Thunder God Corporation is one of the top arms companies in America, reigning as the undisputed king of missile technology. Ironically, the mastermind behind the development of the mobile missile countermeasure system, Elder Josen, is part of Thunder God Corporation's research team. 0

Perhaps it is due to his deep understanding of missiles that he was able to deduce the existence of such a powerful Anti-Lock Field. 0

"I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. I won't be involved in the company's sales, and as you can see from the current situation, it seems I've angered someone and have been left here as a pawn," Elder Josen said with a grimace. 0

However, he quickly shifted his tone. "But if you have needs in this area, I could help you secure a secondary agency with Lockheed Martin. However, due to national laws, if you want to become a secondary agent, you must be a citizen with a clean background and have your own sales channels and capital." 0

Hearing Elder Josen's words, Yang Xiaoyou looked at him deeply through his helmet. This PhD, who was completely absorbed in research, seemed far less rigid than one might expect and quickly made several judgments. 0

It appeared that Elder Josen had already sensed that Yang's situation was precarious and had reached some agreement with other arms giants. 0

Seeing that Yang Xiaoyou did not respond, Elder Josen spoke again. "If this seems difficult, I can introduce you to some channels for replacing light conventional equipment instead of directly acting as an agent." 0

"Deal." Yang Xiaoyou's initial goal was not to become a secondary agent; after all, this involved numerous risks regarding technology leaks, and his less-than-innocent identity would never allow him to secure such a position. 0

Not being able to act directly as an arms company agent did not mean he couldn't participate in such transactions. A significant portion of the global low-end weapons market is controlled by non-standard wild arms dealers who stockpile through special channels. 0

With a complete research and production system at his disposal, and considering the influence of various countries on their companies, these arms giants primarily focus their energy on large contracts between nations. The low-end market is either ignored or tolerated by those wild arms dealers. 0

As a result, whether through smuggling or funding hostile nations, no one could blame these large companies. 0

Yang Xiaoyou's initial aim was centered on this. He remembered that almost all his time had been spent fleeing and being hunted. After being forced into the Mercenary World, he became quite clear about the related changes and the distribution of power among various arms and intelligence agencies. 0

At least he understood it much better than fluctuations in the stock market or commodity prices. 0

Armed with this knowledge and memory, starting from a small scale and gradually adapting to this world while validating his memories would not be an issue at all. 0

Once he had sufficient funds and solidified his influence, he could begin extending into the arms sector, forming his own Combat Team and intelligence agency. 0

He understood that building a force greater than the mysterious organization from his past life was nearly impossible; after all, that was a super organization built over many years. However, under conditions of ignorance from others, creating an influence capable of impacting them seemed worth attempting. With his own power for strategic alliances, perhaps he could cause them some discomfort. 0

"It seems the signal jamming is severe; I need to get out of the city limits to contact someone for pickup. I'll rely on you during this time," Elder Josen said as he flipped open a satellite phone and shook his head. 0

The doctor, despite the circumstances, maintained a strong composure. For an ordinary person, suddenly finding themselves in such an environment would likely take a long time to recover their senses. However, aside from a moment of surprise when Elder Josen briefly introduced Yang Xiaoyou to the Corpse, he did not show much discomfort. 0

"Compared to a torrent of metal, flesh and blood is ultimately insignificant. Since you have a need for me, you will surely protect me well. Professional matters should be left to professionals; worrying won't help. Since you were able to find me in this environment, you should also have the ability to take me out. I trust you," Elder Josen said, a stiff smile appearing on his pale face. 0

Seeing this fellow who resembled the Corpse even more than the Corpse itself, Yang Xiaoyou said nothing further and instructed him to stay close to Nobunaga Hideyoshi. 0

Due to unexpected changes in their plans, the next steps would likely need some adjustments. With Elder Josen present, the complicated route initially set up to ensure identity concealment could be discarded. 0

Now they only needed to leave the city's Signal control area and then use Elder Josen's satellite phone to call for help, following the personnel sent by Lockheed Martin to leave. 0

