Although he temporarily eased the hostility among Jill and the others, our Ye Dasha forgot one very, very important thing... 0

"Hey, why do you all look so disheveled? Let me see, uh, what's your name, Payton? Oh, look at you, Payton, you don't look well at all. And you—at a time like this, still wearing a dress and high heels? What are you trying to do? Attend a banquet? Oh? What’s that? Your name is Terry? Well, no matter what your name is, you'd better change into something else..." 0

Ye Kai was busy munching on a chicken leg with one hand while holding a large cup of cola in the other, juggling both with great enthusiasm. He kept talking, "Oh my, I really should take you all to my place to look in the mirror. Tsk tsk... Oh, sorry, sorry! I ate too quickly. By the way, where was I just now?" 0

"Shut up!!!" 0

Jill was already starting to regret it! 0

She had to admit that this Young Master’s bodyguard was impressive, but even more impressive was his mouth; he could still speak so clearly with his mouth full of food... 0

Of course, what she feared most right now wasn’t some monster but rather that if this continued, she might not be able to resist pulling out her gun and shoving it right into his mouth! 0

"Gil Valentine, hearing you say that truly saddens me. You probably don’t know this, but I’ve read your reports. You are so outstanding, exuding a rare charm among mature women—simply my type! Hmph! I bet you don’t even know this. A captivating beauty like you must have many admirers. So let me be one of them..." 0

At this point, Ye Kai suddenly stood up, waving his arms dramatically with an aura of confidence and his eyes shining with intense fervor: "Oh my lord! You are too kind to me! To think I could meet such a beautiful lady in the Lord's chapel—I praise you..." 0

"Ms. Gil Valentine, may I have the honor of inviting you to my home for a more in-depth discussion on matters of humanity?" 0

Jill clenched her fists tightly and took a deep breath before revealing a smile that sent chills down one's spine. 0

"Pfft! Hahaha..." 0

Payton was about to go crazy from holding back laughter and finally burst out. It was his first time seeing such an amusing Young Master rich kid. However, upon seeing Jill's fierce glare directed at him, he quickly cleared his throat. 0

Ye Kai noticed Payton shrugging with a helpless expression and couldn't help but laugh heartily: "By the way, I also found many antidotes for viruses! Do you want some?" 0

After a series of chaotic noises, everyone once again looked speechlessly at the man who had been rummaging through something. 0

"Ah ha, I finally found it! It turns out I was sitting on it all along, hehe..." 0

In fact, Ye Kai had almost forgotten that Payton had already been bitten. Perhaps it was the close proximity to these characters from the storyline that made him realize only after turning everything upside down that he had been sitting on the virus's thermal container as if it were a stool. 0

"What is a virus?" Terry lifted the DV camera. 0

Jill's eyes sharpened even more. "Who exactly are you? What is this virus? What does it have to do with those Undead outside?" 0

Scratching his cheek, Ye Kai looked at the others with a bewildered expression. "Did I never tell you guys? That's strange; this isn't like me at all!" 0

"The virus was discovered by the Umbrella Corporation. It's a major breakthrough in medical science and has immense value in military applications..." 0

"Wait, are you saying that the virus is somehow connected to those things outside?" Terry held the DV steady, urgently pressing for answers. 0

"Eh! How did you know that?" 0

Ye Kai scratched his head, feeling a bit regretful under their intense gazes. However, he shrugged and began to speak freely. 0

"The function of the virus can be summed up in one sentence: even if a person dies, their body still lives on." 0

"For example, hair and nails can continue to grow; new cells are still being produced. Even the brain maintains a slight electrical charge until it fades away after several months." 0

"The virus can generate massive shockwaves to sustain cell growth and provide tracking pulse energy. In short, it can bring corpses back to life." 0

“Wait, are you saying that the virus can bring people back to life?” Terry asked again. 0

