As they traversed the streets, the once bustling city had now become a desolate ruin. Countless skyscrapers lay in ruins, and the wild grass grew taller than a person. Even the hard asphalt roads were overrun with various weeds. It seemed that nature was reclaiming its dominion over the planet in its own way. The two of them sat atop Little Wolf, continuing their journey forward.
Little Grudge soared high above like a dark cloud, suddenly swooping down to scatter around Wang Chao and Shen Zhitao. "There are people ahead roasting something to eat; Shui Yun'er is inside! But from what I see, her attire is disheveled, and I'm afraid she has already been..." Upon hearing this, Wang Chao was taken aback but quickly waved his hand, saying, "This isn't the time for that; we need to take action!"
Little Grudge nodded and continued to fly high above.
The two descended from Little Wolf and walked forward. After about twenty minutes, they spotted a group of people gathered around a fire, cooking something. From a distance, they could see Shui Yun'er sitting quietly to the side, not speaking or eating. Her clothes were tattered, and her expression was vacant. Wang Chao glanced at her and immediately understood everything; they had arrived too late—Shui Yun'er had already been violated...
"Damn it!" Wang Chao cursed under his breath. "Look at that old bastard Huangfu Yan; his men are nothing but trouble!"
Wang Chao's appearance caught the attention of Second Brother and his gang, but they remained unfazed. Wang Chao continued at his previous pace, and the distance between the two groups was now less than a hundred meters. He overheard one of Second Brother's men say, "Second Brother, look! That guy has a girl with him and even leads a wolf..."
Before Second Brother could respond, another voice chimed in, "That girl is quite beautiful. Last night she was so stubborn; although we eventually got her, it wasn't satisfying at all. Haha! Today, let's see how it feels with two of them!"
Though their voices were low, the conversation reached Wang Chao and Shen Zhitao's ears intermittently. Shen Zhitao's face flushed upon hearing this, while Wang Chao thought to himself, what are you pretending for? You were so open back in Yucheng; why have you become so demure now that you're by my side?
"Viper, come with me; just two Golden Levels—no need for the brothers to intervene!" said a man of Golden Intermediate level.
Viper patted him on the shoulder and replied, "Modu, my aphrodisiac is almost ready!"
The two laughed heartily as they approached Wang Chao and Shen Zhitao. One of them spoke up, "Hey there, little lady! Where are you headed? Want to have some fun with us? Following him won't lead anywhere; he's weak. Look at our Second Brother and Fang Qian—they're both Platinum Level! Protecting you is no problem at all. Plus, we know how to please!"
As he spoke, Modu pointed toward Second Brother and Fang Qian.
Everyone's gaze was fixed on Fang Qian and Second Brother, but at that moment, an arrow suddenly shot out, appearing in front of Fang Qian in an instant. The arrow came without a trace or sound, indicating that it had already broken the sound barrier! At that moment, Wang Chao also moved! He drew the Panlong Blade and struck directly, while Modu was still stunned in shock.
With one swift strike, he severed Modu's head!
"Small..." Fang Qian, worthy of being a Platinum Level individual, managed to block the incoming arrow with both arms at his forehead. The Bone Arrow pierced through his arms, the tip embedding itself in his forehead, yet it was not fatal. Just as he shattered the arrowhead, a bullet almost simultaneously struck him directly in the forehead. Fang Qian was dead, but his body remained standing; everything happened too quickly!
In another part of the scene, Little Grudge moved almost simultaneously with Wang Chao. She suddenly dashed forward and enveloped the still-dazed Shui Yun'er, disregarding her struggles and flying away with her. At that moment, Second Brother reacted, raising the Long Halberd beside him for a thrust!
Little Grudge's heart sank as she saw the halberd aimed at Shui Yun'er. Just then, a blade intercepted the path of the Long Halberd.
It was the Panlong Blade!
After decapitating Modu, Wang Chao did not pause for a moment and ignored Viper beside him. It turned out to be a wise move; if he had delayed even a second longer, Shui Yun'er would have been pierced through by the Long Halberd!
Though the description was intricate, it all unfolded within mere seconds.
"Who are you?" Second Brother asked sharply, frowning.
Wang Chao smiled lightly, exerting pressure on the Panlong Blade as he replied, "What do you think?"
At that moment, Fang Qian's standing corpse finally could no longer withstand the force and fell heavily to the ground with a thud, stirring up clouds of dust from the surface.
"You are Wang Chao!" Second Brother finally recognized him. Wang Chao's appearance had been firmly etched in the minds of Elite Eighteen. However, no one had expected that in just a moment of confusion, they would fail to recognize Wang Chao. This was partly due to Wang Chao's altered genes causing slight changes in his appearance and partly because no one could have imagined that their elusive target would appear right before them!
Upon seeing Wang Chao, both men met their demise, one of whom was the Platinum Level Fang Qian! How could this not infuriate Second Brother?
"Today is your day of reckoning!" Second Brother declared.
The two clashed again but were unable to gain the upper hand, forcing them to separate once more. Meanwhile, Little Wolf and Shen Zhitao were fiercely battling Viper, while Tang Feng and Da Qiang had also arrived to confront the remaining opponent. Aside from Wang Chao's situation, the rest were clearly dominating, and it wouldn't be long before they resolved the matter with those two. Seeing this, Second Brother felt a surge of urgency; gripping his Long Halberd tightly, he prepared to join the fray.
Wang Chao's Panlong Blade once again blocked Second Brother's Long Halberd. "Your opponent is me; why interfere in someone else's battle?" he said.
Second Brother gripped the halberd firmly and thrust it down forcefully. "Since you seek death, I shall grant it to you!" With that, he swung the Long Halberd with ferocity. Compared to Wang Chao's Panlong Blade, it appeared too short to reach him. However, it was not Wang Chao who was anxious at that moment; it was Second Brother. As long as he could buy time, sooner or later, Second Brother would face a situation of one against five. At that point, he would have no place to bury his body!
Just then, Second Brother's expression suddenly changed!
