As Laya was lost in thought, a strange spatial fluctuation suddenly emanated from the center of the room, drawing her attention immediately.
"Has the portal opened so soon? What is Yaren up to? One would think he’s eager to get things moving."
Despite her words, Liendel extended a Psychic Power barrier to envelop the room, preventing anyone from outside from noticing the unusual disturbance.
Amidst a swirling vortex of blue starlight, a golden-haired, blue-eyed youth slowly emerged.
The boy's features were exquisitely refined; although he appeared young, there was no hint of naivety about him. Instead, he exuded a calmness reminiscent of someone who had weathered countless storms.
Once he arrived, he remained quiet and showed no intention of speaking until the silver-blue vortex behind him gradually faded away. It was then that Liendel broke the silence.
"Can you ask Yaren what he's doing? Isn’t he going to send me back?"
The golden-haired youth cast a light glance at him with his emerald eyes. "Yaren said you can take the spaceship back. There’s no need to waste energy establishing a two-way teleportation channel."
Just as Liendel was about to lose his temper, Laya stepped forward and took his hand reassuringly. "It’s alright, Liendel. Now that Shirian is here too, he should be able to help disguise you as you were before. This way, you can say goodbye to Lieutenant Sun properly and resolve your identity issues. It would be less suspicious than leaving without a word."
Both High-level Insectoids looked at her in surprise, making Laya feel a bit awkward under their gaze. "What’s wrong? Am I saying something wrong?"
"Laya is absolutely right."
Liendel quickly retracted his intense gaze. "The Queen truly is a born leader; she has considered everything so thoroughly. I must work harder to change my colleagues' perceptions and ensure that the entire Zerg acknowledges the Queen's rightful position as leader."
Shirian seemed to have lost interest in Liendel's apparent loyalty to the Queen, yet he did not refuse Laya's request. Instead, he used his Psychic Power to cloak both himself and Liendel in a layer of disguise.
When the door of the mansion opened again, Sun Yan stood there, bewildered, staring at the three before him.
Laya struggled to suppress her guilt. "It's like this: my brother Liendel has something to attend to at home, but my family is worried about me. Could we switch and have another brother accompany me to the Central Military Academy instead?"
Sun Yan never expected such a turn of events.
There were practically no precedents for having someone accompany a student at the Central Military Academy. He had put in a lot of effort to get this arrangement approved, and now suddenly requesting a change made him suspect that Laya was intentionally making things difficult for him.
However, looking into Laya's sincere yet guilt-laden eyes, Sun Yan ultimately relented. "I can try."
He quickly made a series of urgent calls and finally received confirmation from his father, Principal Sun. He then called his younger brother. "I've arranged for someone exceptionally talented; you must take good care of her, understand?"
Sun Chi immediately grasped the situation. It was likely some privileged girl getting in through back channels. He casually agreed and hung up.
A person nearby stepped forward and asked, "Why did your brother call you again? He seems overly concerned about you."
Sun Chi frowned slightly, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes. "He was informing me that a daughter of some influential family is getting into the Central Military Academy through backdoor means and told me to be prepared to welcome her."
Two hours later, the Starship specifically sent to pick up Laya hovered just outside the atmosphere. The third-year students at the Central Military Academy were eager, waiting for the arrival of this privileged girl so they could give her a taste of their disdain.
As Laya and Shirian stepped onto the Starship heading for the Central Military Academy, they immediately sensed an unusual atmosphere. The surrounding students moved about, their gazes sweeping over them but filled with clear disregard and subtle mockery.
Sun Chi led them toward the dormitory area, and along the way, several students deliberately spoke loudly among themselves.
"Hey, is that the one who got in through the back door?" A tall student glanced sideways at Laya, a look of disdain curling his lips.
"Hmph, she looks so fragile; I really don't know how she managed to get in here." Another student chimed in, his voice just loud enough for Laya and her companions to hear.
Laya frowned slightly, feeling a twinge of displeasure, but she tried her best to remain calm. Shirian, on the other hand, maintained an expression of indifference, as if everything around him was of no concern.
"The guy next to her looks so cold and aloof; what’s he trying to act cool for? He’s probably just a fool," another student remarked sarcastically.
