"Commander," Yan Yan said, "we have already sent the coordinates back. It's time for us to leave." 0

Tang Bai looked a bit confused. "Is it already time? I didn't expect it to be this quick. In that case, let's return to the association. Everyone, back." 0

Freyr and the others didn't pay much attention to them; they still had their own missions to carry out. 0

Even after the situation concluded, the second team had to continue executing their tasks, despite having sustained injuries within their ranks. 0

This did not deter them from following orders. In fact, the burden on the remaining healthy team members was heavier than ever. 0

Tang Bai glanced back at the younger members of the Hunter Team before leaving and said, "Will your upcoming mission be tough? If so, we can help share the load. You can keep the mission rewards; we just want some corpses as compensation." The group that was about to head back paused. Clearly, aside from Tang Bai's enthusiastic demeanor, the others remained indifferent, with some even displaying disdain. 0

Freyr could see through their thoughts, though he chose not to confront them verbally. 0

After all, if they needed something from them, they would inevitably feel restrained and look down on them from the bottom of their hearts. "That's fine; issues will always arise in team operations. We'll handle them ourselves. Thank you for your concern; we can manage." 0

"Is that so? That's good to hear. If you ever need us in the future, please let us know. When you return, I'll treat you all to a meal," Tang Bai replied with a slight smile. 0

"Sure, there will be a time for that," Freyr responded, turning back with a knowing smile shared among his companions. 0

Once the military-grade Hunter Team 09 left, they made their way back to the city center of Slyland on foot. 0

A knock echoed through the night. 0

The butler found himself unable to sleep again. In fact, every time he prepared living offerings for the Insectoid, he would suffer from insomnia. 0

As he tossed and turned in bed, he finally heard the knocking sound coming from downstairs. 0

It was late; surely it couldn't be guests checking in at this hour. There had been instances before where guests arrived late at night, but he wrapped himself in drowsiness and slowly made his way downstairs, cautiously opening the door a crack to peek outside. 0

To his surprise, six people stood at the entrance, two of whom were injured. His keen nose detected something unusual; these individuals carried a scent that was distinctly different from those he had treated with his medicinal powders. He never forgot those he had personally dealt with before. But this time was unprecedented—had those six people returned? Were they here as vengeful spirits or to report good news? 0

As he hesitated, a series of responses echoed from the other side of the door. 0

"It's so late; they can't still be awake, can they? That butler seems old; maybe we should just forget it." 0

"This news must be told to him. He won't have to do these dirty jobs anymore; he can rest easy." 0

"Commander, you always think of others. What if you get hurt yourself? If he's not here, do we just keep waiting? Let's leave a note." 0

"I'm here, I'm here! Don't go, wait a moment." A slightly hoarse voice came from beyond the door. 0

Soon, the ancient door creaked open, and the butler peeked out, scrutinizing the six people in front of him with his reddened eyes. 0

"What? Do we look like ghosts?" Freyr smiled and gestured. 0

"Um, it's better to be cautious. Don't bring any tails inside. If there's something important, come in and say it." The butler stepped outside to take a quick look around, stopping beside Parker to sniff the air. He continued, "Get him to apply some medicine quickly; otherwise, that flesh on his leg will rot. At such a young age, he shouldn't have to spend his life in a wheelchair." 0

"Uh, yeah," Ross nodded. "You all care about him but not me. All his weight falls on me; I'm also a victim. Meow." Ross's legs couldn't help but swing back and forth as he spoke painfully. 0

"Alright then, everyone come in." 0

The butler surveyed the area one last time before entering the house. He closed the door behind him with a deep sigh of relief. 0

"What exactly happened outside? Those people came back in a strange state." The butler rubbed his reddened eyes, clearly still not quite right. 0

"Well, we didn't plan on coming back alive when we set out. This time was particularly dangerous," Freyr explained everything that had happened in detail. During this time, the butler asked many questions about various details. When he heard that the general situation had been resolved, tears of excitement filled his eyes. 0

"It’s finally over," the butler said, overwhelmed with emotion. 0

"There shouldn’t be any more Insectoid disturbances in your lives from now on. Overall, this operation can be considered quite successful. Unfortunately, we still didn’t encounter that person you were looking for. We couldn’t find any other leads on this matter; alas, that was a miscalculation. You shouldn’t have any problems from now on, so your family is safe starting now. Once I return, I will report to the association and ensure your family is thoroughly protected," Freyr assured him. 0

"Thank you, thank you so much," the butler said, holding Freyr's hand, tears streaming down his face. 0

"Alright, starting tomorrow we have to go out for other missions. We can't avoid staying here longer than planned. I hope you won't feel any burden and can carry on," Freyr replied. 0

The group went up to the second floor, where the butler retrieved an old bone scraper and a very outdated anesthetic from under the bed. 0

The anesthetic had a smell reminiscent of alcohol; in fact, regular alcohol could only disinfect but had no anesthetic effect. 0

However, this peculiar anesthetic seemed to be quite effective, as it rendered the person completely unconscious without any sensation of pain. 0

Quickly, he used the bone scraper to carefully remove the rotten flesh, allowing the toxic blood to flow out. Once the skin turned back to a healthy white, he applied a special ointment and wrapped it with bandages, marking the end of the procedure. 0

Such injuries were not difficult to treat; a bit of medical knowledge was all that was needed for self-treatment. 0

The butler cleaned up some of the rotten flesh on Parker Parkinson's leg. Now they just had to wait for new tissue to grow back for it to be considered a success. 0

Parker could only rest and was unable to participate in any missions. Meanwhile, Mackey's life signs remained stable, though he seemed mentally drained. After tossing and turning all night without sleep, his condition appeared gloomy. It was clear that he couldn't go on a mission in such a state. 0

So when it was time for their second outing, they immediately placed him in a hotel room and asked the butler to take care of him. If possible, he should take some sleeping pills to stabilize his emotions; hopefully, after a good night's sleep, he would feel better. 0
