A day later, Little Grass brought Wang Chao to the mysterious island. Little Grass still hadn't revealed the old man's plan, and Wang Chao couldn't pry it out of him. His mind raced, contemplating the possible events that might unfold in the future. Although he still didn't understand what the person behind Little Grass wanted him to do, he could sense that it certainly wouldn't be anything good. 0

Wang Chao pondered deeply. From the moment he first encountered Little Grass, he had a vague feeling that the Zombie outbreak was closely related to the person who created Little Grass. It was as if he had been chosen for something. When he woke up in that operating room, he had no idea if his body had been tampered with or why that person had saved him; everything was a mystery. 0

As he walked and thought, the sights ahead left Wang Chao in disbelief. Small mechanical spheres floated in the air, each equipped with a camera, seemingly monitoring everything on the island. Surrounding them were various strange creatures—some familiar to Wang Chao and others not. He even saw a gigantic Tyrannosaurus Rex walk past him, indicating that the technology on this island far surpassed that of other places by centuries. 0

A door appeared out of thin air, and after they stepped inside, it vanished again. For some reason, Wang Chao noticed Little Grass trembling slightly. 0

Not long after, an ancient voice echoed around them as if coming from all directions: "Seed, it is time for you to sprout!" Wang Chao realized this voice referred to him. He shrugged and followed Little Grass into a vast underground plaza where an old man was already waiting for him—the very same old man. 0

In the center of the plaza stood a large glass container. Wang Chao was not unfamiliar with this object; he had been inside it before. It was a container designed to sustain basic human life, and within it floated a young girl, serene and naked. After observing her for a moment, Wang Chao said, "So, Little Grass is a clone?" 0

The old man nodded while wearing a clean white lab coat and gloves. If Wang Chao had seen this old man earlier, he would have been struck by the stark contrast; the previously filthy old man now seemed as if he had bathed and prepared himself like a devotee awaiting their deity's arrival. This was a unique opportunity; while other beings could be treated carelessly, his granddaughter must be protected from any bacteria—even though such infections would be as easy to treat for the old man as squashing an ant. 0

"Strictly speaking, she is not a clone. You must understand that clones have their own emotions; different life experiences will lead them to develop different feelings!" The old man tilted his head and shrugged with an expression that suggested "this won't work." He continued, "What I wanted was not an independent person; I only wanted a flower. So I altered Little Grass's genes, but I didn't expect this outcome—Little Grass possesses all of Flower's memories but is still not Flower." 0

"She lacks Flower's emotions and therefore won't have Flower's personality; you can think of her as the most intelligent robot." At this point, the old man had finished dressing and equipped himself before turning back to adjust nearby electronic instruments and surgical tables. Wang Chao knew he would soon be lying there himself; anxiety surged within him, but his face betrayed none of it. 0

The old man had manipulated Little Grass's genes. If a person could be controlled from their genes and lacked emotions, then Wang Chao's chances of defeating Little Grass were nearly zero. Realizing this calmed him down; since there was no way out, he might as well embrace death and rebirth. Wang Chao took a few steps and sat down on a chair. 0

"Well then, I don't see her as a robot," Wang Chao said. 0

The old man had already secured one strap of his mask over his ear, seemingly completing the final step of preparation. He said, "If you think that way, then you'll be disappointed! Little Grass knows what to do now!" With that, he donned his mask and waited for Little Grass to subdue Wang Chao and strap him onto the surgical table. Wang Chao turned to look at Little Grass; she met his gaze in return. 0

The trembling of the little grass became more pronounced, embodying a contradiction. Wang Chao knew that the little grass was hesitating. 0

The little grass looked at Wang Chao, feeling indifferent. After all, it was just a human life. The Zombie Virus she had spread had killed two-thirds of the world's population; why should she hesitate? What was happening to her? This person was just like all the others, with chromosomes and elements... 0

"Do it!" The old man was already beside the operating table. Turning to see that the little grass had not yet acted, he shouted angrily. 0

The little grass jolted and then took action. Wang Chao knew that if he didn't act now, he would have no chance left. In an instant, he activated the Breathing Technique but did not run away because he understood that his strength could not compare to that of the little grass. It wouldn't be long before she caught up with him. Wang Chao's target was the flower inside the huge Container! 0

If he could control the flower, the old man would certainly think twice before acting recklessly. 0

Just as he thought this, Wang Chao took a few steps forward, seemingly casual, but in reality, he was getting closer to the Container. With each step closer, his chances of success increased. While running, Wang Chao dared not look back at the little grass. The Bone Knife had already materialized in his hand as he aimed for the Container. The Silver Stream unleashed an unstoppable momentum; Wang Chao's Bone Knife was nearing the surface of the Container. Just a fraction of a second more, and he would pierce through it and gain control of the flower. 0

However, Wang Chao's Bone Knife could advance no further. He felt a tremendous force gripping his arm, preventing him from moving forward. Without needing to ask, he knew that the little grass had charged up and firmly grasped his arm. Wang Chao forced a bitter smile; he had been a moment too slow. Despite unleashing all his strength in that strike, it was still blocked by the little grass. 0

Turning his head, he saw that the little grass was still looking at him expressionlessly. Wang Chao deactivated the Breathing Technique and retracted his Bone Knife, nodding slightly at her. Was it true that he would meet his end here? Was it impossible for a struggling seed to break free from the constraints of the soil? What had all his efforts over the past five years been for? 0

But the gap in strength left Wang Chao with no means to resist. Soon after, he found himself bound to the operating table. 0
