Chapter 11: Huang Reveals a Young Girl's Heart
The convoy seemed to stretch to the end of the road. Once the passengers disembarked, they lined up in four rows, and from a distance, everyone bowed and clasped their hands in greeting, saying, "We have met the City Lord!"
Then, a middle-aged man in a suit, exuding the aura of a successful businessman akin to a domineering CEO, approached with a group of about ten people.

Lian Yun's voice was calm, devoid of any murderous intent. Yet even those at the end of the line shivered involuntarily at her words.
The feelings of Ma Dongshan and his companions closest to Lian Yun were undoubtedly intense.
It seemed they understood that when Lian Yun mentioned "two or three," it was far from simple; it could mean the annihilation of entire clans or even more!

With that, Lian Yun stepped back into the vehicle, showing no intention of engaging further with her visitors.
This also meant that he truly did not care about the position of the Lord of Cloud Emperor City.
As for how Ma Dongshan and the others would react or feel about this, Lian Yun was even less concerned.

Upon hearing this last part, Lian Yun became somewhat calculative.
Under normal circumstances, Spirits would directly tear apart and devour other Spirits using Magnetorheological Fluid, transforming through their Spirit Bonds to enhance themselves! However, this process would incur significant consumption and waste.
Thus, Lian Yun did not intend to kill the Ghost Slaves within the Ghost Groups.
Although there were two powerful experts on the bus who could easily imprison the Spirits within the three Ghost Groups, Lian Yun chose not to ask for their help.
On one hand, he wanted to keep his secrets hidden from them; on the other hand, Lian Yun did not want to become overly reliant on others.

Once the leader of the Ghost Group died, the Spirit was free upon being released. Seeing Lian Yun so weak yet daring to provoke it, the Spirit revealed a ferocious expression and opened its deep Giant Mouth to bite down on Lian Yun.
Yet Lian Yun did not dodge or evade; in a desperate last stand, he unleashed another full-force sword strike.
The long sword passed through the Spirit but was Harmless. However, the Spirit let out a piercing cry that sounded almost ecstatic as it directly entered Lian Yun's body and began to rush toward his brain, preparing to completely take over his body.
But then, a slight tremor occurred within the Box inside Lian Yun, as if an invisible and immensely powerful devouring force emerged, causing that grade-A Spirit to be instantly swallowed into the Box.
The feeling of being invaded by a Spirit was unpleasant; however, despite feeling weak and sore all over, Lian Yun immediately entered a meditative state to observe the changes within the Box.
He was deeply concerned about Big Head Ghost's safety.
What he saw next left him utterly speechless and chilled to the bone.
Inside the Box, the Spirit seemed immobilized and unable to move. Its Ghost Body was rapidly dissolving. Even though the Spirit was in excruciating pain and terrified beyond measure, Big Head Ghost appeared exceedingly cruel as it tore apart the Lower Demon’s limbs, hastening the rate at which the Spirit was being disintegrated.
As the Spirit continued to disintegrate, a layer of grayish substance rose within the Box. The Big Head Ghost, with a face full of greed, eagerly awaited the completion of its feast.
Seeing the Ghost Slave fully disassembled and the Big Head Ghost once again stuffed and fast asleep, Lian Yun finally regained his awareness.
He then noticed an extreme coldness at his nostrils, accompanied by an indescribable malice, as if it were a cynical force intent on destroying all living beings.
Lian Yun reached out to touch it and discovered that it was a substance resembling ink—Corrupted Blood.
At first, Lian Yun felt some confusion, but upon seeing that this peculiar Corrupted Blood was quickly evaporating and dissipating, he began to form a rough idea.
It was likely that this Corrupted Blood was the impurity from within the Spirit, akin to the ashes left after a body is cremated.
Although the ghostly substance had expelled its impurities in the form of Corrupted Blood, it still counted as an intangible entity, which explained why it evaporated and disappeared.
With this hypothesis in mind, Lian Yun felt a sense of relief. After all, if the impurities of the Spirit remained within its body, they would eventually pose a significant threat.
Becoming a ghost wasn't terrifying; what was truly frightening was being neither human nor ghost, devoid of reason.
