We settled down in this small village in Yunnan. Later, according to the Woodcutter, we had been wandering around and somehow ended up at the border between Guangxi and Yunnan before finally entering Yunnan. After resting here for a few days, we decided to leave. 0

In the end, Fat Ma suggested we go to Kunming for a trip, privately telling me it was to check on the market situation. 0

Fat Ma's backpack was filled with Mingqi he had dug out from tombs, and Zhang Tong naturally refused to let him take them. After some discussion, they decided to go along, while Residual Anger and Huang Lin were assigned by Zhang Tong to return and report on their tasks. 0

The four of us made our way from the Yellow Mountain Old Forest to Kunming in Yunnan. In ancient times, Yunnan was known as the Dali Kingdom, and its beautiful scenery speaks for itself. 0

Throughout the journey, Fat Ma regarded Zhang Tong as a rival and remained on guard. 0

"Old Sun, why did you let her come along?" Fat Ma complained. 0

"Don't forget, we promised someone," I reminded him. 0

Upon hearing this, Fat Ma slapped his forehead and said, "Old Sun, if you hadn't mentioned it, I would have almost forgotten." With a grin, he walked over to Zhang Tong. "Comrade Zhang, about the reward you promised us last time..." 0

Zhang Tong frowned slightly, staring expressionlessly at Fat Ma before glancing at his backpack. Fat Ma instantly understood and softened his tone: "Comrade Zhang, well, last time was for serving the country; let's just forget about the reward." 0

Zhang Tong grunted in response, too lazy to engage with him. 0

Fat Ma got nowhere with that and came over to complain to me instead. Zhang Tong followed him, and seeing this, Fat Ma ran off to talk about life with the silent figure beside him. 0

Zhang Tong walked beside me, and the city of Kunming was bustling with activity, the sounds of various conversations filling the air. We chatted about many things; she asked me numerous questions, and I answered everything I could while keeping silent on matters I deemed inappropriate to discuss. 0

"You really are a blockhead," Zhang Tong said bluntly. 0

I responded with silence. 0

"Doing this kind of thing isn't a long-term solution; the government is cracking down hard now." 0

I teased back, "Does your archaeology team need more people?" I chuckled as I said it. 0

But Zhang Tong took it seriously. She pressed her lips together and replied, "I'll ask around for you when I get back." 0

I was taken aback by her earnestness. It took me a moment to process her response, and when I finally did, I hurriedly tried to explain myself. 0

However, Zhang Tong insisted she was serious and warned me that continuing down this path was dangerous. 0

With no way to argue against her, I decided to let her be. After all, it wouldn't hurt to inquire. We happily spent a few days exploring Kunming. During that time, Fat Ma checked the market conditions in Kunming but found them lacking; freshly unearthed items didn't have the same market appeal as those from Beijing's Panjiayuan. 0

A few antique dealers tried to swindle Fat Ma, but he ended up berating them thoroughly. 0

After a few days of this aimless wandering, Fat Ma lost interest, and we prepared to leave Kunming. At that point, Zhang Tong also needed to return to Beijing, which made Fat Ma quite pleased. 0

However, I felt it would be unfair for Zhang Tong to leave empty-handed. So, I had Fat Ma give her a few Mingqi items. Fat Ma looked pained; what should have been a quick exchange turned into nearly an hour of hassle. 0

Before Zhang Tong boarded the northbound train, we exchanged contact information. As the sound of the train roaring to life filled the air, Zhang Tong departed. 0

Watching the train leave, Fat Ma let out a sigh. 0

A day later, it was our turn to leave Kunming. We had initially planned to visit Fat Ma, but halfway through, Ni Ren mentioned an urgent matter and left ahead of us. 0

Fat Ma and I traveled all the way to Changsha. 0

To say that this journey was fruitful for Fat Ma would be an understatement. 0
