As they ventured deeper into the Catacomb, the memories of their previous encounter at the Ice Spirit Pool seemed to fade into insignificance. This place truly felt fraught with danger. 0

At that moment, Ross suddenly took on the role of a guide, moving cautiously ahead. Although his behavior might have seemed beyond the understanding of most, many recognized that he meant no harm. They could certainly navigate the challenges on their own. 0

However, given their past experiences, Ross's ability to manage danger at critical moments was nothing short of astonishing. He had a knack for turning crises into manageable situations, drawing upon everything he had faced before. Those experiences were quite harrowing, and although he had shared some of them in conversation, it was clear to those in the know that there were still untold stories. Only those directly involved could truly grasp what had transpired. 0

They had long since passed through a chamber with a peculiar layout, and while they were not yet out of danger, the current situation felt like the trials were just beginning. They found themselves walking high above ground, balancing on narrow paths barely a few centimeters wide. They walked on their toes to maintain stability, taking their time as rushing would only lead to missteps. 0

As long as the Living Spirit did not appear immediately behind them, it seemed unlikely that it could reach this precarious spot. Even if it tried to approach on tiptoe, it would struggle to match their agility. It had been a long time since any of them had engaged in such ultimate outdoor activities, and there was an undeniable thrill in the air. Below them lay an unfathomable abyss; they could not discern what lay beneath, and the oppressive darkness offered no hint of light. The atmosphere was unsettling. 0

After some time, their progress became increasingly arduous. They had been walking for what felt like ages, and turning back would likely take even longer. The Living Spirit had already emerged from a crevice, and if they couldn't find a way out soon, they couldn't be sure whether they could survive a fall from this height. 0

If it were possible to incapacitate the creature by falling, then firearms would suffice. However, using guns might not inflict any real damage; even if its physical form were destroyed, it could simply regenerate through parasitic means—merely a function of its programming. 0

The operation and computation of Alchemical techniques resembled computer programming but involved far more complex calculations than what a human brain could easily manage. This limitation stemmed from inherent thinking patterns; the Living Spirit relied on the core secrets of Alchemical computations for its existence. While it possessed formidable logic and reasoning abilities, its tactical adaptability was rigid like that of a machine. If only humans could apply their creativity—even if imperfectly—they might devise ways to circumvent certain problems. 0

Moreover, one could not always predict when such entities would appear; their survival capabilities suggested they were unafraid of lava or extreme cold. Given their Alchemical nature, exposure to lava might even allow them to merge with such extreme environments—this adaptability was intrinsic to these Living Spirits. 0

The earlier transformation of the pond into a whirlpool likely indicated that the Living Spirit had merged with the water itself. Water is notoriously difficult to disrupt; thus, such guardians became even more formidable and nearly invulnerable. 0

Time passed—perhaps several hours—and everyone began to feel sore all over, especially in their leg muscles. None expected that this endless mountain path would stretch on so long; returning would surely require several more hours of walking before they could rest. They found themselves at a loss for how to proceed. 0

In an unexpected moment, they noticed that the path ahead suddenly widened. Someone tentatively stepped forward; as soon as they did so, the ground shifted slightly beneath them. When both feet were firmly planted on this new surface, a new step appeared before them. 0

If a person could step onto it without any issues, what would happen if multiple people tried to do the same? Would the floating stone platform sink? In reality, although they had considered this, none of them had the courage to attempt it. One by one, they cautiously approached, their feet touching the stone platform. However, when the last person stepped onto the second platform, the first stone platform suddenly vanished into thin air, revealing the Black Abyss beneath—a true A Bottomless Abyss. 0

The endpoints of these stone platforms were unknown, but it was clear that they could create platforms out of thin air and suspend them in space. Moreover, as soon as everyone reached the second platform, the previous one disappeared on its own. 0

If it were merely a simple computational model, it would be impossible to achieve such precision. Each person felt a strange sensation, as if something was intently watching their bodies, and this feeling was very pronounced. 0

Even if they were fools, they absolutely could not allow those entities to invade their Thinking, peering into their deeper Thinking. It seemed that those things thrived on some form of Thought, likely feeding on fear as their sustenance. 0

They truly did not want to know what kind of entity lay behind this phenomenon. As they ventured deeper, the space around them began to tremble, and they found themselves caught in a black vortex, quickly transported to another void. 0

However, what they encountered next was something entirely unexpected—a paradise. This place felt like a land of extraordinary talent and spirit, surrounded by mountains and rivers; it was a perfect spot where one need not worry about food or shelter. There were fish in the water, easily reachable with just an arm's stretch. 0

As all six of them arrived here, the most peculiar among them was Nosty. Being blind, he was immune to illusions and similar attacks. Then there was Ross. 0

He ordered everyone not to stray even a step from their position. Following that, Ross used his blood for an initial contact test. Indeed, wherever he went, ripples spread through the environment, causing him to feel a twinge of embarrassment in his heart. 0