After all, since the F-5 Lightning II began mass production and export in 2006, the original Arms giant had grown even more powerful. The relationship with the U.S. government was complex; bypassing military personnel for extraction was entirely feasible and would save them from dealing with military identity checks after escaping. 0

Having rescued this Treasure Buddy, there was no need for the extraction personnel to make things difficult for them. Mercenaries wanting to hide their identities wouldn't be overly concerned either; after all, they were not government troops and might even consider themselves part of an American Special Department. 0

"My identity may raise some questions for you, but that doesn't matter. You just need to know that following me will lead you successfully out of this city and into a brand new future. As for how to address me, you can call me 'Yi,'" Elder Josen said after organizing some of his data onto a portable hard drive. 'Yi' naturally represented another identity from his memories, completely separate from his reality. 0

The conversation included Noah and Nobunaga Hideyoshi as well. Their previous behavior and foresight regarding Elder Josen's situation had likely already made an impact on both of them. 0

Although it wasn't as shocking as Luo Guohui's overwhelming combat prowess back then, combined with Yang Xiaoyou's life-saving grace and an invitation extended proactively, it was close enough. 0

Upon hearing Yang Xiaoyou's words, neither Elder Josen nor Noah showed much reaction; they didn't notice anything unusual in his tone. However, Nobunaga Hideyoshi turned to look at him, seemingly lost in thought. 0

Throughout their journey, Yang Xiaoyou had given hints here and there. Coupled with this obvious statement, Nobunaga Hideyoshi understood its implications. 0

"If we can really leave successfully, why not give it a try? After all, it's your life we owe this to. Besides, you don't seem like someone who would recklessly lead us into danger. Although we're not afraid of death, we also don't want to die without meaning," Nobunaga Hideyoshi said with a flicker of something inscrutable in his eyes. 0

"Hideyoshi, what are you talking about?" Noah asked, scratching his chin with his palm as if confused by Nobunaga Hideyoshi's sudden comment. 0

"Don't you get it? This mysterious fellow is trying to recruit you. His plan for selling us out has probably just begun. Tsk tsk—it's impressive that you found me at all when you're not even together." 0

"But Hideyoshi sister, following such an unknown fellow into danger is too risky. How about I introduce you as a secondary agent for Lockheed Martin? As for nationality issues, there's no need to worry; I'm still unmarried. We just need to get some symbolic documents done," Elder Josen said with a dazed expression before being interrupted by Nobunaga Hideyoshi elbowing him in the stomach, causing him to half-kneel on the ground and retch. 0

"Let's go." Ignoring the peculiar doctor now, Yang Xiaoyou felt quite pleased. Although Nobunaga Hideyoshi's tone was merely testing the waters, based on his understanding of their character, Yang Xiaoyou knew that his plan was already halfway successful. 0

Regarding Noah's opinion 0

Well, this big guy might have strength that surpasses Nobunaga Hideyoshi, but seeing how he usually avoids using his brain, it's clear that Nobunaga Hideyoshi is the one in charge in their daily lives. 0

"Wait, wait a minute, cough cough, I'm injured. Can someone help me?" The frail Elder Josen spoke in a voice that sounded like he was about to pass out, while constantly glancing at Nobunaga Hideyoshi beside him. 0

"Noah, carry him on your back. If necessary, you can treat him as bait. Your lives are more important than his," Yang Xiaoyou gestured. 0

Although there was a hint of trying to gain favor, Yang Xiaoyou wasn't completely blind; at least in his eyes, Elder Josen was indeed less important than the two of them. After all, it was still too early to establish a company for research and production. 0

To him, the Elder was almost useless except for providing a supply channel. The main reason for this sudden decision to rescue this fellow was to impress Noah and Nobunaga Hideyoshi, showing them his 'great abilities.' 0

He already had several other backup supply channels in mind from his memory; they would just be slightly more difficult and costlier. 0

In some ways, arms trading was the most crucial part. There were plenty of merchants with goods in hand, but how to turn those goods into money—or into a satisfactory amount of money—was where the competition was fiercest. 0

Then Noah picked up the weeping Elder as if he were lifting a chicken and slung him over his shoulder. 0
