He continued, "Don't look back; she will see you." 0

I knew who he was referring to—Gao Qing. 0

Following his advice, I didn’t turn around. "Can I meet you later?" I asked, momentarily lost in thought. 0

"Sure," he replied. 0

"Then I'll come find you later," he added. 0

Gao Ling noticed my silence and said, "What are you thinking? Do you want to marry my sister or something?" 0

I was speechless. 0

I told Gao Ling, "Don't be ridiculous." 0

Soon, the three of us got into the car. Gao Ling drove us home. As we drove, Gao Ling remarked, "This Uncle Cao is quite wealthy; the red envelope he gave was generous." 0

I agreed, "He really is quite rich." 0

Since Gao Qing had previously stopped us from accepting Uncle Liang's red envelope, there wasn't much left to discuss. 0

After a moment of hesitation, I turned to Gao Qing and asked, "Are you trying to use vermilion to raise a ghost and bring the child into this world early?" 0

Gao Qing looked at me with surprise. "Finally, someone smart." 0

I cautioned Gao Qing, "Aren't you afraid of making things worse? If you end up nurturing the ghost's Evil Energy, dealing with it later won't be easy at all." 0

After a brief silence, Gao Qing replied, "If you worry about everything like that, then you might as well not do anything at all." 0

Gao Qing spoke steadily and sharply, often hitting the nail on the head with her words, leaving others speechless in an instant. 0

I truly had no better options. 0

Having the Demon Child within me was certainly not a good thing; drawing it out might be the best solution for now. 0

The car quickly arrived at Gao Ling's home. 0

I planned to take a shower and then wait for Chen Jian to come find me. 0

However, Gao Qing's gaze felt somewhat strange. I had the impression that she had discovered something. 0

This woman was incredibly perceptive, accurately picking up on any information. 0

Feeling a bit embarrassed under her scrutiny, I asked, "Is there something dirty on my face?" Gao Qing replied, "Just take care of yourself." 0

Damn, could it be that Gao Qing really saw through me? I was momentarily stunned but chose not to respond further. 0

The Urn was placed on the Glutinous Rice. I headed off to take a shower. 0

After showering, I lay down on the bed, contemplating how Gao Qing had reached a terrifying level of insight. 0

As I thought about it, I anxiously turned over in bed. 0

Chen Jian still hadn't arrived. I pulled out my phone to check the time; it was already past midnight. 0

I glanced at the text message Brother Li had sent me last time. As I read it again, a chill ran down my spine. What secrets were hidden behind this? 0

I sent a message, but he didn't reply. I still have no clue about Old Wang's fate or what Zhang Fatty and the others are up to. 0

Zhang Xun hasn't responded either. 0

Currently, these are the only two people I've been able to contact intermittently; Old Wang is unreachable. 0

Old Wang died three years ago, and for the past three years, someone has been impersonating him at the funeral home. But why stay there for three years? 0

Brother Li, Zhang Fatty, and the other two who died, along with Zhang Xun... 0

And that photo from 198 years ago—what shocking answer could all of this lead to? 0

I stared blankly at the messages exchanged between myself and them. 0

Just then, Chen Jian appeared. He looked much worse than before. Upon seeing him, I said, "If there's something you need to say, just go ahead." 0

Honestly, I was feeling a bit nervous; after all, I was facing a ghost. 0

Chen Jian was straightforward and said to me, "Can you ensure my child is born safely?" 0

What an outrageous request! A Demon Child wanting to be born safely—I couldn't help but gasp in shock. I suddenly thought that Chen Jian must be out of his mind. Had he even considered Yu's well-being? 0

I replied to Chen Jian, "No." 0

His expression immediately darkened. 0

I continued, "Are you trying to harm Yu? Do you even care about Yu at all? Have you been using Yu from the very beginning?" 0

Chen Jian was absolutely selfish. After his death, he entangled himself with Yu, causing her to bear the burden of his actions. What was even more outrageous was that he had shared a bed with her. 0

