Chapter 7: Rebirth in Flames of Desire
It was unclear whether Xi Men Yu Ying was impatient or simply too tempted, but she couldn't help but reveal Lian Yun's true nature, something even Yao Yun'er was unaware of.

Before the Fire Crows could approach, a figure suddenly appeared nearby, bowing slightly as he said, "I kindly ask you all to leave quickly."

Surrounding them were hundreds of Fire Crows at the Peak of Sovereignty, moving swiftly with unbearable scorching flames. However, Lian Yun and his companions paid little attention and simply continued forward. The middle-aged man was indeed a genuine Peerless Monarch; thus, both Yao Yun'er and the general bowed respectfully and said, "We pay our respects to the Head of the Xi Men Family."
Lian Yun and Xiao Jun also nodded in greeting.
Xi Men Xiangyang returned their nods with a friendly smile but then looked at Lian Yun and said, "I have heard that one of my servants has had some issues with your friend. I wouldn't want any misunderstandings between you and Ying'er. Should I have him brought here for Young Master Yun to deal with?"
Although there was a mix of sincerity and insincerity in his words, Lian Yun still smiled calmly and replied, "No need. As long as you ensure he won't harm those close to me again, I can overlook past grievances."
"Ha ha! It's rare to see a friend with such an open heart. Of course, I will keep that ungrateful servant in check and ensure he does not become an enemy to you."
"Dream Sister, come visit me more often! It would be best if you brought Young Master Yun along!" Xi Men Yu Ying said with a shy smile, gazing affectionately at Lian Yun.

Though feeling somewhat resigned, knowing that Lin Xiaoyao was active on the Ranking List reassured Lian Yun about his relative safety. With a calm smile, she continued, "I believe Brother Jun could also obtain a similar letter of recommendation from the city lord of Chang'an. Why not take a trip? In the future, when we have some leisure time, we can challenge one or two Dungeons together."
If there were no pressing matters, Xiao Jun would naturally meditate through the night. Since it was Lian Yun's invitation, he wouldn't refuse; with a nod, he vanished into thin air.
