The situation was urgent, and Wang Chao had no time to say much. In this brief moment, the Zombie Squad had advanced at least a hundred meters. From atop the high wall, visibility was already extensive, and it truly felt as if the Zombies were right beneath his eyes. After the Big-Mouth Zombies sprayed a round of Mucus, they fell silent, seemingly having exhausted their supply. 0

Gunfire continued unabated, and bullets were strewn across the mobile platform at Wang Chao's feet, still radiating heat, a testament to how little time had passed. "There's something unusual in the east!" several soldiers shouted. Wang Chao turned to look and saw that a large area to the east had been divided. Compared to the densely packed Zombie Tide, this area seemed sparsely populated—no, it was vast with few Zombies. 0

Rows of Zombies came to a halt, standing like humans in formation. Submachine guns swept across them, taking down many, but immediately more Zombies filled in the gaps. Among them, people seemed to spot Zombie Dogs, each about three to four meters in size, comparable to Little Wolf. However, Little Wolf was only a few months old; who knew how large it would grow when fully matured? 0

A bizarre scene unfolded: beside each Zombie stood a Zombie Dog—there were at least a hundred of them. Then, with a roar from one of the Zombies, they mounted their Zombie Dogs and charged toward the Safe Zone at an astonishing speed. "What the hell do these Zombies want?" Liu Jie shouted at that moment. "Open fire! Quickly!" 0

But there were only about a hundred people on the wall; they were stretched thin and could only manage the eastern front while neglecting the west. Everyone was blinded by rage as they looked out at what resembled hell—a landscape of blood, severed limbs, and rotting flesh; corpses piled upon corpses. In many places, bodies had been crushed into pulp, smeared across the road until the original color of the land was unrecognizable. The power of previous explosions had stained the Safe Zone red. 0

They pulled triggers repeatedly; everyone felt their hands moving as if they were no longer in control but had become machines that only knew how to fire and reload. Yet no one dared to slack off. In the distance, Zombies riding Zombie Dogs moved swiftly. Those struck by bullets fell from their mounts before hitting the ground only to be crushed by the iron hooves of following Zombie Dogs! Brain matter and bone splinters exploded everywhere; wherever those iron hooves landed left behind gruesome marks. 0

Soon enough, hundreds of Zombies riding Zombie Dogs surged to the forefront. "Concentrate fire! Take out those riding Zombie Dogs first!" Liu Jie shouted. Guns aimed at the Zombie Dogs unleashed a torrent of firepower, knocking down one Zombie after another. Many exclaimed, "These are the ones that spray Mucus!" Wang Chao looked over and indeed saw that those blasted Zombies erupted with clouds of Mucus from within. 0

The Mucus indiscriminately splattered onto other Zombies and Zombie Dogs alike. Immediately, those affected began to corrode; many Zombie Dogs suffered damage to their legs but continued running forward with limping strides as if they felt no pain—not just as if; these Zombies and Zombie Dogs lacked any sense of pain altogether. They would not rest until they achieved their goal! 0

Before reaching the gate, dozens of those riding Zombies had already been blown apart! Unaffected by this chaos, they maintained their speed. At this rate, these Zombie Dogs would surely crash into the walls and iron gates with tremendous force—just like those earlier Zombie Dogs that had died crashing against them; their corpses already littered in heaps at the wall's base. 0

"These Zombie Dogs seem intent on suicide; they're marching to their deaths!" many shouted in disbelief. "Haha! No need to waste bullets!" 0

However, Wang Chao felt puzzled. He had always believed that Zombies lacked intelligence, but now various signs indicated otherwise; these Zombies could not possibly be entirely devoid of cunning. While they might not possess human-like reasoning, they surely had instincts for self-preservation—especially evolved ones. The Zombie Dogs could not be charging toward death without reason; there must be some underlying scheme! 0

Before Wang Chao could voice his thoughts, he heard a series of loud thuds—the unmistakable sound of Zombie Dogs colliding with walls. Peering through the wire mesh below, he saw those Zombie Dogs charging without hesitation like a Suicide Squad crashing into walls and gates, bursting into clouds of blood before collapsing lifelessly onto the ground. 0

Due to the immense inertia, the Zombies on the Zombie Dogs were propelled off their backs like missiles. The Zombies crashed into the higher wall, their bodies shattering upon impact, leaving splatters of Mucus all over the surface. The force caused the wall of corpses to roll and rise nearly seven or eight meters high, with about ten bodies attempting to flip over. 0

Wang Chao gritted his teeth and leaped up, drawing the Panlong Blade from his back. He slashed through the air in front of him, cutting the barbed wire cleanly in half. The severed wire tumbled down, colliding with the corpses that were rolling upward due to inertia, entangling them as they fell. Mucus streamed down the wall, but thankfully, it did not splatter inside. 0

"They're committing suicide to launch those Mucus Zombies up here... this..." one of the Guards said, at a loss for words. It was truly terrifying; the most frightening enemies are those who would risk their lives to take yours. These Zombies clearly belonged to that category. If Wang Chao hadn't acted decisively, those corpses would have rolled up, splattering Mucus everywhere, and who knows how many warriors would have been sacrificed... 0

"Don't let them come up! We must not let them come up!" Wang Chao shouted. 0

Everyone understood that if these Mucus-spewing Zombies managed to reach them, once their firepower ceased, more Zombies would flood into the Safe Zone. The situation would become even more critical, especially since among the vast horde of Zombies were towering Giant Zombies standing seven or eight meters tall. Ordinary bullets would barely tickle them; if not for their slow speed, they would have already charged in and killed everyone present! 0

"Brothers, fire! We absolutely cannot let them come up!" 0
