At that moment, Takeda Dairo's expression was dark, raindrops falling on his face, stirring his emotions like a lake battered by rain, leaving him unsettled and unsure of what to do in such a brief span of time.
A thunderclap erupted, causing Takeda Dairo to flinch. Then he saw Jiang Chen pointing his index finger toward the sky, a brilliant light emanating from his hand as a bolt of lightning descended. The lightning struck a large tree in the estate, instantly turning it into charred remains, incinerating several snipers hidden within.
"Those unrelated, leave here quickly," Jiang Chen commanded in a low voice. His words resonated like the sound of a divine bell from the highest heavens, shaking everyone to their core.
The guests, filled with panic, lost all interest in the wedding. Seeing that Heavy Rain had not yet arrived, they rushed toward the exit.
"Kikuko, hurry and come with me," Tengye Shi said urgently, his face pale with fear as he called for his daughter.
However, Tengye Kikuko did not leave; she gazed at Jiang Chen with a somewhat dazed expression, filled with curiosity about him.
"Kikuko, come with me; we can't stay any longer," Tengye Shi insisted again. When he saw his daughter unmoved, he hurriedly joined several clan members to pull her away. But Tengye Kikuko broke free and moved closer to Jiang Chen once more.
Tengye Shi feared Jiang Chen and dared not make any sudden movements near him. Seeing his daughter refuse to leave, he shot her an exasperated look before leading the others away.
Murata Kazuki was also terrified at this moment.
"Honda-senpai, we should go too," Murata Kazuki said to Honda Tashun, his voice trembling slightly. Jiang Chen was no ordinary person; he regretted offending him now more than ever. If he had known how powerful Jiang Chen was, he would never have dared to cross him.
Since he had already offended Jiang Chen, retreating was the best course of action now. But Jiang Chen had already developed a murderous intent; there was no way he would let Murata Kazuki escape easily. With a thunderous crash, lightning struck directly at Murata Kazuki like an exploding bomb. The blinding light illuminated ten acres of grassland in an instant as the shockwave from the lightning surged outward like a tidal wave.
The closest person to Murata Kazuki was Honda Tashun; the heat from the lightning ignited his clothes. Forgetting all about maintaining his image as a swordsmanship expert, Honda Tashun frantically rolled on the ground in an attempt to extinguish the flames.
Meanwhile, those from the Tengye Family who had already distanced themselves were caught in the shockwave and were thrown to the ground. As ordinary people, they were severely injured by the sudden force.
The Takeda Family members fared little better; even though Takeda Dairo had some cultivation skills and maintained a steady stance, he struggled to keep his balance and stumbled backward before finally falling down.
The only ones unscathed at the scene were Jiang Chen and Tengye Kikuko. She clearly felt enveloped by a strange energy as the lightning's shockwave whizzed past her, distorting the air around her.
