Everything was happening too quickly; the other planes had no time to react. Just as a few aircraft turned around, one was already plummeting to the ground, engulfed in black smoke. The powerful explosion sent who knows how many Zombies flying, but at that moment, Wang Chao was blinded by rage. As soon as the plane hit the ground, he leaped again, targeting the captain's helicopter. 0

Wang Chao moved with incredible speed, like a shooting star. The captain could clearly see Wang Chao's strength; if Wang Chao landed a hit, he would meet the same fate as the previous plane—utterly obliterated. "Climb! Climb!" the captain shouted. The pilot obeyed, and the Armed Helicopter ascended like a snail compared to Wang Chao's speed, moving at a painfully slow pace. 0

In an instant, Wang Chao was in front of the helicopter. The pilot, experienced and quick-witted, managed to tilt the aircraft just in time to evade Wang Chao's massive hammer. Everyone on board held their breath; due to the proximity between Wang Chao and the helicopter, they dared not fire their weapons. They could only wait for Wang Chao to descend before unleashing their firepower. Just then, Wang Chao's arm transformed from a hammer into two Bone Knives, each about five feet long. He twisted his body mid-air, and the Bone Knives glided along with him. 0

The incredibly tough fuselage was sliced in half by Wang Chao's Bone Knives. No one had time to react; what appeared to be neither human nor Zombie was truly a monstrous being. Before anyone could comprehend what had happened, the helicopter split into two halves, and the captain inside was also torn apart without uttering a single word. 0

"Fire! Fire!" Upon seeing that their Armed Helicopter Squad had lost its captain, the remaining crew members were filled with rage. Without hesitation, gunfire erupted, accompanied by occasional missile strikes. It seemed these people were hell-bent on annihilating Wang Chao, even if it meant leveling the entire area! Wang Chao understood their intent and transformed his hands into shields to protect himself as he made his escape. 0

Although his mind was still clouded, his human instincts kicked in stronger than ever. He deliberately zigzagged between buildings, causing the aircraft's firepower to mostly hit the walls instead of him. The bullets aimed at Wang Chao were few and far between; as for the artillery shells, they either exploded a large group of Zombies into pieces or blasted numerous holes into various buildings. 0

Heading north at high speed, Wang Chao quickly dodged incoming fire when he heard a thunderous rumble. Looking closely, he saw a line of tanks approaching from the north—reinforcements had arrived! Huaxia never abandoned any of its citizens, but now Wang Chao wondered if he could still be considered one of them. If he had to be categorized at all, perhaps he could be seen as a monster of Huaxia. 0

The ongoing bombardment from the aircraft drew attention from ground troops. After communication between both parties, they realized that this creature—neither fully human nor Zombie—was an incredibly terrifying existence. Without hesitation, ground forces opened fire on Wang Chao; now he found himself trapped with enemies closing in from both sides and no chance of escape. Li Dewei, who had been rescued and was hiding inside a tank directing operations, caught sight of Wang Chao through an observation slit. 0

"That monster! Isn't that Wang Chao?" Li Dewei exclaimed as he watched Wang Chao's constantly shifting arms. 0

"You know him?" a nearby soldier asked. 0

"It turns out he's one of Huangfu Ling's subordinates! I don't know how he ended up like this; we need to open fire now!" Li Dewei shouted. He thought to himself that this was poetic justice—Wang Chao had once caused him great suffering and now faced his own downfall. "Let's kill this monster quickly," Li Dewei urged. 0

The soldier nodded in agreement. 0

Huangfu Ling was currently following Zhang Fusheng. It turned out that Zhang Fusheng had led the survivors northward, and just when he could no longer hold on, they finally encountered a rescue team, which saved them. However, from originally thousands of people, fewer than a thousand managed to escape, which was truly disheartening. As soon as Zhang Fusheng caught his breath, he rushed toward the neighborhood. 0

He knew that there were still dozens of people fighting fiercely here. Zhang Fusheng understood that even if he returned, he might not be able to save anyone. Yet, China never abandoned any of its citizens; how could Zhang Fusheng not return? Every time he heard Wang Chao's furious roar, he felt that if he didn't come back, he would never be able to sleep peacefully for the rest of his life. 0

Huangfu Ling's expression remained unchanged. Initially, Huangfu Ling hadn't even thought twice and had chosen to flee. Zhang Fusheng found such people most intolerable. However, along the way, Huangfu Ling had protected many civilians, leaving Zhang Fusheng puzzled about whether Huangfu Ling genuinely wanted to save people or was merely focused on escaping. Nonetheless, Zhang Fusheng didn't have time to ponder this now. 0

Upon arriving here, they heard the booming sounds of artillery fire. Zhang Fusheng and Huangfu Ling climbed onto a building to observe the battlefield in the distance. After watching for a while, both furrowed their brows. Zhang Fusheng said, "Isn't that Wang Chao?" Huangfu Ling replied, "That's right; it's Wang Chao. How did he end up like this?" Zhang Fusheng shook his head and remained silent. 0

Zhang Fusheng still vividly remembered Wang Chao's roar; otherwise, he wouldn't have chosen to come back, even though he understood that those who stayed behind were already doomed. 0

The tank shells seemed relentless as they pursued Wang Chao. Without hesitation, Zhang Fusheng leaped from the building. Huangfu Ling believed he wasn't yet at Zhang Fusheng's level and could only watch as Zhang Fusheng disappeared into the distance. In an instant, Zhang Fusheng arrived before the ground unit's commander. The commander recognized Zhang Fusheng and seemed unsurprised; it was clear he understood what Zhang represented. 0

"Order the tanks to cease fire," Zhang Fusheng said calmly as he looked at the commander. 0

The commander glanced at Zhang Fusheng and then at Wang Chao, who was under heavy fire. After a moment's hesitation, he ordered, "Cease fire." 0

The tanks halted without any hesitation. 0

Zhang Fusheng nodded and then said, "Thank you. However, this monster must be dealt with by me personally." 0
