"Why do you want to save him?" Kagura Keiha asked, his eyes shining as he looked at Su Meiniang.
"Heh heh, I can save whoever I want!" Su Meiniang replied.
Kagura Keiha found himself increasingly drawn to Su Meiniang and asked, "What’s your name? Become my Shikigami, and I, the Kagura Family, will grant you immortality!"
Su Meiniang burst into laughter as if she had heard the funniest joke. "Hahaha... Immortality? Everything has its end; even the Jade Emperor wouldn't dare claim immortality. Kagura Keiha dared not press further. "Su Meiniang, the doors of the Kagura Family will always be open for you. Please consider it!" He then turned to Bai Zhuo, who was half-kneeling on the ground. "Bai Zhuo, perhaps this is what you Huaxia People call fate; I hope we can still be friends!"
Bai Zhuo scoffed. "Friends? What a joke! Be friends with someone who wants to kill me?"

"Uh..." Bai Zhuo stopped in his tracks and sincerely thanked her. "Thank you for saving me, Su Meiniang. We should wait a bit before heading home; I’m not sure what’s happening inside."
"You really have a kind heart. You just escaped from the gates of hell and you're thinking about saving others? Do as you wish; since you helped me tonight and I saved you too, we’re even now. No need to dwell on it; I'm leaving." With a wave of her hand, Su Meiniang vanished in an instant. But Bai Zhuo knew that if Su Meiniang hadn’t forced Kagura Keiha's Shikigami back earlier, he would have been dead by now!
"Ah!" Another two screams echoed from within the school—one male and one female—both filled with terror.
Bai Zhuo followed the sounds and discovered a pool of bright red blood! "Hiss! So much blood! I hope Ge Shui Lian is okay." Bai Zhuo gasped; Elder Ge had specifically instructed him to take good care of Ge Shui Lian that night. If anything happened to her, he wouldn’t be able to face Elder Ge again.
Using the light from his phone, he traced the bloodstains.
"Monster... don't come any closer! Help! Ah!" Nearby came the desperate cries of a boy; judging by his tone, it seemed dire. Bai Zhuo rushed over and found a boy lying on the ground at the entrance of a classroom building, his body mangled and covered in claw marks. Deep gashes looked as if they had been made by a blade, exposing bone beneath.

Bai Zhuo immediately took out his phone and dialed Elder Ge's number.
"Hello?" The voice on the other end was not Elder Ge's.
"Is my master there? Please let him take the call!"
"Oh? You're Elder Ge's disciple? I'm really sorry, but Elder Ge is currently performing a spell for my father.
