Chapter 60: Clear the Level? The Azure Dragon?
The Crystal Saber-Toothed Tiger, despite its formidable regenerative abilities, was unable to withstand the relentless attacks from Lian Yun and Xiao Jun. With each strike, the injuries on the Crystal Saber-Toothed Tiger became more severe, surpassing its recovery rate.

Was there really a fourth layer?
Even though Lian Yun and Xiao Jun were both calm individuals, this time they nearly lost their composure and cursed.

Suddenly, Lian Yun fell silent for a moment.
In the first and second levels, the entrances had been quite safe. However, upon entering the third level, they had faced nearly omnidirectional attacks right from the start. This was a trap of this dungeon, so whether or not the fourth level was the final one, it was highly likely that there would be traps present.
But what kind of traps could there be? Would they be similar to those in the third level or something more 'creative'? Lian Yun had to think this through carefully.
If it were a two-by-two pairing scenario, then it seemed that while there were no dangers at the entrances of the first and second levels, the entrances of the third and fourth levels posed deadly threats. After pondering for a moment, Lian Yun shook his head, considering his suspicious nature as a flaw of his own.
After all, Yin Yang City also held the hope that Talent would boldly pursue their goals.
Thus, Lian Yun and Xiao Jun exchanged a glance, deciding to focus on defense rather than offense, and stepped into the cave entrance together.
Upon entering, the scene before them sent a chill down both Lian Yun and Xiao Jun's spines. They found themselves in a circular cavern measuring about two hundred meters across and over thirty meters high.
In front of them stood eighteen Ghostly Guards, each exuding an aura not weaker than that of the Peak of Sovereignty, glaring intently at them. Behind these eighteen Ghostly Guards, in the center of the cave, was a three-meter-wide pool of water, its surface crystal clear and resembling liquid transparent crystal.
What startled them even more was the sight of a Qinglong coiling around the pool twice.
This Qinglong was unlike the crystalline dragons they had seen before; it resembled the dragons from Chinese mythology, with a bull's head, tiger's whiskers, deer antlers, shrimp-like eyes, fish scales, and eagle claws.
As Lian Yun and Xiao Jun entered, the dragon slightly opened its eyes. The narrow slit revealed an overwhelming presence that dwarfed even that of the Insect Emperor and Elder Mei. Lian Yun could not discern whether this was the might of a Half Emperor or an Emperor; he simply felt his body suddenly immobilized.
Although Lian Yun had come to terms with many things, he still did not wish to die, nor did he want Xiao Jun to perish alongside him. He desperately struggled against the invisible shackles binding him.
Xiao Jun likely felt similarly.
However, on the surface, both wore expressions of calm indifference.
"To stand before me, you two humans are quite impressive."
The Qinglong did not speak aloud but directly transmitted its voice into Lian Yun and Xiao Jun's minds. Its tone seemed gentle yet carried an air of unmatched nobility and sacredness that demanded respect.
However, upon hearing the voice, Lian Yun and his companion felt somewhat relieved. This indicated that the entity possessed intelligence; even if it lacked true intelligence, it was not a Chaos Beast.
Then, they recalled with lingering fear that it was fortunate they hadn't recklessly attacked upon entering. Otherwise, both of them would have undoubtedly met a grim fate.
The trap in Yin Yang City was indeed quite insidious.
However, they felt a bit reassured knowing that as long as the Azure Dragon was not a Chaos Beast, there was room for negotiation.
"I have been sleeping here and did not wish to be disturbed by humans. However, since you have passed through this place, I will fulfill my agreement with the Eternal Emperor and open this area to your kind."
"As a reward for being the second to appear before me, place the corpse of that Sword Tiger into this pool, and I will allow you to soak in it for one hour."
Upon hearing these words from the Azure Dragon, Lian Yun's first thought was that it had made an agreement with the Eternal Emperor rather than being bound by him. This suggested that the Azure Dragon's strength was likely comparable to that of the Eternal Emperor, both being figures of imperial caliber.
Only then did he realize that defeating the Crystal Saber-Toothed Tiger essentially meant passing the level; this first encounter was merely a scene. Nonetheless, the treachery of Yin Yang City had once again been vividly demonstrated.
Even if someone could defeat the Crystal Saber-Toothed Tiger, upon reaching the entrance to the fourth layer, they might very well turn back. Lian Yun and Xiao Jun had almost done just that.
In other words, without a courageous mindset to forge ahead, even if one cleared the level, no rewards would be granted.
