"Ah, the deity has already copied all the books in the library. Do you have anything else?"
As everyone stood frozen in shock, the deity spoke again, but this time the words were even harder to accept. Over a hundred thousand volumes had been copied in just ten minutes?
Was there anything else?
Were they determined to fight to the death with them?
Almost everyone was driven mad by this statement, their eyes bloodshot as they gasped for breath.
In fact, Ye Kai had already seen the notes on the mission log regarding the Rune Technology data of the three races, which had shown a completed status. He chuckled and said, "Girl, come back quickly; we need to leave."
"Oh, by the way, your books are still intact, so don't worry about me damaging them. After all, they are humanity's greatest treasure."
Looking at the towering projection that reached a height of a hundred meters, Manod's face turned pale as he coldly said, "Safe travels; I won't see you off!"
"Thank you, young friend. However, is it really amusing to act so mature at such a young age? Young people should look like young people."
Yet someone in the crowd looked at Ye Kai with admiration. It was an elderly man with white hair who seemed to have gone unnoticed: "I didn't expect that this generation could still produce such a visionary youth. Humanity's most precious wealth is indeed knowledge; I appreciate your recognition of this."
At the same time, he handed over a black-and-white card: "This is for you as well."
As they watched the old man slowly rise from the crowd into the air, both Manod and the others were completely petrified.
The deity had long noticed him and had secretly tested him but gained no advantage. Seeing this old man appear, she immediately put on a proud expression as if to say 'who cares about your things.'
Ye Kai looked at the card floating in the old man's palm and suddenly felt a spark of inspiration. He smiled slightly: "Thank you very much, sir. Now, deity, please hand it over; we should be leaving!"
"Ding!"
With a crisp sound of metal clashing, the dark curtain vanished instantly. The deity, who had been pouting and looking unwilling just moments ago, suddenly frowned. A pair of transparent wings slowly emerged from her back as her voice turned authoritative and grand: "Mortal, are you challenging the majesty of the gods?"
In a daze, an enormous radiant sphere suddenly appeared above the deity's head in the void, exuding endless pressure and an overwhelming aura that shook the entire city.
"Who dares to invade Valron Wizard Academy!!!" A furious roar echoed from dozens of miles away: "Everyone—line up..."
But in an instant, that voice was abruptly cut off as if something had strangled it.
The people in the academy suddenly began to stir, a wave of anxious murmurs rippling through the crowd. Some scions of prominent families, accompanied by bodyguards, quickly gathered their entourage for protection.
"Respected strong one, we mean no harm. It's just that the academy's defensive barrier, which has stood for thousands of years, has suddenly vanished, causing these children to feel a bit nervous. Please do not take offense."
An elderly gentleman spoke up, but within seconds, seven men and women dressed in various styles appeared out of nowhere, quickly surrounding him and signaling for him to leave as soon as possible.
"Hah!"
Ye Kai frowned slightly. It wasn't that he was afraid of the divine being's antics; rather, it was the audacity of these newcomers that irked him. "So what you're saying is, it's only allowed for you to be nervous?"
He had been curious about why the divine being had chosen to reveal itself, but upon seeing this group—especially the old man—his irritation grew. It became clear that they had been secretly clashing all along.
However, the elder waved his hand gently and continued, "Respected strong one, I did not mean it that way. Please do not take it to heart; they are just young and prone to getting a bit heated."
Just moments ago, he had referred to Ye Kai as a 'visionary youth,' and now he was addressing him as 'respected strong one'!
Getting heated? How amusing!
In truth, no one knew that he was currently communicating with the divine being in secret.
"Lord God, it was this old man who brought a few others of similar strength to stop you. Otherwise, you would have already finished copying those tomes of wizardry."
"You little girl, don't act like you only copied a few books!"
"Heh heh, I even found a 'Mok Stone Eye,' which is said to connect to other realms. However, I haven't found an excuse to make my move yet!"
As Ye Kai halted the divine being from taking action, he chuckled lightly. "Getting heated? Well then, I can help cool things down for free!"
With the so-called 'Mok Stone Eye' in hand, perhaps his future searches for other dimensions would be easier. Even if he couldn't guarantee finding a specific dimension, it certainly lifted his spirits. He pointed at the few still surrounding the elder and said, "I'll take them."
The elder's expression changed upon hearing this; his tone grew serious. "Respected strong one, you may be going a bit too far this time!"
"Too far?"
Ye Kai shot him an amused glance and smirked. "Then hand over the 'Mok Stone Eye'!"
Manod felt a tingling sensation on his scalp. How could someone speak to Lord Latis, a figure of such noble status, in that tone? It was a great insult.
However, under the eaves, one had to bow their head, especially when it concerned the lives of himself and everyone in the academy. He slowly retreated to Lord Latis's side, anxiously glancing at him.
"Alright, it's time for you to tell me your answer! And those hidden figures lurking in the shadows, you all better behave; don’t think I haven’t noticed that you’ve secretly hijacked over a dozen of my flying vessels!"
Ye Kai squinted his eyes; this was one of the reasons he suddenly turned hostile. "How many people have cried out for my protection and found it impossible to obtain? I bet you will all soon be begging to obey my commands."
Latis's expression changed drastically as he shouted, "What have you done to them?!"
Ye Kai snorted coldly. "Who are they? Are they the ones trying to hijack my subordinate using some kind of spatial magic?!" He snapped his fingers, and a three-dimensional measurement image immediately appeared in mid-air.
Manod was infuriated. What did 'hijack' mean?
In the face of an invading enemy, it was every wizard's duty to take action!
Latis's face darkened slightly. The middle-aged men depicted in the image were all flushed, looking both embarrassed and angry, which stirred a long-lost feeling of rage within him.
But suddenly, he sensed an extremely peculiar energy fluctuation and instantly revealed a look of ecstasy, though he quickly concealed it!