I thought this handsome Chen Jian was nothing short of a beast; one could know a person’s face but not their heart. 0

I fired off three questions in one breath, and Chen Jian replied, "No, you're wrong. I love Yu. No one has ever loved her more than I do." 0

"Then why are you still entangled with her?" 0

Chen Jian was momentarily taken aback by my question. After a pause, he replied calmly, "I just want to share something dear with Yu." 0

"So you think sharing a bed with her and having a Demon Child is the answer?" 0

Chen Jian hurriedly explained, "Yu agreed to it too; this is what we both want." 0

Hearing this made me feel that Chen Jian was not only selfish but also twisted. 0

I took a deep breath and said to Chen Jian, "I'm sorry, but I can't help you with this. You should leave." 0

After my words, Chen Jian fell silent for a moment and then asked, "Is there really no room for negotiation?" 0

Faced with such a self-serving person, I had no words left. I said, "If you don't leave now, don't blame me for being rude." 0

As soon as I finished speaking, there was a knock at the door, followed by Gao Qing's voice asking, "Aren't you going to sleep?" 0

At the sound of Gao Qing's voice, Chen Jian panicked. He finally threw out a warning: "If you harm my child, I won't let you get away with it." 0

After Chen Jian left, the room fell silent once more. 0

I just can't understand how someone like that exists! How could Yu possibly like such a person? 0

Looking back, that girl Yu is truly pitiful to have encountered such a pervert. 0

Gao Qing knocked on the door again and said, "Are you silent? Did you die?" 0

I sighed and replied, "I'm not dead; I'm just going to sleep." 0

Gao Qing said, "Go to bed early and stop overthinking." 0

I didn't respond further and closed my eyes, preparing to sleep. Just then, my phone buzzed with a text message. I quickly turned over, grabbed my phone, and checked the message. The content was simple but jolted me awake. 0

It was from Zhang Xun: "Did you forget to offer incense to Urn?" 0

In my busyness, I indeed had forgotten, so I replied with a simple "Yes." 0

I stared at the screen, waiting for Zhang Xun's response. About five minutes later, Zhang Xun replied: "I knew it would be like this. First, drip three drops of your blood into the incense burner and light six sticks of incense. Do it now; I'll come find you later." 0

I quickly followed Zhang Xun's instructions without mentioning the question I had asked last time. 0

I decided not to push it further, thinking it would be fine to ask Zhang Xun in person when we met. 0

Time passed quickly. I only accompanied Gao Qing to buy some things and didn't do much else. The evening came, and we arrived at Uncle Cao's house. 0

Uncle Cao had already prepared everything, and Yue's Mother had woken up. Gao Qing called Yu over but had just barely grasped Yu's pulse when her tone suddenly turned tense as she asked, "What exactly did you do to yourself?" 0

Yue's parents anxiously asked, "Master, what's wrong?" 0

Gao Qing calmed his tone and replied, "It's nothing; I have my ways." He released Yu's hand and looked at him, adding, "Don't think that this means I have no solutions." 0

Gao Qing picked up the Cinnabar from the tea table and placed it into a bowl. Then he tore the pomelo leaves he had bought into pieces and added them to the bowl, mashing and mixing the two together. 0

I asked Gao Qing, "Aren't both of these things used to ward off evil?" 0

Gao Qing, perhaps angered, responded, "That's exactly what I intend to do—drive away evil and suppress it." 0

He instructed Gao Ling to help mash the mixture. Once again, Gao Ling was successfully summoned to assist. Gao Qing surveyed the villa's surroundings and then turned to Uncle Cao, asking, "Do you have any Yellow Cloth? Bring it all here." 0

Uncle Cao hurriedly replied that he did and sent Auntie to fetch it. She quickly returned with the Yellow Cloth. After it was brought in, Gao Qing ordered, "Cut it all into triangles to make flags—seven pieces will suffice." 0

As Auntie was cutting, Gao Qing coldly said to me, "Later, with the seven-piece Decree flag, we will exterminate the ghosts." 0
