Chen Feifei was undeniably beautiful. It was no wonder that during college, she became Wang Chao's goddess, especially with her alluring figure that had attracted countless admirers back then. Without a doubt, Wang Chao was one of the failures among them. Today, unexpectedly encountering Chen Feifei here made Wang Chao sigh, pondering how life brings people together in unexpected ways. However, he felt nothing now.
If you were to live in the same room as a beauty for a year, your aesthetic sense would surely improve.
Thus, Wang Chao did not feel any thrill of a "loser" making a comeback; instead, he gently pushed Chen Feifei away from his embrace. The others finally reacted, glancing between Wang Chao and the young man who lay unconscious on the ground, unsure of what to do. Wang Chao understood their thoughts and reassured them, "Don't worry, he won't die; he's just fainted."
Hearing Wang Chao's words, everyone felt relieved.
"I want to eat something," Chen Feifei said, looking at Wang Chao with her eyes blinking. It had been a year since they last met, yet she seemed just like before. Wang Chao shook his head helplessly, thinking to himself that he had said not to let anyone eat; did that include her? He shrugged and replied, "Go ahead and eat." Chen Feifei glanced at him and then at the men behind her, seemingly afraid of something. In the end, she walked over to the shelf and began to devour the food.
Wang Chao watched in astonishment as if Chen Feifei hadn't eaten in ages.
Before he could recover from his surprise, he heard a "gurgle" sound coming from afar. Following the sound, he saw a woman standing behind the crowd. Although she was called a woman, she looked to be in her twenties. The sound clearly came from her stomach, indicating her hunger. Sensing Wang Chao's puzzled gaze, she said shyly, "I'm hungry; I want to eat too." With that, she lowered her head.
Wang Chao was even more confused but still said, "It's fine; eat as much as you want!"
The woman couldn't hide her joy and immediately walked over. However, as she passed by the men, her expression changed noticeably. Seeing this scene made Wang Chao realize there was something fishy about this group. The two sat down and ate without any decorum, which made Wang Chao feel a pang of sadness. He asked, "What's going on? Haven't you eaten enough before?"
Chen Feifei glanced at the men but remained silent while another woman continued to eat.
Before Wang Chao could react further, a middle-aged man with yellowing teeth and a broad smile said, "There's only so much food here; with so many people around, giving it to the women is pointless. Look at them; do they look like they can fight off zombies? Just let them eat!" He then pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket to offer Wang Chao.
Upon hearing the middle-aged man's words, both women stopped eating and looked up at Wang Chao in unison. He rolled his eyes and said firmly, "Eat! From today on, you two can eat as much as you want." Wang Chao intended to meet up with Yang Mengying and others soon; his Spatial Ring was already filled with supplies. Since he couldn't take all the items from this supermarket and wouldn't be able to finish them anyway, why not let them eat more?
"Hey, little brother, you can't say that. How about this: you see that girl? You know her, and she can eat a bit more. But the other woman, whom you don't know, how should we deal with her? I hope you won't interfere." The middle-aged man continued.
As soon as he finished speaking, the woman eating trembled all over, dropping the bread from her hands. She turned to look at Wang Chao, tears welling up in her eyes. Wang Chao felt a pang of compassion and shook his head, saying, "How much can a woman eat?"
"Thank you," the woman whispered her gratitude.
"That's not right," the middle-aged man said as he pulled back his cigarette. "We know you're impressive, but you need to understand the situation here. Even without the guy lying on the ground, we have five people." The middle-aged man had regained his composure after the earlier incident; with five people on his side, why should he fear just one?
Wang Chao smiled slightly and replied, "So what if there are five of you?"
The middle-aged man snapped his cigarette in half and said, "Just like this broken cigarette in my hand." Chen Feifei and the woman sensed the tension escalating and quickly stepped aside to avoid getting caught in the conflict. Wang Chao remarked, "It seems you've forgotten what I said before. I mentioned that I don't care about killing."
"Is that so?" The middle-aged man replied. "I'd like to see how you plan to kill all five of us."
"Brothers! Charge!" The middle-aged man shouted as he was the first to rush forward. Wang Chao shook his head, thinking that humanity itself was the most terrifying thing in this world. He gritted his teeth; he had never killed even a chicken before, but now he was about to take a life. Strangely enough, when he thought about it, he felt calm. He truly was a cold-hearted person; for his own interests, he could do anything.
Then he saw the middle-aged man charging at him. "Come on!" Wang Chao shouted as he threw out his right fist. The middle-aged man clearly had no fighting skills at all; Wang Chao's punch landed squarely on his head without any resistance. The middle-aged man collapsed to the ground, feeling as if his head were splitting apart. Then he saw a foot coming down swiftly.
The onlookers watched in horror as the middle-aged man's head burst open like a watermelon dropped from a rooftop, blood splattering everywhere and staining their clothes!
"He's killed someone!" The first to scream was the woman in the back.
"Ah!" Chen Feifei also cried out.
"I told you, I don't mind killing." Wang Chao's expression was cold, but deep down, when he saw a person's head explode like a watermelon, he couldn't help but feel nauseous. He had killed many zombies, but taking the life of a living person still left an unresolved knot in his heart. However, at this moment, Wang Chao had to display a ruthless and cruel demeanor; only then could he truly intimidate the four people in front of him.
The four before him were already frozen in shock, their legs trembling uncontrollably. In an instant, this young man had used an extremely brutal method to kill a living human being. Such fear filled their hearts; this young man appeared like a demon emerging from hell.
"I said what I said," Wang Chao continued. "Do you understand?"
