Fat Ma chuckled a few times, not bothering to argue with Zhang Tong. Zhang Tong supported me as we moved forward into the deep Passageway, which led to an unknown realm—perhaps death, perhaps hope. 0

I gathered my thoughts and focused on the journey ahead. 0

After about a quarter of an hour, we finally emerged from the Passageway and arrived at a Training Ground. The vast area was now covered in corpses, with blood splattered everywhere, filling the air with a heavy stench of death. 0

The smell was overwhelming, making one feel nauseous. Zhang Tong struggled to hold it together, her brow furrowing slightly. Then she suddenly retched and vomited. 0

"Are you okay?" I asked with concern, patting her back. 0

"I'm fine," Zhang Tong forced a smile, but soon she was retching again. 0

"Cover your mouth and nose," I reminded her. 0

Following my advice, Zhang Tong did so and felt a bit better. 0

This Training Ground was likely the deadly place filled with traps that the previous person had mentioned! 0

As the searchlight swept across the area, we saw weapon racks and tattered drums scattered about, a sense of decay permeating the atmosphere. Yet through the disarray, hints of its former glory could still be seen. 0

Dozens of corpses lay on the ground, but strangely, each one was face down. 0

It was an odd phenomenon; I hadn't noticed it at first until Fat Ma pointed it out. 0

We nine stood before this grand Training Ground, stunned by the scene before us, frozen in place and too afraid to move. 0

Even Fat Ma, usually carefree and bold, remained still. This was undoubtedly a land of death; charging in recklessly would surely lead to doom. 0

The key question was how this Training Ground was set up. It was an open area roughly the size of a football field. If it were surrounded by Crossbows, that seemed unrealistic, and there were no signs of Arrow Feathers found underground. As I speculated, the more I felt something was off; the only explanation was that there were many traps buried beneath this Training Ground. 0

Looking at the corpses lying face down, I wondered if they had been tripped and then fell face-first, landing on sharp blades and meeting their untimely deaths. 0

It was quite possible. 0

I surveyed the bodies before me and glanced around the rest of the vacant space in the Training Ground. 0

I picked up a piece of discarded rotting wood next to the Training Ground and threw it with all my might toward the center of the area. However, due to my injured hand, it didn't go very far. The darkness was still and quiet until the sound of the wood breaking through the air shattered the silence as it hit the ground. 0

Fat Ma and the others hadn’t reacted yet, thinking something had happened, and they were on high alert. 0

But in the next moment, all their gazes were drawn to the wood in the center of the field, which had pierced through a body and shattered into splinters! 0

I watched the scene unfold, feeling a chill creep up my spine. Zhang Tong looked on in shock, while Fat Ma cursed loudly: “Damn! This is brutal! Who would have thought such a vast open space would be filled with so many traps?” 0

At that moment, looking at the corpses on the ground made me feel a sense of dread. If we had arrived first, it would have been us lying there instead. 0

From their backs, we couldn’t determine who they were. 0

Fat Ma flipped over the nearest body to take a look. Its chest resembled a beehive, punctured and drained of blood, completely devoid of any signs of life. The face appeared shriveled as if it were turning into a mummified corpse, extremely horrifying. 0

Fat Ma cursed again under his breath and stepped back. 0

Now we dared not move forward easily; we could only guess at the identities of some of these bodies. 0

Looking toward the end of this Training Ground, I noticed a vague shadow. Due to prolonged use of the Searchlight, it wasn't very clear, but I sensed there was a building ahead—though that wasn’t surprising. 0

The massive Ghostly Heavenly Palace was originally composed of several palaces; that’s what I thought. 0

These people, who had barely taken a few steps into the Training Ground, had already met their demise. Yet, they still charged forward without fear of danger, with some venturing nearly forty or fifty meters ahead, only to be unable to escape the fate of death. 0

I took a deep breath. Could it be the building at the end of the Training Ground that drew them in? What was so special about it? There were many strange and imposing structures here, so why were they so determined to reach that one? 0

Perhaps that was where the true purpose of this journey lay. 0

The Mud Man glanced over. 0

"We need to go there," the Eerie Figures suddenly spoke to the Mud Man, a rare occurrence for him. 0

The Mud Man paused for a moment before replying, "Maybe someone has already gone." 0

The Eerie Figures did not respond. 0

However, this statement caught our attention! 0

"What do you mean by that?" I couldn't help but ask. 0

"There are definitely not a few who can make it there!" the Mud Man replied. 0

"Have you seen any bodies of mysterious figures?" 0

With the Mud Man's reminder, I began to search for bodies in the Training Ground and indeed found no sign of anyone dressed in black. Could it be that they had truly made it through? 0

I felt a bit puzzled. 0

"Mud Man, just tell us if you have a way," Fat Ma urged impatiently. 0

"There is definitely a way." 0

"This vast Training Ground can't possibly be filled with traps in every single gap, so our way forward lies in finding those gaps." 0

"Dead Mud Man, what you said is no different from saying nothing at all. Fat Master, I noticed that too," he replied. 0

The Mud Man was momentarily speechless. 0

However, I began to pick up on something. I started observing the positions of the corpses. After a while, it felt like the spots where they had fallen connected to form a kind of map. 0

I voiced my thoughts. 0

They all began to observe according to my suggestion, and sure enough, they started to see the clues as well. 0

"That's right, that's right," Fat Ma exclaimed excitedly. 0

Perhaps this was a map of traps. I speculated that since there were no more corpses left, we would have to piece together this trap map step by step based on our guesses and deductions. Although I had this theory, I still hesitated to test it out recklessly. 0

Standing before this Training Ground, we ate some food to replenish our strength. 0

As I chewed on the hardtack, savoring each bite, I said, "Wait a moment; I'll go try to see if I can make it through!" 0

As soon as I finished speaking, everyone's gaze turned toward me. 0
