The plane continued its flight towards Jing City, soaring over the city and heading for the Jing City Safe Zone. As they looked down, everyone could see that nearly the entire Jing City was surrounded by a dense mass of Zombies, packed tightly together like sardines, creating a terrifying sight. Shen Zhitao piloted the aircraft without daring to linger, heading straight for the Safe Zone. Although the plane was large, it was capable of vertical takeoff and landing. 0

The residents of the Jing City Safe Zone followed Xiao Wei and others' instructions, staying indoors without anyone venturing out. This made Wang Chao and his team’s landing much easier. They touched down in a large open area, where soldiers had gathered upon seeing the approaching aircraft, unsure whether it was friend or foe. It wasn't until they saw Wang Chao and his team disembark that they finally relaxed. Wang Chao wasted no time with pleasantries and asked directly, "Where are Liu Jie and the others? What’s the situation?" 0

The soldier responded without hesitation over the roar of the plane's engines, "Colonel Liu and his team are currently outside the walls holding back the Zombies. We are responsible for transporting ammunition and supplies. The situation is dire; those Zombies have surrounded the Jing City Safe Zone from all sides. The front gate is particularly critical; we’re running low on bullets while more Zombies keep pouring in from every direction." 0

Wang Chao nodded; the situation was as he had anticipated. From the plane, he had already seen the overall picture. After a moment of thought, he said, "We absolutely cannot let the Zombies breach Jing City. This is essentially China's Base Camp; industrial production and technological research are primarily conducted here. If this place is destroyed, it will take us years to reach our current level again." 0

Everyone nodded in agreement as Wang Chao continued, "Shen Zhitao, go to the villa and keep an eye on Yiyi and Yang Mengying; make sure they don’t get into any danger. Da Qiang, head east; Tang Feng, you go west to command. The rest of you come with me to the front gate. Little Grudge, I need you to work hard; you controlled that Zombie siege a few years ago—let's see if you can manage these Zombies too... Gao Rui, you must quickly research something to counteract the Zombie Virus." 0

"Understood!" With Wang Chao's orders given, everyone rushed off to their assigned locations as quickly as possible. 0

Wang Chao led Zhuang Peng Aiwina and members of the guard team towards the front gate. With a sharp whistle, a red-and-white figure came rushing toward them—it was Little Wolf, having heard Wang Chao's distinctive whistle. Wang Chao leaped forward and mounted Little Wolf: "Little Grudge, we’ll go ahead; everyone else will follow closely." 0

As Wang Chao hurried towards their destination, he noticed that the large iron gate at the front was already battered and worn. Years ago, when Jing City was besieged by Zombies, defenses at the Jing City Safe Zone had been significantly heightened. Anti-aircraft guns were installed atop high walls; however, even with their thunderous firepower, they could not stop the relentless tide of Zombies pouring in. The most common Zombies led the charge as cannon fodder. 0

Among them were countless massive Zombies, hiding behind which were those that sprayed Mucus—constantly ejecting green goo from their bodies. Fortunately, everyone was equipped with corrosion-resistant suits and helmets; thus, although small holes were being punctured into the walls and gates by radiation from Mucus attacks, there were no fatal consequences yet. Those black monsters flanked both sides of the Zombie tide, using their speed to rush towards the high walls while piles of Zombie corpses littered the ground—some places even formed small hills! 0

"Do you remember that Zombie siege from a few years ago?" At this moment, Liu Jie stood atop the high wall shouting to surrounding soldiers: "Now we face a similar situation again; however, we will not repeat past mistakes because we have grown into warriors! Our weapons, our equipment, our food—everything has improved exponentially compared to before! These mere Zombies are nothing to fear! Open fire; let’s eliminate them all!" 0

Liu Jie’s words boosted morale among the soldiers. Indeed, over these four years they had grown significantly—growing fearless of Zombies and becoming true warriors! 0

Bullets flew through the air alongside Mucus and massive stones hurled by giant Zombies. Anti-aircraft guns roared while cries echoed amidst sounds of tearing flesh. Occasionally injured soldiers were pulled down only to be replaced by fresh troops waiting nearby. Zombies fell one after another under fire only to be crushed into pulp by Giant Zombies behind them, creating a bloody path forward. 0
At that moment, Wang Chao arrived with Little Grudge. Little Grudge took a quick glance and said, "These Zombies are definitely being controlled by someone. If no one were controlling them, they would be like loose sand. Although they would instinctively chase after the living and gather together, they wouldn't be able to form such a reasonable formation like these Zombies." 0

Wang Chao nodded, realizing that everything was being manipulated by Zhang Fusheng. He hurriedly said, "Little Grudge, can you control these Zombies and make them go elsewhere?" Strictly speaking, Little Grudge could also be considered a type of Zombie, but she uniquely retained her previous emotions and memories, becoming a distinct Zombie who felt more connected to humanity after spending years with Wang Chao and the others. 0

Little Grudge stepped onto a platform, closed her eyes, and trembled all over, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. 0

Liu Jie and the others noticed Wang Chao and Little Grudge's arrival. Wang Chao merely nodded at them before focusing on Little Grudge. If she could indeed control these Zombies, then Zhang Fusheng's plan would soon be resolved by themselves. Just then, everyone gasped in surprise as the Zombies that had been surging forward suddenly stopped in their tracks. 0

"Keep shooting!" Liu Jie shouted. "Don't worry about what happens to these Zombies." 0

After a brief pause of a few seconds, the Zombies began to wander in place, moving forward one moment and backward the next. It looked comical, but no one on the high wall could find anything to laugh about; the scene was extremely bizarre. The Zombies spun faster and faster in place until it seemed as if they were actually running. 0

"Ah!" At that moment, Little Grudge suddenly cried out and fell backward. Wang Chao quickly caught her, wiping away the sweat that had even dripped onto her face. "What happened?" he asked. 0
