On that day, Wang Chao was still waking up when he was disturbed by a knock on the door. He opened it to find two scantily clad women bowing to him. "Commander Yu asked me to invite you to watch a show," one of them said. Wang Chao frowned, wondering what kind of show it could be. Although he was curious, he didn't ask any questions and simply followed the beautiful woman outside.
At the entrance of the villa, an Audi was parked. The woman opened the door for him, and Wang Chao nodded as he got in. She followed him and sat beside him.
As soon as she got in the car, she became restless, but Wang Chao chose to ignore it. Fortunately, after about twenty minutes of driving, they arrived at their destination. Reluctantly, she removed her hand from Wang Chao's body. He shook his head helplessly, pondering how many women in this Safe Zone had been trained by Commander Yu to behave like this. It was pitiful. As Wang Chao stepped out of the car, he noticed they were at one of the most remote locations in the Safe Zone. If it weren't for the car bringing him here, he would never have guessed there were buildings in this area.
From the outside, it was clear that this was a circular building with a single entrance. Two soldiers stood at the door; they seemed to know Wang Chao was coming and showed no unusual emotions upon seeing him. They merely stepped aside slightly to allow Wang Chao and the woman beside him to enter. Wang Chao said nothing and walked straight in. Once inside the passageway, he found himself in a spacious area where a circular space surrounded by iron cages lay ahead. There were seats arranged for an audience above; it appeared that this place wasn't built by Commander Yu but was an ancient site that had been modified by him.
Wang Chao furrowed his brow as he realized this place must have once been an arena for beast fights or something similar. He wondered what Commander Yu intended to do with such a venue. While contemplating this, he continued walking until he spotted Old Hao waiting for him nearby. Upon seeing Wang Chao arrive, Old Hao approached him as if greeting an old friend after many years apart and said, "Brother! Why did you come so late? The good show has already started!"
"What good show?" Wang Chao asked in confusion.
"Just follow me. You can't see from here; come up with me," Old Hao replied, pulling Wang Chao along as they ascended the stairs together. From a distance, Wang Chao could see Commander Yu surrounded by several beautiful women, with a one-eyed man standing behind him. Seeing Commander Yu's indulgent demeanor made Wang Chao think of those who were barely clothed and starving in the Safe Zone, igniting a surge of anger within him. However, he couldn't act impulsively; facing three people alone was impossible for him. He thought about whether he and Tang Feng and the Shen Sisters could take on these three.
To be honest, Wang Chao wasn't sure; Old Hao and the one-eyed man were both Silver Lower Tier while Tang Feng and Shen Zhiying were also at that level. He himself was Silver Mid-Tier, but Commander Yu was Silver Upper Tier. Even if Shen Zhitao joined them, her strength hadn't reached Silver level yet; adding another person wouldn't change much. Moreover, Commander Yu led a fifty-man army; if Wu Wan'er and others at Brass Mid-Tier tried to steal firearms, those weapons were all in Commander Yu's villa...
No matter how hard Wang Chao racked his brain, he couldn't come up with a way to win outright. Strength—if only his strength were strong enough! With such thoughts swirling in his mind, Wang Chao found himself standing before Commander Yu. Upon noticing Wang Chao's arrival, Commander Yu waved at him while one of the women beside him moved aside to offer her seat.
Wang Chao didn't hesitate and sat down next to Commander Yu while the woman who had been following him also took a seat beside him. Just as Wang Chao opened his mouth to speak, Commander Yu beat him to it: "This little girl is quite nice, isn't she?"
Wang Chao glanced over; Commander Yu's gaze lingered on the woman beside him. This time, he carefully examined her beauty and figure compared to the other women present—she stood out even more so than them all, especially since she wore no makeup and appeared incredibly pure; her earlier actions in the car seemed completely contradictory.
Wang Chao remarked, "She can be considered a rare beauty."
"Hahaha," Commander Yu laughed at Wang Chao's comment and replied, "I didn't expect your taste to be so refined! To be honest with you, I just found this girl outside the Safe Zone recently. Compared to other women in the Safe Zone, she's like heaven compared to earth! I haven't touched her even once; so here you go—she's yours now."
Wang Chao remained unmoved internally but put on a happy facade and said, "That's great! Thank you, Commander Yu! I will face any danger without hesitation!"
"Ha ha, Xiaoyun, from now on you should stick with Brother Wang Chao, haha, just watch the show," Commander Yu said, gesturing for everyone to look into the iron cage. Wang Chao had been so engrossed in the conversation that he hadn't noticed what was happening below until he heard Commander Yu's words. He leaned over to see inside the cage, where a Mourning Lion and several Zombie Dogs were quietly facing off, not making a sound at all, which is why Wang Chao hadn’t paid attention earlier.
"Damn it, how long has it been? Why aren't they moving!" Commander Yu exclaimed as he popped a grape into his mouth, complaining.
Just as Commander Yu finished speaking, the Mourning Lion and six Zombie Dogs sprang into action simultaneously. The Mourning Lion let out a thunderous roar and charged straight at one of the Zombie Dogs. Its fangs bared, the Zombie Dog tried to dodge but to no avail; the Mourning Lion sank its teeth into its neck and tore it apart, causing a head to drop to the ground.
The remaining Zombie Dogs pounced onto the Mourning Lion's back at that moment. The Mourning Lion twisted and turned, shaking off several of them that fell to the ground. It then lunged forward, ignoring the blood pouring from its back, and bit down on another Zombie Dog's neck, killing it instantly. Truly deserving of its title as king of beasts, despite their numbers, the five or six Zombie Dogs were no match for the Mourning Lion.
In less than a minute, all six Zombie Dogs lay dead at the feet of the Mourning Lion. It seemed not yet satisfied; it began to viciously tear into one of the Zombie Dogs until it was nothing but a pile of bloody flesh.
"Impressive! This Mourning Lion is quite formidable!" Wang Chao remarked, feigning a sense of lingering excitement.
"This is nothing; what you saw this morning was just ordinary. In the afternoon, I'll show you something even better!" Commander Yu laughed heartily and added, "Come with me this afternoon."
