As the four individuals revealed themselves, other figures soon appeared behind them— a group dressed in white. The eyes of these people were slightly reddened.
The reason was quite simple; taking advantage of the doctor's shift change, Xiong Tai and his companions had hurried out. The doctor reviewed the surrounding footage and discovered that they had arrived in the vicinity.
They were caught on the spot.
The commotion wasn't very loud. Both Xiong Tai and Ross entered the ambulance with remarkable composure.
Watching the familiar figure outside, still diligently working out, Freyr was relieved that he hadn’t noticed their arrival. It all seemed like a farce that was quickly resolved. It wasn’t until the ambulance drove away that Freyr realized it had been there moments before. The two Trainers thought they had just seen a group of mental patients being loaded into the vehicle by doctors wielding straightjackets.
"So those were mental patients? Thank goodness nothing happened," Freyr swallowed nervously, as if fearing that such an incident might occur again.
But everyone knew it must have been a coincidence. It was unlikely for mental patients to appear repeatedly; otherwise, they would have long since become enlightened beings.
"Alright, focus your concentration and don’t let it wane," Freyr replied with difficulty, showing a peace sign as he struggled to perform push-ups, balancing his body on just two fingers.
He continued this exercise until he completed five sets of fifty. By then, he had merely warmed up; even hellish push-ups posed no challenge at his current level. The training regimen still lacked difficulty, but the most troublesome part was standing in a horse stance with a barbell resting on his shoulders, forcing his body to feel the weight.
This would quickly drain his stamina; indeed, only the horse stance could do so effectively. It was a grueling test of willpower, especially as it formed the foundation for all martial arts.
Thus, higher-level training continued as time passed.
Then he received a call from home; it was from the association. The voice on the other end belonged to a very frantic old man, speaking at an astonishing speed.
However, at the same time, he excitedly explained what was to come next. The remaining four members of the Soldier-Level Hunter Team had all been discharged from the hospital, and it seemed like everyone there was so happy they could almost roar with joy.
Upon hearing this news, Freyr exchanged a brief word with Su Qian and then said nothing more. He took Relock and drove back to the association. They arrived at a playground on the outskirts of Wanderer's Home, where four individuals of varying heights and builds were gathered. Each of them had developed quite well; the effects of hormones over the past month and a half were evident as they had all put on weight. Xiong Tai's arm was as thick as an average person's, but he didn’t seem to care.
While hormones can lead to weight gain, they are also excellent supplements that effectively enhance strength. Everyone had been living quite comfortably in the hospital, smiles plastered on their faces. It was hard to tell whether their joy stemmed from seeing their old friend after such a long time or something else entirely. Now that they were reunited, they embraced each other warmly, laughter echoing across the playground.
"Welcome back, guys! I've missed you all so much," Freyr exclaimed in response to their laughter. He wanted to say more, but the term "guys" encompassed so much already. It was true that he missed them dearly; perhaps it was the bond formed over time. He remembered feeling sorrowful when leaving the team before, but now those feelings were replaced with happiness and excitement.
At this moment, they were all most delighted because of their reunion. However, due to Xiong Tai and the others having gained significant weight, they would need time to get back into shape. The process would be more challenging than anticipated; it would take a considerable amount of time and could be long and painful. Many might not be able to endure it, but even so, there was no choice but to persevere until the end to achieve unprecedented results.
Xiong Tai's current state would likely leave him breathless after just a few flights of stairs; his weight placed a much greater burden on his heart than before.
"Commander, how many Reward Points did our team earn this time?" Xiong Tai suddenly asked with a frown.
"Not much—just over a hundred thousand Score. The association also assured me that we would have the right to obtain items for free. I plan to give this opportunity to Ross since he took on the most responsibility during this mission. Let's exchange that Breaking Dawn bow for him, and then we can evenly distribute the remaining Reward Points among the six of us," Freyr explained immediately. Upon hearing this decision, Ross jumped up in excitement, but at that moment, Freyr quickly restrained his overly exuberant reaction and continued, "It's not difficult to exchange items for you all; what's challenging is waiting until you finish your body sculpting before we go to Wanderer's Home for rewards. That’s what we need to focus on now—exchanging rewards. Relying on external items for strength isn't true strength. If we lose the abilities granted by those weapons, do we plan to hide in a corner waiting for our enemies to kill us? If you're willing to endure hardship with me, come along; if not, stay here and think things through."
At this point, Freyr looked at his companions ahead of him. Perhaps he had held their gaze for too long; they began to feel uncomfortable. Then all four moved closer to Freyr.
With his focused leadership skills, Freyr gathered them together, and everyone agreed on the course of action—so it was settled.
"Since we've decided, let's head to my place. I've hired a specialized body sculpting coach who helped me gradually regain my current physique. I believe if you follow his instructions strictly, you should also succeed in sculpting your bodies," he explained while detailing the training process. The others present shook their heads continuously as they listened, looking into Freyr's gray eyes; they finally resolved to commit fully to their body sculpting training.
"Commander, give us the order," they almost chorused in response. Freyr felt touched and nodded silently without saying anything further.
Then he glanced around at everyone and smiled. "Alright then! Everyone gather up; we'll run together to my house! Starting today, we'll run five kilometers every morning and another five kilometers every evening as essential endurance training. Come on! Let's start running!" With that said, Freyr took off at the front of the group toward the corner ahead.
The others exchanged glances and shared knowing smiles before quickly following behind him. This wasn’t about racing each other for speed; it was endurance training where maintaining a steady pace was key since no one could realistically run five kilometers nonstop unless they had iron lungs.
