It seemed that if I didn't resolve this matter with Dan Dan today, I wouldn't be able to leave Zhang Family Village peacefully.
At that moment, Dan Dan had changed into a cheongsam, still black, and I was curious why she was alone. Just as I thought this, footsteps sounded behind me, and a few more people appeared.
Damn it, it was truly frightening!
I said to Dan Dan, "What exactly do you want?"
Dan Dan smiled seductively and replied, "Of course, I want you to pay with your flesh." I cursed, "Pay with my flesh? No way."
Dan Dan's expression turned angry as she commanded, "Grab him!" As her voice fell, those who had become puppets behind me advanced toward me.
I found myself in an alley. Although it wasn't narrow, both sides were lined with houses—damn it—and they were the kind without yards. So I couldn't climb over the walls to escape. I opened my backpack and took out the items meant for exorcism. If you won't let me go, then don't blame me for being rude. If it comes down to it, I'll fight to the death. I realized that the trouble in Zhang Family Village was relentless; someone clearly didn't intend to let me leave.
I said to Dan Dan, "If you want something, come and take it yourself. What’s with relying on others?"
The people behind me were closing in. Dan Dan said, "I won't believe your nonsense anymore. Your blood has caused me too much pain—too much pain." Her voice turned chillingly cold.

Thinking this way, I acted swiftly. I kicked one person hard; he fell to the ground. Reacting quickly, I jumped on top of him and applied the cinnabar to his forehead while chanting incantations.
As soon as the cinnabar pressed against his third eye, he lay still for a moment before looking at me in surprise and asking, "Why are you on top of me?"
Wow, it really worked! I quickly got off him and shouted, "Run now or you'll be trapped!"
After he got up from the ground, he looked at me and said, "Aren't you that pervert?"
I was speechless.
I quickly moved aside. It seemed he had spotted his girlfriend, so he called out her name, saying, "What happened? Are you playing some kind of game?"
Upon witnessing this scene, Dan Dan remarked to me, "I didn't expect you to have some skills!"
I replied to Dan Dan, "Of course. If you're scared, just kneel down and beg for mercy now, and I might let you go."
Dan Dan scoffed and cursed, clearly ungrateful. Then she walked toward me. As for the college student who had just recovered, I let him run away, but he went to hug his girlfriend instead. Naturally, the outcome for him was quite tragic.
The bloody scene was something I could hardly bear to watch.
Dan Dan approached me, and at that moment, I had already coated my dagger with cinnabar. No matter what evil spirit possessed her, damn it, she wouldn't get away with harming me.
She moved quickly and kicked me in the chest. I flew backward and landed on the ground, spitting out blood. Her strength was truly overwhelming.
Dan Dan said, "Just accept your fate."
Accepting fate meant waiting for death. If I accepted it, I would be a fool. I got back up; since there was no escape, I would make her pay a price.
I lunged at her with the dagger, swinging wildly. Just as I was about to strike her face with a blow, Dan Dan suddenly said, "You should know that this body isn't mine. If you stab me, she will bear a permanent scar. If you kill me, you'll kill her too."
After she finished speaking, I thought about it carefully; she was right. If I stabbed her with a blade, I might indeed end up killing Dan Dan.
I froze for a second. In that moment of hesitation, Dan Dan reached out and grabbed my neck. "You really do cherish the delicate," she said as she tightened her grip until I couldn't breathe. Then she pushed me down onto the ground.
My body convulsed as I felt myself suffocating. She then spoke softly to me, "Do you remember what I told you? I could have let you enjoy yourself under my skirt before dying, but your actions have angered me. Now I'm going to dig out your heart and eat it before doing what needs to be done."
Hearing those words sent chills down my spine. Was she serious? I stared at her in panic, my heart racing uncontrollably.
I asked, "What do you want?"
She curled her lips into a strange smile, and just then my phone rang. I wanted to answer it, but it felt like I was being pressed down, unable to pick up the call.
No need to answer; it must be Fatty Zhang calling. This guy is really slow. If I die this time, it will definitely be his fault.
Damn it, this Fatty Zhang brought me to Zhang Family Village, and what did I find? Nothing but dead people in Zhang Family Village.
But what’s the outcome? Damn it, there are ghosts and mummies everywhere; it's truly life-threatening. The worst part is that someone has blocked the entrance.
Moreover, the Taoist priest and the woman in red have also disappeared.
Dan Dan smiled, and her smile grew increasingly unsettling. Then, I felt a hand touch my chest, starting off gently. But in the next moment, I could clearly feel a hand penetrating my skin, continuing to extend deeper inside.
The pain hit me like a tidal wave. I couldn't help but let out a scream; it was excruciatingly painful—damn it, Dan Dan was serious this time.
The pain was overwhelming, and finally, I couldn't hold on any longer and fainted. Damn it, my heart was being ripped out; could I still survive? Just then, in my daze, I heard someone say, "Damn it, I'm late."
After that, I completely lost consciousness and had no idea what happened next.
When I woke up, I found myself leaning against a car in the daylight. Sitting next to me was Fatty Zhang. Seeing him, I asked, "Am I dead?"
Fatty Zhang replied, "How could you die with me around?"
So I wasn't dead? The pain in my chest reminded me of my situation. I touched it and felt a white bandage wrapped around it. I asked, "My heart is still there, right?"
Fatty Zhang said, "If I hadn't arrived in time, you would have been dead. Chen Fei, consider this me saving your life."
Hearing this made me furious; I cursed at him, "You bastard! You almost got me killed this time! How can you still talk about saving my life? Do you have any shame?"
Fatty Zhang took a drag from his cigarette and said, "If I hadn't shown up, you would have really died."
I asked, "So how did you kill Dan Dan?" Zhang, the chubby guy, was momentarily stunned, but soon replied, "You mean that ghost that haunted you."
I nodded, and he continued, "Actually, it was quite simple. They were just resentful spirits. I burned that Black Cheongsam, and that was it."
"But Chen Fei," he added, "why did you put her Cheongsam in your backpack? You don't have a fetish, do you?"
I scoffed.
"With your dead brain, I was almost dead myself at the time! I just grabbed it without thinking. Who knew that Black Cheongsam was her lifeline?"
"But those resentful spirits were attached to the Black Cheongsam? Burning the Cheongsam solved everything?" Zhang confirmed.
"Seriously? It's that simple?" I exclaimed.
Zhang replied, "It really is that simple. But if it's so simple, why didn't I think of it? What about those people?"
He paused for a moment before saying, "I called the police. They'll handle the aftermath."
I quickly asked, "Will the police cause any trouble in Zhang Family Village?"
Zhang waved his hand dismissively. At that moment, he quickly pulled out a photo and asked, "Did he appear last night?"
