The three of them exited the warehouse, and Aikun'er kept insisting on seeing a Zombie. However, all the Zombies here had already been cleared out by the Black Clothes Society's members. Wang Chao thought to himself that it had become a luxury just to see a Zombie. He glanced back but saw no members of the Black Clothes Society chasing after them; it seemed that Aivina had tacitly accepted this situation for now.
However, thinking about it made Wang Chao feel a sense of quiet helplessness. How could the leader of the Black Clothes Society be from the Ai Family? The relationship between the Ai Family, Wu Family, and Zhang Family was as close as that of family. Even if Wang Chao wanted to take action against the Ai Family, he would have to consider Zhang Fusheng's face. But when it came to the Ai Family's hold over the Zhang Family's ring, it was something they absolutely needed to reclaim.
Wang Chao wasn't surprised by this; it was like a relative's wealth falling into the hands of a stranger—no one could accept that, especially since this wealth could turn things upside down. Just considering the thirty or so Platinum Tier individuals in Tibet was already a significant fortune; there were fewer than a hundred Platinum Tier experts in Huaxia! And this unit had thirty such formidable individuals. Not to mention the scattered members of the Zhang Family everywhere, Wang Chao couldn't help but sigh as he looked at the ring in his hand.
He had no idea how this matter would eventually resolve.
"Let's go! I'll take you to see a Zombie!" As he spoke, Wang Chao led Yuan Min and Aikun'er toward the Zhonghu Safety Zone. Although Aikun'er didn't have much combat experience, her strength was evident, so she kept up a decent pace. After running for a while, they suddenly heard cries coming from a makeshift shelter in the distance.
The three exchanged glances, and Aikun'er said, "Brother Wang Chao, it sounds like something is happening over there. Should we go check it out?"
Wang Chao nodded and replied, "Let's go take a look. Yuan Min, keep an eye on Aikun'er!"
They quickened their pace toward the source of the noise. The closer they got, the louder the cries became; it was a woman's voice accompanied by several men's lewd laughter. Upon hearing this, Wang Chao had an inkling of what was happening. He intended to tell Yuan Min to wait outside with Aikun'er but hadn't spoken yet when they arrived at the front of the shelter.
The shelter was hastily constructed with holes in the door; while it could block people from entering, it allowed them to see inside clearly. They saw a woman inside whose clothes had been torn off, surrounded by five naked men. Wang Chao's brows furrowed in anger; he felt an uncontrollable rage rising within him and wished he could tear these men apart.
"Ah!" Aikun'er cried out, and Yuan Min had already drawn her Sleeve Blade.
Wang Chao kicked down the dilapidated wooden door with force and charged inside. The people inside were startled by his sudden entrance and turned to look at him. The woman on the bed was clearly violated multiple times. Seeing Wang Chao, those men still had smug grins on their faces as one of them said, "Hey there, little brother! Why so impatient? We all had our fun with her today; now it's your turn!"
Wang Chao couldn't believe that these men dared to speak so shamelessly and even smiled at him.
"Alright!" Wang Chao smiled, drawing out the Bone Knife. Before the others could react, he charged forward. With his left hand, he grabbed a few pieces of clothing nearby and covered the woman with them. Then, he unleashed a brutal attack. The assailants were all at the Golden Level and stood no chance against Wang Chao's strike. However, he did not want to let them off easily.
In an instant, except for one survivor, the rest were reduced to mere chunks of flesh. One individual was hacked into thousands of pieces! It was evident how furious and indignant Wang Chao felt; soon, the ground was littered with remains. At that moment, outside the door, Aikun'er shouted to Wang Chao, "Brother Wang Chao, you... you are amazing! Can you teach me those moves?"
"Of course!" Wang Chao returned the Bone Knife to its original form and kicked a piece of clothing onto the only living person's body. He had already noticed that they all wore similar outfits—purple-blue clothing—indicating they belonged to a certain gang. Wang Chao continued, "Now tell me, what do you do? Where are you from?"
The man trembled in fear. Just moments ago, there had been four living beings; now they were nothing but a pile of flesh. How could he not be terrified? He pointed at Wang Chao, his eyes filled with endless horror, unable to speak for a long time. Meanwhile, Yuan Min spoke up from outside the door: "Those clothes—they belong to the Anfei Safe Zone. I've dealt with them before!"
"Anfei Safe Zone?" Wang Chao rested his chin on his hand, puzzled. "Are their soldiers like this?"
Yuan Min replied, "As the saying goes, if the upper beam is not straight, the lower beam will be crooked. Their leader is just like this; if he takes a liking to a woman, he will violate her anytime and anywhere. They are even worse than the Black Clothes Society. That's why many people have fled to our Zhonghu Safety Zone, which has deepened our conflict with Anfei Safe Zone."
"Their Safe Zone philosophy is that anything they can seize is theirs to take. Because of this mindset, many people have joined Anfei Safe Zone, which has kept their military strength strong..."
Naturally! A portion of what they seized goes to their leader; the rest is theirs to keep. It's essentially a collective responsibility system gone awry—rather than motivating these individuals positively, it stirs their deepest desires and greed.
"Speak! Is what this lady said true?" Wang Chao pressed the Bone Knife against his neck again.
"Yes! Yes!" The man stammered. "We... it's all normal!"
"Normal?" Wang Chao chuckled before swiftly severing the man's head from his body; it rolled onto the floor.
At that moment, Wang Chao turned back to look at the woman lying on the bed. Her eyes were hollow, her body twitching uncontrollably as if she had lost her soul. Leaning close to her ear, Wang Chao whispered, "Don't worry; they are all dead now. No one will ever harm you again. Close your eyes; there is a paradise waiting for you." As he spoke, he plunged the Bone Knife into her heart.
Wang Chao's speed was swift, and she felt no pain. She understood that perhaps this was the best outcome; maybe death was a form of liberation for her.
