House. At the moment the gunfire echoed across the island, they were in the Island Kitchen helping Chef Jia plate the dishes. 0

The Cold Platter was fully prepared and being loaded onto carts, ready to be served at the appointed time. Although the resources in the storage room were limited, Chef Jia’s creativity transformed the monotonous ingredients into a feast for the senses, making mouths water with its enticing aroma. The temporary workers, caught up in the excitement, hardly did any real work; instead, they snuck bites and showered Chef Jia with flattery. Chef Jia could neither scold them nor chase them away, so she could only smile helplessly and let them indulge. 0

The Island Kitchen was bustling with activity. Most of the Islanders who hadn’t gone to the wedding were gathered here. The makeshift outdoor cooking station was also put into use, with one group preparing hearty dishes inside while another boiled water and washed dishes outside. The atmosphere was lively, filled with laughter and chatter, as men and women worked up a sweat, creating a scene that rivaled that of the Stilt House. 0

The Island Kitchen, overseen by Jin Bo, was constructed like other buildings on the island using locally sourced wood. To facilitate dining for the Islanders, it was strategically located between the Stilt House and a small cabin, forming a triangular layout. Two paths lined with Saddle Vine separated these areas, while the surrounding Red Thorn Grove provided a rustic charm. 0

This short distance was convenient for both the Islanders and the Armed Thugs. 0

The flames of war from the Stilt House had not ceased; they spread directly to the Island Kitchen. By the time Song Jiu and Wu Wentao rushed towards the Stilt House, the first wave of Armed Thugs had already crossed through the Red Thorn Grove and opened fire on the Island Kitchen. The busy Islanders outside had no means to resist; most didn’t even realize what was happening until it was too late. Their faces still bore smiles as their bodies froze in their last moments. Blood flowed freely, staining the ground red, while pockmarked bullet holes marked an end to their lives. 0

“People are being killed!” 0

A few quick-witted individuals managed to escape with their lives, rushing into the Island Kitchen, screaming as they scattered in panic. The already chaotic kitchen became even more congested and disordered due to their commotion. The sounds of terror mixed with anguished cries intertwined with gunfire from outside, abruptly interrupting preparations for what was supposed to be a joyous feast. 0

Though Song Yao and Luo Yu had experienced gunfire before, this sudden turn of events left them just as startled as the panicked Islanders. They stood frozen in shock, their faces reflecting surprise and confusion. 0

“What’s happening?” Fang Fei grabbed one of the fleeing Islanders, her voice raised in urgency. “What’s going on outside?” 0

“They’re killing people!” The terrified Islanders, still shaken, could hardly articulate anything coherent as they gestured wildly before scrambling toward the back door of the kitchen. In just a few minutes, chaos engulfed the Island Kitchen. The carts laden with food were overturned, delicious dishes scattered everywhere, pots and pans lay broken on the floor, while soups soaked into the ground, trampled into fragrant mud by frantic footsteps. 0

Luo Yu tried to peek out through a window for information but found it impossible due to the overwhelming number of people flooding into the kitchen. Those inside couldn’t get out, and those outside couldn’t get in; all she could hear were cries for help amidst a cacophony of voices. The situation outside remained unknown. 0

“Something has happened,” Song Yao murmured anxiously as she pulled Luo Yu back from the crowd. “We need to evacuate Huihui and Sister Jia through the back door.” 0

Luo Yu was momentarily stunned, then nodded in agreement. He picked up a sharp bone knife from the edge of the counter and scanned the chaotic crowd, feeling dazed. 0

Chef Jia was still there. Although she wasn't a combatant, she had experienced enough of these situations to remain relatively calm despite her surprised expression. However, Guli and Huihui were nowhere to be seen. 0

"Huihui! Guli!" Luo Yu climbed onto the counter, urging Chef Jia to follow the crowd toward the back door while he searched for the two girls amidst the chaos. 0

The wooden structure of the Island Kitchen could shield against wind and rain, but it was no match for the torrential firepower unleashed. Those who had fled into the kitchen did not escape the disaster; the armed thugs behind them were clearly intent on slaughtering everyone. Gunfire erupted without hesitation, bullets raining down indiscriminately, tearing through walls and sending splinters flying. Islanders were struck by stray bullets, crying out as they fell to the ground, only to be trampled by their fleeing companions. 0

Luo Yu's calls were answered; amidst the noisy crowd, he faintly heard Guli's voice. Following the sound, he spotted the two girls pressed against a wall, trapped with no way to advance or retreat, struggling to maintain their balance. 0

Luci had already led Chef Jia out through the back door, while Song Yao and Fang Fei were nowhere to be found. With no other assistance in sight, Luo Yu gritted his teeth and jumped into the throng, pushing through the chaos despite the shouts and cries around him until he reached the two girls. 0

"Luo Yu, what's going on?" Pockmarked Girl asked in alarm, gripping Huihui's hand tightly. "It sounds like gunfire outside." 0

"Let's go." Luo Yu was just as confused and couldn't answer her question. Although he had found the two girls, he too was being pushed into a corner by the crowd. The back door was merely a garbage disposal passage and couldn't accommodate so many people at once. The more crowded it became, the harder it was to move. In an instant, many had been swallowed by the tide of people; they escaped enemy bullets but fell victim to their own companions' trampling. 0

