Lin Yuan was in a terrible mood, and he had good reasons for it. No matter who you were, after just paying off a personal credit deficit of one million Mechanical Coins, the very next moment, that repayment became meaningless as his personal credit plummeted back to negative ten thousand points.

The mission has a limited time frame, starting from the moment it is accepted until the next tax year. Note: This mission is optional, but once accepted, failure to complete it will result in corresponding penalties from the Mechanical City’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The reward for the mission is 250,000 Mechanical Coins, 1 Merit Point, and 0 Mission Points.

Upon seeing this mission, Lin Yuan felt a surge of excitement. If he disregarded the slaughter aspect, this mission was quite feasible. Within the next ten Mechanical Years, he could definitely manage it. Moreover, it seemed he no longer had a chance to reconcile with the Mutant Resistance. After all, facing a group of Clones didn’t evoke any feelings of guilt.

As he continued to browse through the next eight missions, Lin Yuan discovered that many of them were related to the Mutant Resistance—destroying certain bases of the Mutant Resistance, annihilating their Cultivation Tanks, eliminating the organizers behind the Mutant Resistance. In Lin Yuan's view, whether it was within ten Mechanical Years or even twenty Mechanical Years before he stepped down from his position, completing these missions seemed impossible.
Thus, Lin Yuan had no choice but to pretend he hadn’t seen them, despite how lucrative their rewards were.
Aside from these missions, two others piqued Lin Yuan’s interest. One was a Collecting Task that required him to gather Biological Alloy—not just any low-grade Biological Alloy but rather high-grade ones. These high-grade Biological Alloys typically came from Mechanical Creatures with a danger level of four stars or higher and were naturally very valuable. The official purchase price for each gram of such Biological Alloy in Mechanical City was 6,000 Mechanical Coins.
For this task, he needed to collect one kilogram of this Biological Alloy. In other words, according to Mechanical City’s official purchasing price, it would be worth 6 million Mechanical Coins. As for the reward for this task—it was 60,000 Mechanical Coins plus 10 Merit Points and 10,000 Mission Points.
That added up nicely.
However, Lin Yuan was skeptical about his ability to complete this task. Nevertheless, such things were unpredictable; fortunately, this task could wait until he collected enough Biological Alloy before accepting it later on.
The last mission was a bit special. This task could be completed continuously, requiring the collection of a certain type of Mutated Ore, without any constraints on time or quantity. Moreover, this mission had no penalties at all, which was simply wonderful. Lin Yuan didn't hesitate to accept it.
