A faint blood stench spread through the air as I gritted my teeth and propped myself up with one hand, struggling to get back on my feet. 0

"Is it a zombie?" I asked, my voice strained. Blood trickled down my palm, and I used my other hand to grasp the injured one. My flashlight had fallen to the ground, and my expression was somewhat bitter. 0

"Let's take another look," came the calm voice of the Mud Man. 0

"Little Comrade, you should stay back," I heard the voice of Fish Head Elder. After speaking, Fish Head Elder circled around me and moved to the front. 0

Just as I was about to speak, Zhang Tong rushed over and grabbed me, saying, "You're injured; just listen to Fish Head Elder." Without waiting for my response, he pulled me backward. 0

Once we were at a safe distance, I blurted out, "How's the Fatty doing?" 0

Old Ghost's face was grim. "He's breathing shallowly; I fear he won't last much longer." Old Ghost stared at Fat Ma's face, his expression darkening. 0

After hearing Old Ghost's words, I immediately crouched down to check Fatty's breath. It was indeed as Old Ghost had said; Fatty was in critical condition. 0

During this time, Zhang Tong had already taken care of my wound. 0

"Does it hurt anymore?" Zhang Tong's gentle voice broke through the tension. 0

But at that moment, I had no mind to respond. 0

I shouted at the top of my lungs, "Mud Man, we can't delay any longer; the Fatty can't hold on much longer." 0

The Mud Man lifted his eyelids and glanced at me, nodding slightly. He drew a dagger from his waist, his movements fluid as water, and plunged it into Zongzi's chest. Suddenly, as the dagger pierced Zongzi's chest, Zongzi's eyes sprang open like springs, glaring fiercely at the Mud Man, filled with a newfound rage. 0

The Mud Man paid no heed to this and pulled out a container he carried with him, preparing to collect Zongzi's Heart's Blood. But just then, a change occurred; Zongzi's movements became more vigorous, its withered claws lunging toward the Mud Man. The Mud Man reacted quickly, furrowing his brow and agilely dodging the attack. 0

He withdrew and took a few steps back to steady himself and regain his composure. 0

Fish Head Elder was not idle either. As the Mud Man retreated, he immediately sprang into action, pulling out a long Steel Cable that appeared to be secured at both ends with iron clasps. Though it looked somewhat dull, it sounded extremely sharp when used. 0

In an instant, the long Steel Cable sliced through Zongzi's skin. Seizing the opportunity, Fish Head Elder wrapped the Steel Cable around Zongzi's throat. 0

At this point, Zongzi's struggles had diminished significantly. 0

Just when everyone thought Zongzi had been subdued, an astonishing scene unfolded: the Steel Cable slowly turned black. 0

"Quickly loosen the Steel Cable; it's poison!" Old Wang shouted in time. 0

Despite his old age, Fish Head Elder reacted swiftly. As soon as Old Wang finished speaking, he quickly discarded the Steel Cable. At that moment of throwing it away, the entire Steel Cable transformed into blackness. Fish Head Elder glanced at his palm and felt cold sweat bead on his forehead. 0

The potency of Zongzi's poison was unexpectedly severe and quite troublesome. 0

The Mud Man's expression also darkened. 0

"Everyone be careful and take a few steps back," Old Wang kindly reminded everyone. 0

At that moment, there was already some commotion in the crowd, but upon hearing Old Wang's words, they all began to step back. 0

Once it quieted down again, the atmosphere became tense once more, even the Zongzi seemed to freeze in place. 0
