Wang Chao's foot struck first, yet the One-Eyed Dragon did not dodge. Instead, he changed his fist's trajectory, attempting to take the kick head-on. In an instant, their fist and foot collided, creating a tremendous shockwave that left those nearby in awe. If any one of them had been hit by such a blow, they would surely have met a grim fate. Both fighters were pushed back by the force; Wang Chao stumbled two steps backward, while the One-Eyed Dragon found himself five meters away.
In terms of strength, the One-Eyed Dragon was no match for Wang Chao, especially when it came to hand-to-foot combat. Just as Wang Chao thought it was over, the One-Eyed Dragon charged at him with incredible speed, reappearing before him in the blink of an eye. Kicking and punching in rapid succession, the onlookers could hardly follow the movements. However, Wang Chao saw everything clearly. Having fought countless monsters before, he had encountered martial arts far stranger than those of the One-Eyed Dragon. At this level, he didn't even need to activate his Breathing Technique; he could handle it easily.
Sure enough, Wang Chao blocked another punch from the One-Eyed Dragon and followed up with a whip kick. The One-Eyed Dragon attempted to evade, but Wang Chao's kick landed squarely against the side of a Military Jeep, leaving a noticeable dent. The surrounding crowd gasped in shock and instinctively moved further away from the two fighters. Liu Jie, who had not witnessed Wang Chao's prowess during his battle with the Zombie Dog, now realized just how formidable he truly was.
The One-Eyed Dragon glanced at the dent on the Military Jeep, his eyes flashing with a sharp glint. He quickly executed a series of movements and charged at Wang Chao again. A sense of alarm shot through Wang Chao as he sensed that the One-Eyed Dragon had a strategy in mind. Indeed, every time Wang Chao struck him, the One-Eyed Dragon managed to evade at an awkward angle. Even when he couldn't avoid an attack entirely, he absorbed far less damage than what Wang Chao delivered.
Wang Chao furrowed his brow; it seemed that the One-Eyed Dragon indeed had his own set of techniques. Realizing this, Wang Chao stepped forward and threw a punch with all his might. The One-Eyed Dragon attempted to replicate this technique; it was an ancestral style he had inherited from a family steeped in martial arts. Growing up in such an environment and later serving in the military made him a skilled fighter capable of challenging someone like Wang Chao from Silver Mid-Tier!
"I can still dodge this punch!" thought the One-Eyed Dragon confidently.
Though this punch came at lightning speed and he couldn't completely evade it, he believed he could avoid most of Wang Chao's attacks. Just then, Wang Chao's fist connected with the One-Eyed Dragon's chest. The smile vanished from his face as an overwhelming force struck him down—one that he could not withstand. By the time everyone regained their senses, they found the One-Eyed Dragon lying several meters away.
"You are no match for me; take me to Commander Yu," Wang Chao's voice rang out clearly—though not loud, it was heard by all.
Naturally, it reached the ears of the One-Eyed Dragon as well. This area was suburban; only patches of ground were covered in concrete while most remained dusty earth. At that moment, amidst swirling dust and dirt, although they could not see him clearly, Wang Chao knew that this blow had sufficiently injured the One-Eyed Dragon. As they say, sheer strength can overcome skill; often, simplicity is the most powerful!
The guards stared at Wang Chao in disbelief, their mouths agape and speechless. Liu Jie stammered nervously, "That... that One-Eyed Dragon is Commander Yu's right-hand man. Is it really wise to do this?"
Wang Chao waved his hand dismissively to reassure Liu Jie: "Don't worry; he'll be fine—just needs a couple of days to recover." After all, Wang Chao had a mission; he wasn't here to kill the One-Eyed Dragon. If that were his intention, a single Bone Knife would have sufficed to pierce through him completely. Though Wang Chao understood that attacking Commander Yu would present significant obstacles later on, killing this man now would prevent him from reaching Commander Yu altogether.
As the dust settled, they saw the One-Eyed Dragon slowly rising from where he lay and making his way toward them at an agonizingly slow pace—slower than even a Zombie would move. This unusual behavior caused Wang Chao to frown; could it be that he was so severely impacted that he had given up on fighting? That seemed incredibly weak-minded to him!
However, as the Cyclops approached, Wang Chao increasingly felt that something was off. He noticed that the Cyclops's arms did not swing naturally as he walked; instead, they hung straight down at his sides. The figure kept his head lowered, obscuring his expression. As the distance closed—ten meters, eight meters, five meters—Wang Chao could not see his face, but he did see the Cyclops's mouth open, revealing teeth, with drool hanging at the corners.
"Damn it," Wang Chao muttered. "Has he gone brain-dead?"
When the Cyclops was just three meters away, he finally stopped and slowly lifted his head. Everyone was puzzled about what had happened to him and stared intently at the Cyclops. When he raised his head, they were all taken aback. The eye patch had fallen away, exposing both of his eyes.
One eye looked perfectly normal, but the other was entirely white, with bulging blood vessels that seemed to writhe like enormous worms, creating an endless sense of horror and disgust. The crowd was stunned, and Wang Chao weakly said, "Big brother, big brother, that's enough; please put on your eye patch! The people need your eye patch!"
But the Cyclops remained silent, merely gazing at everyone. Just when they were all bewildered, suddenly, the Cyclops closed his unblemished eye. Then the white eye's blood vessels began to writhe faster and faster! Suddenly, one of the blood vessels burst with a loud pop, spraying blood everywhere. When they looked back at that eye, it had turned blood red.
In an instant, everyone felt the aura emanating from the Cyclops—it was completely different from what Wang Chao had projected earlier. If Wang Chao's aura had been like that of a tiger—a majestic king of beasts—now the Cyclops exuded an aura akin to a venomous snake lurking in the shadows: insidious and lethal, as if the air itself were filled with poison.
Wang Chao waved his hand to signal Liu Jie to stand back. The situation had exceeded Wang Chao's expectations; it seemed this Cyclops was intent on a fight to the death!
