A group of people surrounded the circular city, moving forward to charge out. Wang Chao faced dozens of people who had previously guarded the truck. These individuals were not weak; each had precise marksmanship and provided adequate cover. If it weren't for Wang Chao using his hands as a shield to block most of the bullets, the members of the Assault Team behind him would have already become corpses. Wang Chao knew that this situation couldn't continue, so he gritted his teeth, stomped his foot, activated the Breathing Technique, and charged out. 0

With a Panlong Blade in hand, he sliced through the air as if cutting vegetables, directly severing both the wall and the people hiding behind it in half. The speed was astonishing; in a flash, over a dozen people fell under Wang Chao's blade. Those who witnessed Wang Chao's prowess began to retreat while fighting, waiting for their main force to arrive and encircle these few individuals. By then, they would have no chance of escape. 0

"Captain, you take Wang Xiaochuan and run!" one team member shouted. "Don't worry about us; we will only drag you down!" 0

Wang Chao swung his Panlong Blade in front of him, creating a semicircle as several trucks were cut apart before him. The power of the Panlong Blade was evident. Wang Chao didn't dare look back and said, "We are an Assault Team; don't say such things. Stick close to me, and I'll create an opening for you!" 0

"Okay!" everyone responded. However, hearing their voices made Wang Chao's heart sink; the sound was growing fainter. Just moments ago, there were six of them, but now it seemed there were only three left. Wang Xiaochuan said, "It's all because of me; otherwise, we wouldn't have lost so many brothers." 0

As they spoke, they heard shouts from the Thunder Strike Team behind them. Wang Chao felt a surge of hope and shouted, "Hold on a little longer; our brothers are coming to rescue us!" Yet, despite his words, it was not the Thunder Strike Team that arrived first but the Ganzhou Soldiers. Hundreds surrounded them while firing their weapons, and dozens of soldiers in front had already cut off their escape route. 0

"Let's go; stay hidden!" Wang Chao commanded. As he spoke, he dashed toward the middle of the trucks where soldiers were concealed and firing. To their surprise, Wang Chao charged right at them alone. Although these soldiers were special forces, facing someone at Wang Chao's Platinum Tier level was futile. In a moment of urgency, Wang Chao caught sight of bags of rice on one of the trucks. 0

"Damn it! You just happened to run into me!" Wang Chao thought with excitement. Since reaching Platinum Tier, his Spatial Ring had ample space—enough for an entire room—and now was perfect for storing these supplies. With a thought and a movement of his skin, the rice from the truck was transferred into his Spatial Ring. Fortunately, the bags were covered; otherwise, if Wang Xiaochuan and the others saw this, they might think he had encountered a ghost. 0

The three hid behind the truck, temporarily avoiding encirclement. Wang Chao set Wang Xiaochuan down and said to them, "Now that we're here, consider it temporary safety. Don't go outside; that's an order! If anyone disobeys again, I will expel you from the Assault Team!" With that said, Wang Chao charged out alone. Being solo made things much easier for him as he moved along the truck, slaying Ganzhou Soldiers while collecting more food into his Spatial Ring. 0

In the end, even his Spatial Ring could no longer hold all this food. However, Wang Chao didn't mind; what remained wouldn't be enough to sustain Huangfu Yan's army anyway. As this thought crossed his mind, an idea suddenly struck him—but now wasn't the time for deep contemplation. After finishing everything quickly, Wang Chao hurried back to regroup with the main force. 0

He could only hear distant shouts but couldn't see what was happening due to the distance. However, he could vaguely tell that the Ganzhou army had split into two parts: one part was engaged in fierce combat with a large number of Assault Team members while another part continued to converge toward Wang Chao's location. The common wisdom of targeting key figures first was known to everyone. 0

Wang Chao spotted an officer directing troops from afar—not from this unit's commander but someone with considerable rank nonetheless. A smile crept onto his lips as both hands transformed into shields before him. Then he sprinted forward at full speed like a locomotive charging ahead. 0

Ordinary bullets could never penetrate Wang Chao's shield, and with his incredible speed, he dashed far ahead before those behind him even realized they needed to shoot. As he ran deeper into the fray, the situation ahead became clearer. The Assault Team had already infiltrated the area, and bodies were strewn everywhere; many were injured. Wang Chao understood that the Assault Team members had fought fiercely to break in. 0

Otherwise, given the Assault Team's capabilities, such casualties would not have occurred against these troops. 0

Wang Chao knew that to win a battle where a few faced many, they first needed to eliminate their commander. Now in the midst of the crowd, the remaining Ganzhou Soldiers hesitated to fire; they were too close to their commanding officer. Any friendly fire would be unacceptable, and this was precisely the situation Wang Chao wanted. Without further ado, he wielded his One-Eyed Dragon blade and swiftly severed the head of one of the officers. 0

"Protect Director Di! Do not let him come over! Fire! Fire!" The officers shouted in panic as they saw Wang Chao charging toward them. At that moment, Wang Chao noticed an older officer surrounded by others—this was the one who had been giving orders earlier, clearly the highest-ranking officer in this unit. It was also evident that these soldiers were not in standard military uniforms; otherwise, Wang Chao would have recognized them immediately. 0

The officers understood that if Wang Chao got any closer, Director Di would surely die. They opened fire without regard for their fellow soldiers nearby. A cold smile crept across Wang Chao's face as he swung his Panlong Blade, and several heads fell in an instant. In a heartbeat, the blade was poised above Director Di's head. 0

"Don't move!" Wang Chao commanded. "If anyone makes another move, this Director Di's head will hit the ground!" 0

Wang Chao shouted with all his might, his voice booming like thunder among the thousand-strong troops. Everyone turned to see Wang Chao with his Panlong Blade resting on Director Di's head. Instantly, they froze. Yet still, many were eager to shoot in a desperate attempt to save Director Di. 0

At that moment, Wang Chao swept his Panlong Blade backward through the air, and a powerful gust of wind severed a soldier who had aimed to fire in two. 0

"Or perhaps you simply don't care about Director Di's life?" Wang Chao asked again. 0
