Since the death of his parents, Sima Chuan had become an orphan. He did not want to be constrained by others, so he had been wandering aimlessly.
Until one day...
The north wind howled fiercely, and the trees creaked under the cold gusts. Heavy snow was approaching, yet Sima Chuan found himself in a desolate wilderness, surrounded only by a few lifeless mountains. There were no other living creatures in sight.
Sima Chuan complained, "How did I end up here? I was clearly heading towards the city. Sigh." He thought about turning back, but at that moment, snow was already swirling around him, and it was getting heavier. "It seems impossible to go back now. I have no choice but to find a place to take shelter," he decided as he walked toward the mountains.
After walking for a while, Sima Chuan arrived at the foot of a mountain and noticed a cave entrance. "Perfect, I can go in and take cover," he thought, brushing aside the dry grass nearby. The cave was small, so Sima Chuan had to bend down to enter.
Once inside, he shook off the snow from his clothes. As he looked ahead, he was startled. Sima Chuan's face filled with confusion: "What? It hasn't been long since it started snowing, and it's already frozen in here? What's going on?" He glanced around and saw that the entire cave was covered in a thick layer of ice. A chill ran through him. At that moment, he wanted to leave but saw that outside, snow was falling heavily. With no other option, Sima Chuan ventured deeper into the cave.
As he continued forward, he noticed that the ice grew thicker and he felt colder. After a short while, Sima Chuan discovered an ice mountain within the cave. It seemed like something was trapped inside; upon closer inspection, it appeared to be a person. The figure was transparent like ice but had a deep blue hue reminiscent of ocean water.
Sima Chuan looked at the ice mountain but found nothing else of interest. Out of curiosity, he reached out to touch it, but as soon as he did, an unusual coldness enveloped him.
Suddenly, cracks began to appear in the ice mountain accompanied by the sound of cracking ice. Startled, Sima Chuan quickly stepped back two paces. Before long, all the ice fell away, revealing a transparent blue "human form."
Sima Chuan took two steps forward and touched the "human form," which felt fluid like water. He looked around and noticed there was still a path ahead. So he began to walk forward again. Just then, his left hand was tightly grasped by a hand. He jumped in surprise and slowly lowered his head to see that the "human form" was gripping his left hand tightly while looking directly at him.
Sima Chuan asked in terror, "What do you want?"
The "human form" replied in Sima Chuan's voice, "Because you released me, I must merge with you."
Before Sima Chuan could react, the "human form" suddenly merged into his body. Instantly, he felt something entering his mind without any pain.
Before long, Sima Chuan returned to his original state and felt just as he had before. At that moment, he no longer felt cold.
"Now that I have merged with you, from now on you are me and I am you. My name is Akaper; what is yours?"
"I am Sima Chuan. Why did you enter my body? What do you want?"
"I have merged with you because you released me."
"Why?"
"Because I belong to my own mission."
"Mission?"
"That's right. I come from the distant planet DR-5. Our planet has maintained a peaceful situation for a long time. Until one day, the power of technology made our needs for space and resources grow. But there was no room left for technological development. So, some Sages and ministers thought of invasion."
"Invasion?"
"Yes." Akaper sighed.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang, and something leaped out from the 'hole' in front.
Sima Chuan wanted to step back, but Akaper stopped him and said, "It's one of us." Sima Chuan felt relieved.
The object stopped in front of Sima Chuan, and when he looked closely, he realized it was a Hoverboard.
The Hoverboard: a commonly used transportation tool in the future world that can operate on land and in the air. It bears similarities to today's motorcycles.
"That's right, I am the ultra-intelligent Hoverboard invented by Sade Sage. I can even transform!"
"Transform?" Sima Chuan asked, puzzled.
"Yes, I can even turn into a person!"
"A person?" Just then, the Hoverboard transformed into a boy about the same size as Sima Chuan.
"Ah!" Sima Chuan exclaimed in surprise.
"There's no need to be shocked; I am actually a robot. Sade Sage modified me like this." As he spoke, the Hoverboard extended his right hand and said, "Hello, my name is Qiong."
Sima Chuan immediately reached out his right hand to shake Qiong's. "Hello, my name is Sima Chuan."
In a certain Technology Room on a planet in the universe, a person using a super-intelligent search device suddenly turned and left, moving hurriedly, almost running. He entered a place called Nai Hall.
"I found it, Lady Nayi."
"Good, very good, Booth. You go take care of this," Nai instructed.
"Yes, my lady." With that, he bowed and exited.
"Hahaha... Sade, you thought I would never find Akaper. Now, hmph. I've found you. Just wait until I catch up with you; you're in for it. Hahaha..."
"Alright, we have things to do later. Since we're out, Nai must already know our whereabouts. We need to leave quickly," Akaper reminded.
"Leave? It's snowing heavily right now," Sima Chuan questioned.
"Don't worry, we have each other."
"Okay then."
"Qiong, let's go," Akaper added.
"Yay!"
But just as they reached the entrance of the cave, they stopped. They saw some animal-like figures approaching them through the heavy snow.
"What’s wrong?" Sima Chuan asked, tugging at his clothing as his hands and feet trembled slightly.
"Danger. Those are Nai's Mechanical Soldiers," Qiong replied.
"Ah!"
"We have no choice. It has to be this way," Akaper said.
"What?"
"Chuan, silently repeat my name in your heart."
"Oh, okay."
Suddenly, Sima Chuan felt a stirring within his body, and then, light burst forth from him in all directions. Immediately after, something tightly enveloped him, leaving no gaps. Yet Sima Chuan felt no discomfort; on the contrary, he felt a warmth and found himself incredibly agile.
As he focused his gaze, he saw that he was clad in a layer of steel armor.
"I've long surpassed this; you are me, and I am you."
"What is happening?"
"We are Robots."
"That's right." At that moment, Qiong had also transformed, becoming nearly identical to him.
"It’s been a while since we moved; now, let’s show them what we’re made of."
"Okay. I can't wait."
"Chuan, it's just like fighting; take them on. Got it?"
"Sure, no problem." With that, he dashed into the heavy snow.
Suddenly, the Mechanical Soldier's hand morphed into a missile launcher, and missiles shot toward Sima Chuan and Qiong. Sima Chuan shouted "Xuan," and a light blue sword emanating cold air appeared in his hand. He swung the sword, knocking down missile after missile until there were loud explosions that created craters in the ground.
Meanwhile, Qiong flew through the air, twisting and turning as missiles whizzed past her. Soon after, the large figures in the snow were taken down one by one.
At this point, Sima Chuan and Qiong had charged right up to the Mechanical Soldier. The Mechanical Soldier attempted to use its weapons again, but soon all of them were defeated.
"How's that, Booth? You lapdog." With that, Sima Chuan had already placed his sword against Booth's neck.
"Haha, don't worry. I'll be back." Booth's hand twitched slightly.
"What?" Suddenly, Booth vanished.
"Damn it, I forgot Booth had the Time-Space Transfer Device," Akaper complained.
"Sima Chuan looked at himself and asked, 'You are Robots, so what am I now?'"
"What?" Akaper was somewhat surprised. "Heh, well, this has been thought out by Sade Sage long ago."
"Yeah. We just didn't expect you to change so suddenly."
"What?"
"You will be a Mechanical Warrior from now on," Akaper replied.
"Mechanical Warrior," Sima Chuan repeated.
"Yes." Qiong gazed at Sima Chuan.