Huihui remained as silent as ever; her face showed no signs of panic or fear. She seemed completely out of sorts. Luo Yu thought she might be in shock and squeezed her hand reassuringly. "Don't be afraid; I'm here." 0

Huihui nodded silently, her nose tingling as she shook her head to clear her muddled thoughts. She focused herself and moved forward with Luo Yu in tow. 0

The front wall of the Island Kitchen had been gouged by gunfire, deep gashes marking its surface. In the northwest corner, a beam shifted under pressure and cracked loudly; suddenly, part of the side wall collapsed with a thunderous roar. A wave of gasps and screams filled the air as dust billowed up around them—the entire Island Kitchen was on the brink of collapse. 0

E joined Sister Jiu and some foreigners from the kitchen area. Initially, none of the armed thugs noticed anything amiss until Blonde Woman's furious shout pierced through the chaos. It was then they realized with shock that their invincible leader had been injured. 0

At that moment, E looked somewhat disheveled; several bullets had struck her upper body in critical areas. The proud expression she usually wore was replaced by an unusual look of solemnity and confusion. Fortunately for her, she possessed a zombie-like resilience; otherwise, today could have been her last. 0

"Retreat." Without a moment's hesitation, e immediately halted the senseless slaughter by the Armed Thugs. Scanning the team, Loud Voice asked, "Where's Antibody?" 0

"Already taken aboard," one subordinate quickly replied. 0

e let out a sigh of relief, gesturing for everyone to withdraw. Grabbing the stumbling Sister Jiu, they moved with the crowd, e's gaze fixed on several figures rushing towards them from the direction of Saddle Vine. 0

"Why not kill them all?" Sister Jiu gasped for breath, her face flushed and beads of sweat forming at her temples. She was no match for the Armed Thugs who traversed the terrain with ease, panting heavily as she pressed on, "We have more people; why are we running?" 0

"Shut up." A chilling glint flickered in e's deep eyes as he shot her a cold glare. This was not the time for such chatter; even the Armed Thugs who knew e well dared not speak. For her to be so bold in this situation was reckless. 0

Sister Jiu was intimidated by the Blonde Woman's gaze, her face turning pale as she obediently closed her mouth, afraid to utter another word. 0

The large group of over a hundred surged into the island's backwoods, completely ignoring everything else. Judging by their direction, they seemed intent on cutting through the dense forest towards the lighthouse. 0

The reasons behind e's decision to retreat were unclear, but for the Islanders, it was undoubtedly good news. The gunfire outside the kitchen abruptly ceased, and those struggling to push their way inside suddenly felt relieved. Confused, they looked around to confirm that the ruthless men had already fled before collapsing in shock amidst their companions' blood. The once restless crowd gradually calmed down; most who were unaware of the situation outside still dared not venture out recklessly. Men and women alike stood trembling and crying in the half-collapsed kitchen like sheep awaiting slaughter, devoid of any fighting spirit. 0

"Come on, follow me." Luo Yu sensed something was off and quietly nudged the girl behind him, leading both of them through the throng as they stepped onto the sticky Blood Plasma-strewn ground, finally standing back in the sunlight. 0

Wu Wentao and a few others ran towards them. Upon seeing Huihui safe and sound, their tense expressions eased slightly. Song Jiu’s eyes were bloodshot as he looked at Luo Yu; his anxious heart calmed a bit before he could speak. Dai Wei had already rushed ahead of him. 0

"What about the others?" Wu Wentao stopped in his tracks, glancing at the team that had vanished into the woods, his brow twitching slightly. 0

"Sister Yao and the others left through the back door," Luo Yu said, casting a glance at the kitchen. Those who had exited from there hadn’t dared to circle around to the front; they were likely hiding near the Coast now. 0

Wu Wentao gasped for breath, nodding slightly, ready to speak when he suddenly noticed that Song Jiu and Cao Zheng had broken away from the group and were rushing towards the main force of e. Barbie Doll lagged behind, and after being shot in the calf, was urgently pulled back by Yang Xiaomeng. Wu Wentao's expression changed drastically as he hurriedly shouted for the two, but Song Jiu and Cao Zheng had already run far ahead, ignoring the calls behind them, and in the blink of an eye, they disappeared into the dense forest. 0

"Are they all out of their minds?" Wu Wentao's expression was beyond description, his neck flushed red as he cursed loudly, "Isn't it enough that people are dying?" 0

Yang Xiaomeng looked left and right, unsure of which way to go. Dai Wei staggered towards Luo Yu, his eyes filled with sorrow yet relief. Ignoring the panicked crowd around them, he opened his arms and embraced Luo Yu. 0

Luo Yu was completely bewildered. As soon as Wu Wentao finished speaking, she realized something instinctively. She looked towards the wedding house, Stilt House; the small wooden building had already vanished, replaced by blinding flames that leaped and danced, almost painting the sky red. 0

"Damn it." Wu Wentao spat bitterly and turned to Yang Xiaomeng, instructing her, "Take these people to Jin Bo's place. Don't let them wander off." With that, he grabbed his rifle and strode away in the direction of the lighthouse. 0

Yang Xiaomeng's ears buzzed; just a moment ago, the deafening gunfire had suddenly ceased into silence, leaving only the piercing sounds from the Coast yacht still echoing in the air. 0

"Ziqian," Luo Yu murmured in a daze, leaning against Dai Wei's warm chest. Her gaze drifted over his shoulder as silent tears streamed down her cheeks. 0
