As things reached this point, both of their emotions plummeted into an icy abyss, leaving no possibility for a rebound in the short term.
When the time came, two disproportionately matched figures charged at each other, colliding until one of them lost consciousness or voluntarily declared defeat.
Aside from these two scenarios, delivering a fatal blow to an opponent was strictly prohibited.
On the other side, among Group A, a fleeting figure darted through the crowd. Before long, the remaining five members of Group A fell to the ground, unable to muster even the strength to stand. It was a single strike that left them incapacitated before they could even cry out. One glance at the skill displayed made it clear that this individual was no ordinary foe, as countless shadows began to approach in tandem.
The young man wore a sinister grin on his face, and on that face, one could clearly see strange Steel Needles embedded in his skin's acupoints, making him appear like a Puppet moving sluggishly.
As he moved, eerie clicking sounds emanated from his body, sending chills down the spine of anyone who heard it.
The young man chuckled as he looked down at his chin and said, "Atet Examiner, these people are utterly useless. I knocked them all out. If I haven't broken any rules, does that mean I can advance?"
Atate turned toward the source of the voice and replied, "That's enough; you can advance. If they can't even defend against this level of attack, then recruiting such individuals as Hunters would be pointless; they would only end up dead. Alright, by the way, what’s your name?"
"Zhu Biye?!" A deep voice resonated from him, carrying a strong and ruthless intent. "My name is Zhu Biye. Examiner, I'm leaving now."
Atate responded, "Well done, Zhu Biye. Congratulations on becoming a Hunter ahead of time. You can't leave just yet; wait until everyone has passed before you receive the official appointment and team qualification from the association. For now, take a break."
"Very well then, farewell."
Zhu Biye turned away indifferently and vanished like a ghost into thin air; in the next moment, he was no longer visible on the field.
It took Atate a while to regain his composure. After experiencing various missions, Hunters often displayed an indifferent attitude when confronting certain matters or individuals. Their pride was frequently hidden within themselves and rarely revealed any expression beyond coldness on their faces.
However, as the examiner, Atate clearly felt not fear when facing Zhu Biye, but rather an icy indifference, as if it didn't matter how many people were killed.
As he got closer, he caught a whiff of a scent masked by ordinary perfume, a smell that made the sweat seem unbearably sour and suffocating, reminiscent of blood that had begun to rot.
This made Atate's mood dampen slightly. Leaning on his chin, he chuckled, "It's good he didn't see through me. Someone like him is truly terrifying; once he joins the Hunter Association, he'll surely become a new backbone force right away, hahaha." After saying this, he let out a quiet sigh, his anxiety growing.
At that moment, accompanied by a scream, a figure from Group C emerged. Behind him was an old man in a weakened state, crawling on the ground like a limp worm compared to his previously robust physique.
"Old man, just die already, hahaha."
A chubby man with a face full of flesh kicked at the old man's soft ribs with malice.
"Why... why aren't we partners?" The old man spat out blood pitifully, showing his frail age.
"Hey, old man, I don't care if you're a martial artist; the biggest enemies are often not those you see. You should be wary of those around you. You trusted others too much and fell for my drug. Just sleep peacefully now, hahaha."
Including Old Master and the other three victims, Owen had harmed three people in total. With this incident and two spots available for one team, he had snatched two spots at once.
Just then, footsteps grew closer behind him. The chubby man slowly shifted his gaze downward to see a pair of long, fair legs. With a large chest, a pointed face, and an S-shaped figure, every aspect could drive men wild. Owen grinned and said, "Hehe, I'm impressive, right? I've taken care of them all. Master, do you have any orders?"
"Um, none for now. Go announce it to the examiner," replied a young-looking Loli without even glancing at the chubby man beside her whose eyes were nearly popping out. She stepped out of sight in her high heels.
"Hehe, truly dying under the peony skirt is still charming in death; there will always be a cousin who will fall for me. Hehehe, for her sake, I can go to any lengths," Owen thought to himself.
After the announcement, Group C also had two spots cleared.
When Atate saw these two individuals, he couldn't help but feel a sense of disbelief, quickly brought back to reality by the stark contrast before him. Having witnessed many hunters with exceptional physiques, he found these two to be almost devoid of such attributes. In terms of psychological resilience, aside from a few tricks up their sleeves, they lacked mental fortitude, were unskilled in combat, and had mediocre physical abilities. Yet, it was precisely these two who met the standards.
The girl, Loli, said sweetly, "Examiner, are we not good enough?"
Looking into Loli's eyes, Atate instinctively wanted to look away, but he couldn't help but gaze at the charming girl. After a moment, he cleared his throat and said loudly, "Ahem, you both passed. Go rest over there and wait for me to call you. When I do, come immediately, understood?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Loli quickly took off her high heels and tossed them aside before bouncing away. The chubby guy hurriedly picked up the discarded shoes and chuckled nervously as he chased after the rapidly disappearing girl.
"Ah, what a strange world this is," Atate muttered to himself, shaking his head in complaint.
But his boredom was interrupted by a sudden uproar; two figures were grappling with each other. It seemed neither had yet exerted their full strength. Among them was a young man whose movements were swift and precise. He executed a powerful punch akin to a Heavy Cannon Fist that struck directly. With a quick motion, he deflected the force and stepped forward to deliver a palm strike to the chest of a burly man, forcing him back two steps.
The burly man huffed heavily like a Mighty Bull, his fiery red eyes radiating intimidation as he charged forward like a raging beast. His massive frame moved swiftly, resembling a frenzied penguin as his feet pounded against the ground with thunderous echoes.
On the other side, the young man smiled slightly as he twisted his neck, the sound of cracking bones echoing within him.
In an instant, his arms appeared to have doubled in strength. The two clashed at close range without uttering a sound as they engaged in a fierce struggle for dominance.
