Wang Chao furrowed his brow upon hearing this. He certainly knew that the Black-Clad Society was coming for him. Beside him, Li Kai was already trembling. Although Wang Chao had shattered the undefeated reputation of the Black Clothes Society, the remnants of fear still loomed large over Li Kai. Wang Chao gently patted Li Kai's shoulder and whispered, "Don't be afraid."
At that moment, a woman entered from outside. The Female Leader stood up hurriedly and asked, "What do they want? We have no grievances with the Black-Clad Society, nor do we have any trade relations. Have they said anything?"
The woman replied, "They haven't said anything specific; they just want you to come out!"
"Want me to go out?" the Female Leader asked in confusion.
"Yes!" the woman confirmed.
The Female Leader nodded and said, "Something significant must have happened; otherwise, the Black-Clad Society wouldn't come to our Zhonghu Safety Zone. Also, how many of them came, and who is leading them? Do you know?"
"About a hundred members of the Black Clothes Society came, and the one at the forefront is their Vice President!" The woman's tone seemed somewhat panicked; it was clear that the title of Vice President of the Black Cloak Society had a profound impact on her.
"What?" the Female Leader exclaimed. "The Vice President of the Black Clothes Society is here! Gather all Squads at the entrance immediately. I need to see what is going on!" With that, she hurriedly left with her female guards, leaving only Wang Chao and Li Kai behind.
Now, only Wang Chao and Li Kai remained in the building. Wang Chao shook his head helplessly and said, "I didn't expect the Black Clothes Society to arrive so quickly. We just returned to the Safe Zone not long ago, and they've already made it here. It seems their influence is indeed considerable; their words were not empty!"
Li Kai was sweating profusely. He had overheard the earlier conversation with the leader; it was indeed the Vice President of the Black Clothes Society who had come. Feeling somewhat guilty, he turned to Wang Chao and said, "This is serious. Previously, we offended the Black-Clad Society by sending a few Squads after them, but now their Vice President has come directly. I've heard that his strength is already at Platinum Tier! Just like our leader's strength!"
"Vice President?" Wang Chao murmured. "Do you know who their leader is?"
Li Kai shook his head and replied, "The leader of the Black Clothes Society is the head of the black market, overseeing everything related to it and commanding all forces of the Black Clothes Society. He has always been mysterious; even this Vice President is someone I’ve never seen in our Zhonghu Safe Zone before. No one knows if their leader is male or female, or what they look like—height and weight are all unknown! Brother Wang, now that even the Vice President of the Black Clothes Society has come here, what should we do?"
Wang Chao sighed and then said to Li Kai, "Since this has already happened, there's no point in retreating or being afraid. Let's go out and take a look. This mess is my doing, so when the time comes, you and the other brothers can just pretend you don't know me. I doubt the Black-Clad Society will make a move against you."
"How can we do that!" Li Kai replied. "If we act like that, it would be just like what happened at the supermarket. We've already been humiliated once; we don't want to be humiliated a second time."
Wang Chao smiled and led Li Kai outside.
They arrived at the entrance of the Safe Zone, where they saw a crowd of residents gathered around. Most of them were there to watch the spectacle. Outside, a hundred people dressed in black and wearing masks stood straight in a row, exuding an imposing presence. The leader among them wore a mask different from the others; while the others had white masks, his was black, clearly identifying him as the Vice President of the Black Cloak Society.
At that moment, the Female Leader also stepped out with her guards.
"May I ask what brings the Vice President of the Black Cloak Society to our Zhonghu Safety Zone?" the Female Leader nodded toward the Vice President.
The Vice President replied coolly, "Haha, Yuan Min, I never expected to come to your Zhonghu Safety Zone. Your Safe Zone is quite interesting indeed. I'll get straight to the point; you should know our Black Clothes Society's principle: anyone who dares offend the Black-Clad Society will face dire consequences. However, some people in your Zhonghu Safety Zone are quite unruly."
Yuan Min was puzzled and asked the Vice President, "What exactly do you mean?"
"Since you're asking, I won't waste any more words!" Suddenly, the Vice President's tone turned icy as if his words were forced out: "Someone from your Safe Zone has offended us at the Black-Clad Society. I advise you to hand these individuals over; otherwise, you should know our methods. The only reason I haven't acted yet is to give you this opportunity to surrender them!"
Wang Chao and Li Kai were squeezed at the door, listening intently to the Vice President's words.
"It seems that the Black-Clad Society really holds grudges; they seem to want more than just my head!" Wang Chao sighed and said. "But don't worry; as long as I'm here, they can't do anything to you. Li Kai, gather our brothers. In life and work, we must be bold and take responsibility. Do you understand?" Hearing Wang Chao's relaxed demeanor somehow calmed Li Kai's anxiety, and he nodded in agreement.
"Oh?" Yuan Min said. "I wonder how our Zhonghu Safety Zone has offended the Black-Clad Society."
"It seems you intend to play dumb?" the Vice President said. "As long as someone has harmed the Black-Clad Society, we will take his life. Not to mention that nine of our brothers have been killed; this debt must be settled!"
As soon as the Vice President's words were spoken, the people around gasped in shock. Someone from the Zhonghu Safety Zone had actually killed nine members of the Black Clothes Society. Did they not want to live anymore? Even if they didn't care for their own lives, why drag the entire Zhonghu Safety Zone into this? The crowd began to murmur among themselves, fully aware of the Black Clothes Society's rules. This was trouble for the Zhonghu Safety Zone!
"I truly don't know anything about this!" Yuan Min replied.
The Vice President sighed and said, "I don't want to waste any more time. Hand over Wang Chao, or the Black Clothes Society will wash the Safe Zone in blood!"
Yuan Min pondered for a moment. He had never heard of anyone named Wang Chao who could kill nine members of the Black Clothes Society; such a person would surely be powerful enough to rival him. Yet, there was no one like that in the Zhonghu Safety Zone. Was the Black-Clad Society deliberately looking for trouble? But what could their motive be?
"We do not have such a person in our Safe Zone!" Yuan Min declared firmly.
