At that moment, those people went up to the second floor, turned right in the corridor, and continued towards the direction of the third floor. When they went up another flight of stairs, I took the opportunity to head down to the first floor! After leaving the apartment, I didn't see anyone, not even the shoemaker who usually squats at the door. It's really my lucky day! Instead of taking the main road I usually take, I took a shortcut home.
The first time doing such a thing, I feel like I'm going crazy. Is it really worth it? I shouldn't think too much about it. What's done is done. Now all I can do is make sure no one suspects that I did it.
They should have entered old woman's room by now. Maybe the police have arrived at the scene and started their investigation.
