Seeing Shen Zhitao escape to the deck, Wang Chao finally felt a slight sense of relief. However, before Wang Chao could say anything further, the ship began to capsize, flipping completely over. In an instant, both Wang Chao and Shen Zhitao fell into the water. At that moment, they had no time to think about anything else; they had to swim desperately to get out. If they were trapped under the overturned hull at the bottom of the river, escaping would be nearly impossible. 0

Despite their determination, the Flowerhorn behind them was not going to let them escape so easily. Turning around, Wang Chao saw the menacing face of the Flowerhorn. Earlier, on the deck, he could only make out its rough shape due to the lighting, but now it was horrifyingly clear underwater. The Flowerhorn's mouth opened and closed like a gaping black hole, and Wang Chao felt the water around him being pulled backward. 0

It seemed capable of swallowing a person whole without any trouble. Although both of them were powerful, underwater was a realm dominated by fish, especially one as aggressive and massive as this Flowerhorn, which was over ten meters long. In the blink of an eye, it charged toward them, ready to devour Wang Chao. 0

Realizing the danger, Wang Chao quickly pulled out his Submachine Gun from his Spatial Ring while signaling Shen Zhitao to swim ahead. The fully mechanical Submachine Gun still functioned well underwater and was close enough to the Flowerhorn that he fired directly into its mouth. Some bullets entered its belly while others struck its upper and lower jaws, causing the Flowerhorn to writhe in pain and swim even faster toward him. Seeing this, Wang Chao also accelerated his pace, pointing the gun backward and pulling the trigger without caring whether he hit the Flowerhorn or not. 0

At the same time, he waved frantically at Shen Zhitao and swam in the opposite direction. The Flowerhorn was so focused on Wang Chao's distraction that it ignored Shen Zhitao's escape. With a quarter of the distance left to shore, Wang Chao knew that Shen Zhitao would surely make it across with her strength. 0

Meanwhile, Wang Chao was being closely pursued by the monstrous fish. He could feel the water currents stirred up by the Flowerhorn's breath behind him; he knew it was right at his heels. If he continued swimming forward now, he would undoubtedly end up as its meal. Gritting his teeth, Wang Chao executed a swift turn in the water. 0

As he flipped around, a Panlong Blade appeared in his hand. Now facing the Flowerhorn head-on, Wang Chao startled it with his sudden movement. But in an instant, the Flowerhorn lunged at him again. With little leverage underwater, Wang Chao summoned all his strength to swing the Panlong Blade. 0

The creature had no idea what weapon Wang Chao wielded and charged straight at him. In that moment, Wang Chao thrust the Panlong Blade forward just as the Flowerhorn reached him. The blade pierced through its mouth with a slight curve upward and drove into its upper jaw before continuing into its skull. At that moment, even underwater, Wang Chao felt a significantly stronger resistance against his blade. 0

He paused for a moment but quickly realized what was happening: his Panlong Blade had penetrated deep into the Flowerhorn's mouth and struck against its prominent skull. If he applied more force, it could potentially pierce through to its brain. Wang Chao remembered reading in a book during high school that fish have a brain divided into five parts; although they lack intelligence, these parts control bodily functions. 0

Sometimes fish can still move even when their insides are removed; it's merely an automatic response from their nervous system. Wang Chao understood that if he could damage its brain, even if he couldn't kill it outright, he would have enough time to escape. The Flowerhorn reacted violently as it felt the blade inside its skull, thrashing about in an attempt to shake off the Panlong Blade. 0

Wang Chao gripped the handle of the Panlong Blade tightly, but the immense force caused his body to sway from side to side. Underwater, Wang Chao's diamond-level strength was significantly diminished; in fact, if it weren't for his diamond-level abilities, an ordinary person would have suffocated or drowned long ago after being submerged for such a duration. Suddenly, the Flowerhorn twisted its body violently, and in that moment, Wang Chao lost his grip on the Panlong Blade. 0

However, the Panlong Blade had embedded itself deeply, and the Flowerhorn couldn't shake it off easily. After struggling a few times, it seemed to realize it was stuck and angrily charged at Wang Chao once more. Wang Chao quickly pulled out two daggers from his Spatial Ring to confront it, but the daggers were nowhere near as sharp or sturdy as the Panlong Blade. When they struck the Flowerhorn's head, they snapped in half. 0

With both daggers broken, the Flowerhorn surged forward. At this point, Wang Chao had no way to evade; the Flowerhorn's sharp teeth were already in front of him. He hastily conjured a shield just as the Flowerhorn bit down on it, embedding its teeth deep into the shield. The Flowerhorn then began thrashing about, seemingly intent on tearing Wang Chao's shield apart. 0

Wang Chao knew that if he remained trapped underwater, he would eventually drown from lack of air. Moreover, he couldn't possibly drag this massive Flowerhorn to the surface. Realizing that every moment spent hesitating increased his danger, he made a bold decision and bit down hard on the raised skull of the Flowerhorn. 0

The scene was indeed bizarre; underwater, a man and a fish were locked in a fierce struggle, rolling and biting at each other. At that moment, as Wang Chao attempted to bite the fish, he swallowed a significant amount of river water. His eyes reddened with fury as he disregarded everything else and sank his teeth into the fish's head. The incredibly hard skull of the Flowerhorn—capable of breaking steel daggers—produced a cracking sound. 0

To his astonishment, Wang Chao managed to crack the Flowerhorn's skull! 0

Blood gushed out in torrents, instantly staining the river water red with both Flowerhorn's blood and his own. 0

Continuing to bite down fiercely, Wang Chao lost track of how many fragments of bone he had torn away. In a chaotic frenzy, he once again found the handle of the Panlong Blade. With all his might, he pushed it forward; the Flowerhorn's skull shattered under his assault. The blade plunged directly into its brain while Wang Chao continued to gnaw at it. Mixed with river water, brain matter flowed into Wang Chao's stomach and lungs. 0

Clearly, this Flowerhorn was teetering on the brink of death. 0
