Chapter 5: Demon Mother - Su Fang
Su Fang was the eldest daughter of her family, with a younger brother beneath her. Although the four of them were not wealthy, they lived a carefree life, especially since they were all members of the Qin Dynasty. Despite their low status, few outside forces dared to trouble them.
At first, Su Fang had no complaints about her life. Even though her parents favored her brother and treated her like a servant, she felt that as long as she could live so simply, it was enough.
However, she never expected that her father would turn out to be such a beast in human form.
Initially, she was puzzled as to why someone as significant as Qin Jiuwang would frequently visit their home.
Then, in a moment of indifference, she discovered the sordid affair between Qin Jiuwang and her mother, which filled her with hatred and confusion—how could her father stand guard for them?
In that moment, she wished for death.
Then her father revealed the truth: he had "offended" Qin Jiuwang and did not want her and her brother to suffer the consequences. They endured this humiliation for their sake.
However, she was also told that Qin Jiuwang was not satisfied with just her mother and wanted her to offer herself to him.
Her parents pleaded with her, heartbroken and desperate, hoping that she could endure this humiliation for the sake of her brother's future. They promised that if she could bear him a son or daughter, there was a chance they could rise in status.
As an ordinary girl, she naturally could not withstand her parents' pleas. Thus, she was violated by Qin Jiuwang and unexpectedly became pregnant.
She still remembered the look of excitement twisted into a grimace on her parents' faces when they learned of her pregnancy. They then forced her to sign a contract binding her to serve him, assuring her that life would be better from then on.
At first, she resigned herself to fate. She found herself in high society, enjoying fine food and clothing that made life feel like a dream.
Less than half a year had passed when her nightmare descended upon her; she was hanged by someone.
At first, she felt little regret, for she had experienced wealth and privilege. However, her heart ached for the nine children within her, who would perish before they even had a chance to be born.
Yet, when she transformed into a Spirit and encountered Qin Jiuwang, she realized what true nightmares were.
Through Qin Jiuwang's explanations and tangible evidence, she learned that her father had never offended him. When Qin Jiuwang demanded to unite with her mother, her father readily agreed, feeling honored and fortunate beyond measure.
What caused her even greater anguish was the knowledge that her parents had known from the beginning about the fate that awaited her after becoming pregnant. Her mother had indeed been powerless to resist, doing it all for the sake of her younger brother. But her father had always sought wealth and status.
She felt as if she had been sold like livestock, destined for slaughter.
Later, because her parents had deceived her regarding the contract that bound her life, Qin Jiuwang offered her power for revenge—but only if she signed a contract with him.
Fueled by intense hatred, she disregarded everything else and signed a contract that bound her to him. After receiving wealth, her father abandoned her mother, who had already been toyed with by Qin Jiuwang, for another woman.
Without hesitation, she killed her biological father. Yet, for reasons unknown to her, she gave his wealth to her younger brother before signing the contract with Qin Jiuwang.
As for the mastermind behind it all, she loathed him even more deeply and often harbored thoughts of killing him. Although each time she was tortured by the power of the contract to the point of unbearable pain—wishing for death—she never showed fear.
In fact, during Qin Jiuwang's cultivation sessions, she frequently entertained thoughts of murder against him, disrupting his progress and preventing him from breaking through to Emperor Level.
This could be seen as Qin Jiuwang weaving his own web! He coveted Su Fang's power as the Ghost Mother of Nine Sons but ended up hindering his own advancement.
Now, being extinguished by Lian Yun with a single gesture, it could be considered the retribution he deserved.
These were all things Lian Yun understood after signing the contract. He also knew that Su Fang entered into the contract out of a sense of motherhood; she hoped to rely on a strong figure to protect her "flesh and blood."
Having followed Qin Jiuwang for many years, she was aware that in this world, the strong were very strong, while the weak were very weak. Although she was known as the Ghost Mother of Nine Sons, she still lacked the ability to truly protect herself.
When Lian Yun was able to distinguish her nine children, she did not hesitate to choose him.
Before Qin Jiuwang's death, through their contract, she could feel his pain and despair, which made her realize Lian Yun's formidable strength.
However, her Nine Offspring could only be considered a part of her body. Even if they could exist independently, Su Fang had never truly felt that she had her own children. Therefore, after entering Lian Yun's Yin-Yang Stage, she did something that no one would have expected.
Through the contract, Su Fang learned quite a bit about Lian Yun and secretly rejoiced in her choice. It seemed as if she had a clear target in mind as she set her sights on a Spirit with a short stature and a large head.
As he rushed over with a joyful expression, Su Fang immediately embraced him in her arms, affectionately teasing, "You little one, why is your head so big?"
While saying this, she pressed down hard on Big Head's head with both hands as if trying to make it proportionate. Then she grabbed his legs and turned him upside down, flipping him back and forth as if checking for any other disproportionate features on his body.
"Eh~~ Ah~~ Hey~~ What's going on~~ Ahhh~~ Boss, Boss save me! Quickly save me~~~ Wuwuwuwu~~"
At this moment, Big Head was utterly bewildered and wished he could die. Su Fang was stretching his lower region as if pulling out an imaginary appendage.
She was a traditional woman from Huaxia; being filial was why she agreed to her parents' request to let Qin Jiuwang mistreat her. Although she had suffered from the bias against women, she also harbored similar sentiments herself; otherwise, she wouldn't have handed over her father's wealth to her brother.
So now she was confirming whether this child of hers was male or female.
She was like a gorilla who had just lost her child, not very wise to treat the cubs she saw as her own.
In truth, on paper, Big Head was considered the leader among Lian Yun's Ghost Slaves, which made Yang Zai Xing and the others feel a bit 'uncomfortable.'
Now, seeing the maternal love radiating from Su Fang, they naturally watched with delight, even the usually stoic Hei couldn't help but show his fangs in a grin.
Chen Er Gou and Ding Tie, Ding Gang, Ding Lan, Ding Hao, and the Ding San Siblings were willing to help, but one glare from Su Fang made them think twice.
It was important to note that Su Fang was a true Monarch and was about to become a Medium Monarch. Even if they combined their strength tenfold, they would still be no match for her.
Although Lian Yun felt a bit sorry for Big Head's situation, he knew he couldn't reason with Su Fang, who was mentally unstable and unreasonable.
He understood that if he intervened, Su Fang would surely harbor thoughts of killing her master.
Thus, Lian Yun's Three Golden Hairs—Yan, Cheng, and Le—could only shake their heads helplessly from the sidelines, indicating their powerlessness.
"Don't!" Big Head cried out, feeling both pain and joy.