Looking at the group with furrowed brows still staring at him, Ye Kai sighed and shrugged his shoulders. “Not completely back to life; they only possess the most basic ability to move. They might have a little bit of memory, but they have almost no intelligence. They are driven by the most fundamental neural impulses and needs.” 0

“What needs?” Almost everyone asked in unison. 0

Ye Kai picked up a chicken leg and took a big bite, casually mumbling, “What else could it be? Just satisfying their hunger.” 0

“Olyxet!!!” 0

“Damn it, you hungry bitch!” 0

“Oh, come on!” 0

The four of them—no, five—were left dumbfounded, even the priest standing a few meters away had completely broken down, staring blankly with vacant eyes. 0

Suddenly… 0

“You… you… you mean the box you were sitting in is filled with the virus?” Andiel nearly jumped up, his body drenched in cold sweat as he looked at the temperature-controlled box Ye Kai had brought out. 0

His words filled Jill’s eyes with disbelief and sent shivers down the spines of the others. 0

“Who exactly are you? Don’t make me ask again. Tell me right now!” Jill suddenly pulled out her gun and aimed it at Ye Kai’s head. 0

“Bang!” 0

But almost at the same moment, the gun in her hand was taken away by Ye Yi, and the others barely saw how it happened. 0

"Stop!" 0

Ye Kai suddenly remembered that both Jill and Payton were members of the S.A.R.S. team; how could they easily trust a stranger? 0

He also forgot that both Ye Yi and Ye Er had undergone viral evolution, and whenever they encountered Alice, they would instinctively react. 0

Suddenly, he felt a chill run down his spine. How was he supposed to break this situation? 0

It was already unfortunate enough to face the apocalypse; the once harmonious and happy times had been shattered, leading to a frantic escape. 0

Good grief, suddenly someone barged in and told them a whole bunch of truths about the apocalypse, and that this apocalypse was happening right under their noses. 0

If it were you, would you feel comfortable? 0

Not only would questions arise like, "Why does this guy know so much?" "Who is he?" "What is his connection to this apocalypse?" "Is he the culprit?" "What’s the truth?" 0

If one acted too impulsively, it could easily lead to a fight and casualties. 0

This was another flaw of Ye Kai, or rather a shortcoming; he lacked a wise advisor or strategist by his side to devise plans. 0

He had just begun to process these issues but remained calm instead of panicking. He shrugged and casually said, "Let me show you some information. This is what we intercepted from Umbrella Corporation before this afternoon!" 0

Then, he instructed Ye Yi to return the gun to Jill before starting to rummage through his backpack. This action once again drew everyone's attention, even causing the priest to look on with a hint of confusion. 0

Ye Kai turned to show them the notebook he had found, revealing detailed information displayed on the computer screen. 0

This was indeed the result of the afternoon's work, but it wasn't just any intercepted data; it was information forcibly obtained after devouring the Flame Empress. 0

Of course, there was much more to the data than this, but he was confident that it would suffice to convince a few people. 0

As for his own identity, it was even better. He could simply attribute everything to the Umbrella Corporation, claiming he had stumbled upon some documents while protecting a few Geneticists who were exiting Raccoon City. 0

"What is this?" Payton asked, staring at the screen filled with data, feeling overwhelmed and directly voicing his confusion. 0

Moreover, his leg injury had not healed, and as time passed, his Stamina had been severely depleted. The wound had become somewhat numb, leaving him with little interest in examining the information. 0

"This is research data on the virus from the Umbrella Corporation's Hive Base. Those Walking Dead outside are a product of this!" Ye Kai casually replied while pulling out a large chicken leg to eat. 0

Everyone shuddered at his words, fear and anger evident in their eyes. Terry was the first to speak up, her voice sharp with disbelief. "You mean this is caused by a virus leak from the Umbrella Corporation?" 0

"Shut up! Keep your voice down!" Ye Kai scolded her in a low tone. 0

He then clicked on the computer a couple of times, bringing up a split-screen display. 0
