I felt increasingly lost. 0

Yet, Wei became more and more real. Many people were excited, as if all their efforts and perseverance had been worthwhile. 0

"Wei, my king." 0

These people couldn't help but bow down. 0

I was supported by my father, watching the scene unfold. I parted my lips to speak but ultimately remained silent, unsure of what to say. 0

I shifted my gaze back to Wei, who seemed to sense my attention and looked in my direction. 0

Perhaps I should believe that all of this is real, I thought to myself. 0

But suddenly, someone responded to me. The voice said, "Maybe all of this is fake!" 0

I turned toward the source of the voice and saw his gaze; he was smiling at me. I couldn't decipher the meaning behind that smile, but somehow, I sensed something deeper. 0

She was still confronting him. 0

And it seemed she was waiting for an answer from Wei. 0

Many things had lost their meaning by now; after all, so many years had passed. Just like back then, during that grand Ritual, the one concerning her. 0

But back then, no one had died. 0

The war that the Ritual sought to pray for did not end in victory. Instead, a small accident occurred—she had somehow survived permanently. 0

The moment she crawled out of the Bronze Coffin, she understood everything. 0

In the end, Wei, as the proponent of the Ritual back then, now saw it all as a conspiracy. She had survived, and so had he. 0

Now, they were face to face. 0

Her piercing gaze fixed intently on Wei. 0

Finally, Wei let out a long sigh. 0

As everyone awaited the outcome, suddenly, Wei was engulfed in flames of Mysterious Violet. The intense light made the Yin Soldiers of Youlan seem to vanish into thin air. 0

"Don't! Your Majesty!" someone shouted in desperation. 0

Some tried to rush forward but were blocked by Wei, who radiated an undeniable aura of authority. He declared, "Let me atone for my sins!" As he spoke, a single tear slipped from the corner of his eye. 0

"If she wants me dead, then so be it!" This was Wei's last statement. Soon after, the flames of Mysterious Violet consumed him, and the Yin Soldiers began chanting Ghostly Script to guide him back into the Bronze Coffin. 0

The Ghostly Script sung by the Yin Soldiers this time carried a sense of sorrow that resonated with everyone present. People knelt once more; some even wept and wailed. 0

After so many years of effort, success was finally within reach, only to be reduced to ashes now. 0

"Your Majesty, why is this happening?" 0

Someone voiced their confusion. 0

But no one answered. 0

In this world, there will no longer be Wei, nor will there be their king! Originally, he should not have existed at all. 0

As she gazed at Wei, who had died once more, a tear slipped from the corner of her eye after he completely vanished. Yet her gaze remained incredibly resolute. 0

Suddenly, she walked towards me, leaving me somewhat bewildered! 0

She looked at me, then glanced at Song Ran, and finally said, "Show your true face!" 0

Song Ran paused for a moment and tore away a layer of skin from his face. However, the visage revealed shocked me; the face he wore was mine. But looking at his body made it clear that this was not me. 0

Quickly, he peeled off another layer of skin from his face, revealing a delicate countenance belonging to a girl around twenty years old. 0

Upon witnessing this scene, the Mud Man finally breathed a sigh of relief, as his previous doubts about me were completely resolved. 0

I now understood that this was a carefully orchestrated scheme, and I had been led step by step into its depths. 0

I looked at her and asked, "Are you Hills?" 0

She nodded heavily in response. 0

Her expression was calm, betraying no hint of turmoil. 0

Finally, she said to me, "Thank you. You are a good person!" 0

I was somewhat speechless as I continued to gaze at her. 0

"In fact, my real name is not Hills; it is Kuiling." After saying this, she did not wait for my reply and added, "Everyone needs to exit quickly! This place is about to collapse!" 0

"I have already triggered the mechanism!" Hills said to me. 0

The sounds caused panic among some, but others remained kneeling on the ground, unwilling to accept that their king was dead. 0

Yet, some had already begun to retreat. 0

"Follow me! I know a shortcut!" Hills shouted. 0

What about Zhang Tong? I suddenly felt confused. Seeing Hills lying on the ground, I rushed over and picked her up, then followed her out. 0

Some people were reluctant to leave; no one could persuade them. In the end, with no other choice, we had to go ahead without them. 0

Fat Ma limped along behind me. 0

Suddenly, just when it seemed we had reached the end of the third floor, a small path appeared before us. We followed it and soon arrived at Long Bridge. 0

Those who emerged quickly crossed Long Bridge. 0

But just as we steadied ourselves, Hills unexpectedly ran back again. 0

The ground began to shake, cracks appeared in the walls above us, and Long Bridge was swaying violently. The buildings in sight were already collapsing. 0

I called out to Hills, urging her to hurry over, but she didn’t move. 0

She stood still, the wind from the cliff blowing up towards her, her hair fluttering. Her expression was somewhat sorrowful as she said to me, "I do not belong to this world either!" 0

Suddenly, just as she finished speaking, one end of Long Bridge broke off. Hills fell like a butterfly that had lost its wings, gracefully plummeting toward the abyss below. 0

I felt a sharp pain pierce through me. I shouted Hills' name, begging her not to go. 0

I prepared to move my feet, but when I realized I still held Zhang Tong in my arms, my steps froze! Fat Ma yelled at me to hurry up! 0

The cliff across had already collapsed, and the cliff on this side was also on the verge of crumbling! 0

Finally, we moved again. Afterward, I turned back for one last look; Hills had vanished, and all I could hear behind me was the sound of the wind and the rumble of falling boulders. 0

It seemed everything was about to end! Or perhaps it had already ended! 0

.......................................................................... 0

A year later, under the witness of my friends from Fat Ma and Zhang Tong, we willingly married as planned, much to the delight of my grandfather and father. 0

However, there were some words we would never speak of. 0

And there were some questions I no longer wished to ask or know the so-called answers to. 0

As long as the people around me were there, that was the happiest thing! 0

A few days later, the post office suddenly delivered a letter addressed to me. The envelope had no signature, but after reading the letter, a tidal wave surged within me once more. 0

In the lower right corner of the letter was the name Hills. 0
