Lin Yuan hated numbers more than anything else in his life!
If it were simple numbers like 1, 4, 5, 6, or 7, he could just pinch his nose and accept it.
But, oh, this was the most terrifying, cruel, and nightmarish aspect of numbers! Just adding a decimal point turned them into 0.145678 and even into an infinite loop!
If you thought this was the true face of the terrifying number demon, then you were surely too naive!
What a pain!
What kind of magical formula is Pi? Is the Pythagorean theorem not a secret code for infidelity? Is there some hidden trick between negative and complex numbers?
Oh, the art of Yuan techniques, the four-variable equations! The Buddha sitting on a lotus flower and the Jade Emperor riding a green bull! Are you sure this isn’t something you left behind in the mortal realm for enlightenment?
Fine, Lin Yuan could tolerate pure numerical concepts, but please, for heaven's sake, do not add any other symbols! What does ≠y mean? What kind of nonsense is this?
Infinity, infinite variables, bounded variables, unbounded variables—are these tongue twisters or spells similar to "Open Sesame"?
And what about analytic geometry and calculus? Damn it, is this the rhythm of the impending apocalypse?

Lin Yuan was taken aback; it seemed he hadn't even had the chance to set up the self-destruct mechanism. Well, it didn't matter now, as he emerged from the empty Cultivation Tank and saw that the Energy Shield surrounding the three Cultivation Tanks had already dissipated. The liquid inside the Cultivation Tanks began to turn murky, eventually resembling fresh blood, as if some force was attacking them from behind.
Although he didn't quite understand what was happening, that didn't stop Lin Yuan from making the right judgment. He called out to Claire and dashed out!
Almost simultaneously, Claire's spy camera revealed at least dozens of fully armed Mutated Clones rapidly approaching in their direction!
What else was there to do? Run for his life! As long as he could escape, it would be a victory!
The Second Form quickly activated, and he charged forward at full speed. As for Claire, he left her fate to chance; however, this program seemed quite clever, realizing the gravity of the situation and closely following behind.
In just over ten seconds, Lin Yuan reached the landing platform. However, relying on the Elevator wouldn't help him shake off the relentless pursuit of the Mutants behind him.
So Lin Yuan fired three shots in quick succession, destroying the Elevator. He then swiftly switched to his First Combat Form, using both Mechanical Legs and Mechanical Arms to climb rapidly towards the exit above like a spider!
This was much faster than using the Elevator. Just as Lin Yuan was about to reach the first floor, he heard a loud bang from below where the Elevator had been. A shadow appeared like lightning, pursuing him at an incredible speed!
"Damn it! A Hunter!"
In that instant, Lin Yuan felt every hair on his body stand on end. Was this for real? A Hunter! The very thought sent chills down his spine!
Without time to think about anything else, Lin Yuan accelerated upward while switching to his Heavy Sniper Rifle, locking onto that shadow below which resembled a flea!
However, it became evident that as an E1 level Elite Warrior from the start, the overall combat power of a Hunter was terrifying. Although Lin Yuan had previously killed a Hunter, that didn't mean he could defeat this one with his current strength!
To put it simply, it was like someone jumping from a forty-story building and surviving due to luck; it didn't mean they would survive a second jump from the same height!
Damn it!
So Lin Yuan didn't waste any precious Firestone High-Explosive Armor-Piercing Rounds. He shouted in his mind to stay calm—he had to remain calm!
The next second, Lin Yuan burst out of the massive corridor and swung back to strike the support column of the nearby Elevator before tossing it down!
But before Lin Yuan could prepare himself for what came next, he heard a thunderous crash. The support column, weighing several thousand pounds, was blasted away by an incredibly powerful force, leaving a deep imprint of a fist on its surface!
“What the Bear!”
Lin Yuan was truly terrified; this Hunter seemed even more fearsome than the one he had encountered before!
In the brief moment of a few tenths of a second, a slender figure stood steadily on the lift platform. The same graceful physique, the same height of two meters and fifty centimeters, the same Hunter Armor, and the same Hunter's Longsword. Yet, the raw killing intent emanating from her felt tangible. Even though Lin Yuan was now a Mechanical Life, he still felt a chill run down his spine.
Despite that, he didn't have a single hair on him!
“Esteemed Executive, I have long admired your reputation; it precedes you. I never expected to meet you here. This is truly an unpleasant experience.”
The Hunter did not immediately launch an attack but instead spoke calmly in a language Lin Yuan was very familiar with—Mandarin.
“Is it strange? I find it quite strange as well. Esteemed Executive, may I ask why, as a Secondary Citizen of Mechanical City with a formal lineage and noble blood—a True Mechanical Life—you would choose to speak the native language of a colonized planet? When did you Mechanical Nobility develop such peculiar tastes? I believe every cause has its effect. Esteemed Executive, are you here voluntarily? Or should I assist you in leaving? Perhaps you would prefer to surrender immediately, or should I take matters into my own hands?”
The Hunter spoke lightly, her tone lacking any real disdain or mockery. What truly shocked Lin Yuan was that this person knew he usually spoke Mandarin. The only ones who knew this were Claire and that Gatekeeper. It seemed they were suspecting something.
Damn it! Lin Yuan disliked being treated as an outcast! In ancient times, heretics were burned at the stake; in this technological age, they were dissected. Now, he worried that these Mutants had mastered Soul Cutting!
Damn!
With no other options left, Lin Yuan could only scream internally and then charge forward recklessly. He knew this Hunter was incredibly fast; using a Heavy Sniper Rifle at such close range would be suicidal. His only chance for survival lay in close combat!
“Oh! Esteemed Executive, you really lack gentlemanly manners!” The Hunter mocked disdainfully, like an old mother cat toying with a male rat.
The figure shifted; suddenly, the Hunter split into countless afterimages, moving at an incredible speed and effortlessly dodging Lin Yuan’s charge!
Before Lin Yuan could react, three swift slashes came slicing through the air—fast and fierce!
Fortunately, Lin Yuan's Main Audio-Visual Radar had reached level f5, barely allowing him to keep up with the Hunter's attack speed. However, his Mechanical Body lagged behind just enough for those three strikes to land directly on his Engine Armor!
Although his Engine Armor was the strongest part of him due to its Enhancement Level, it was also the most vulnerable point of his Mechanical Body. If breached, death would be certain!
Yet Lin Yuan couldn't even grasp the trajectory of the Hunter's attacks. Moreover, she deliberately avoided his Feathered Shield and Hunter's Longsword since those could inflict significant damage on her as well!
This was truly the most terrifying and darkest experience. Lin Yuan fought desperately, but he couldn't even touch the shadow of the Hunter. Instead, he himself was attacked two or three times every second. If it weren't for his Mechanical Body being enhanced to a certain degree, and if the Hunter didn't seem intent on capturing him alive, he would have already collapsed.
Stay calm, stay calm!
Lin Yuan constantly reminded himself that he couldn't let his thoughts wander. He couldn't think about the pursuers or whether he could escape; he had to give it his all, burning the boats behind him and fighting with no way out!

The Feathered Shield and Hunter's Longsword protected his front, and he utilized Waist Rotation to ensure that no matter where the Hunter's attacks came from, he would maintain the fastest defensive response.
Once his defense was set up, he could then consider how to attack!
And indeed, this strategy proved effective. Lin Yuan's defense remained strong; once he actively defended himself, the Hunter could no longer act as freely as before.
What frustrated the Hunter most was that Lin Yuan's Mechanical Body could rotate swiftly from the waist while his Mechanical Legs only needed to maintain balance. His upper body spun rapidly to block and defend, moving quickly and accurately.
