The excitement in everyone's hearts was hard to contain as they made their way home, seemingly with the wind at their feet. Old Lei's words had ignited a fire in many who had been silent. However, Wang Chao was always a calm person; he understood the impact of Old Lei's speech. Yet, he was also considering spending some time in the military, as saving people was a noble reason, but more importantly, it was about resources. 0

Wang Chao's Spatial Ring was nearly full, and he wondered if it could be upgraded. 0

Upon returning home, he found Zhao Dong cleaning the house with Chen Feifei and Li Yunqi. When Zhao Dong saw Wang Chao enter, he said, "While you were away, we tidied up a bit. It may look simple, but we have everything we need." Wang Chao quickly expressed his gratitude and tossed the rice he was carrying onto their makeshift table. He then told Zhao Dong, "I’m joining the military tomorrow." 0

"Alright," Zhao Dong replied. "New recruits usually aren’t sent out on missions right away; you’ll probably be helping us build houses." Wang Chao knew that more and more people were arriving, and there weren't enough ready-made houses for everyone to stay in. The buildings were constructed by those inside working overtime, and Zhao Dong was one of them. 0

With that said, they exchanged no further words and went to bed for the night. The next morning arrived. 0

Wang Chao gathered at the large iron gate, noticing that Chen Feifei seemed to have another mission and wasn’t heading in the same direction as him. By the time Wang Chao arrived, those from yesterday had already lined up automatically, with a woman at the front. Wang Chao hurriedly joined them. Soon after, a soldier approached, saluted everyone, and introduced himself: "I am your squad leader; you can call me Wu Squad Leader." 0

A Military Jeep drove up as Wu Squad Leader announced, "Today's first mission is a five-kilometer run without load. Follow me!" With that, Wu Squad Leader took off running ahead. Seeing him lead the way spurred everyone to follow suit. There were arrows along the path, seemingly designed to prevent anyone from falling behind. Initially, it was manageable; however, after five minutes, the differences in stamina became apparent. 0

Out of the dozen or so people, only five could keep up with Wu Squad Leader. Yet he didn’t slow down; with the arrows guiding them, he wasn’t worried about anyone getting lost. He glanced back at the five remaining runners with an expression that warned them to be cautious. Sure enough, Wu Squad Leader immediately picked up speed. Wang Chao smiled inwardly; with his newfound mysterious power, this pace was nothing to him. 0

Ten minutes later, only Wang Chao and the lone woman remained behind Wu Squad Leader. 0

Wang Chao glanced at her; her face was slightly flushed and beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, but her breathing was steady and she showed no signs of fatigue. Could she also be an ability user? Wang Chao pondered. The woman looked at him with a hint of disdain on her face. "Is she trying to provoke me?" Wang Chao thought to himself. Just then, she suddenly accelerated and overtook Wu Squad Leader. Not one to back down, Wang Chao immediately sped up as well. 0

Wu Squad Leader was leading them along the path when he felt a gust of wind beside him; looking up in surprise, he saw that the woman had passed him. His face flushed red as he quickened his pace. At that moment, another rush of wind swept by—Wang Chao had also surged past him. Their speeds increased rapidly; even when Wu Squad Leader tried to sprint after them, it proved futile. 0

"Are these two even human?" Wu Squad Leader gasped as he stood there breathlessly murmuring to himself. 0

The two ran quickly, following the arrows, and soon reached their destination. Waiting at the finish line was another soldier who looked around at them before finally asking, "Where is Wu Squad Leader?" The woman replied, "She's behind us. She probably won't be here for a while. If there are any tasks, you can start without her." The soldier looked at the woman and after a long pause said, "Alright, this way!" 0

The two followed the soldier to a shelter and discovered it was an approximately one-hundred-meter shooting range. He handed them two guns. "These guns are loaded and the safety is off; just shoot." 0

Wang Chao had never touched a gun before and was now intently examining the submachine gun when he suddenly heard gunfire erupting nearby. 0

"Ten shots, 100 points!" an electronic synthesized voice announced. The woman glanced at Wang Chao, who awkwardly raised his gun. In truth, he would have preferred a dagger; as a child, he had practiced throwing knives at a tree outside the orphanage because he was obsessed with martial arts novels back then. But this gun? He had no idea how to use it. 0

Taking careful aim, Wang Chao fired shot after shot. 0

"Three shots, 17 points." 0

It was only after finishing that Wang Chao realized there were only ten bullets in the gun and he had only hit three times. Meanwhile, the woman next to him had achieved a perfect score, hitting all ten shots! 0

"Impressive!" the soldier beside them couldn't help but exclaim. 0

"Impressive!" Wang Chao silently echoed in his heart. 0

"Now, where do we go?" the woman asked. 0

"Walk that way; there's an arrow," the soldier replied. 0

"Okay!" she said. 0

Wang Chao thought to himself that this woman spoke little but acted decisively, without any hesitation. Especially with her level of strength, he couldn't help but marvel at the fact that there were always greater talents and stronger individuals in the world. 0

"What’s your name?" Wang Chao asked as he followed the woman. "I’m Wang Chao." 0

"Shen Zhiying," she replied. 0

"Shen Zhiying!" Wang Chao exclaimed. "What about Shen Zhitao?" 0

The woman suddenly turned her head to look at Wang Chao and asked seriously, "Have you seen my sister?" Wang Chao thought to himself that indeed, this woman was just as formidable, referring to her strength. However, the personalities of these sisters were completely different—one was quirky and playful, while the other was cold as ice. The world was truly full of wonders. 0

"She came with me, but it seems she was taken away directly by the military," Wang Chao said. 0

"Mm," Shen Zhiying responded and continued walking ahead. 0

Wang Chao shrugged helplessly and followed her onward. 0

In the office on the second floor. 0

"This little Ying really has inherited her father's personality," Old Lei remarked to a man in his thirties sitting nearby. The man's position seemed to be even higher than Old Lei's; he sat on the sofa sipping tea and said to Old Lei, "Yes, but what concerns me more is the person behind her." 0

"What was his name again?" Old Lei pondered for a moment before saying, "Wang Chao." 0
