The faint fragrance drifting from beside him caught his attention, and a subtle glance to the right revealed the full, upright curves of a figure that made Yang Xiaoyou feel somewhat uneasy. 0

Even more uncomfortable were the fierce gazes that occasionally darted in his direction, with Huang Wei being the most intense among them. 0

"I may not have been a womanizer in my memories, but I have had my experiences. Why can't I maintain a bit of composure?" Yang Xiaoyou thought as he recalled fragments of his past, feeling increasingly flustered. The shock was far greater than anything he had encountered in strange videos. 0

Although he had never had the opportunity for romance due to his environment, the immense pressure and the need to play along during life-threatening situations had given him some experience in this aspect. While not extensive, it was certainly not negligible. 0

Unfortunately, his current level of composure was nowhere near what it had been back then. The girl he felt closest to was Qi Menglu, and because they had grown up together, he never thought much of their playful interactions. Besides, there was a significant difference in their physical attributes. 0

Now, however, this situation left Yang Xiaoyou feeling a bit dizzy. Could it be that he was experiencing a moment of springtime awakening? Yet even if he felt lightheaded, it was merely an instinctive appreciation for beauty. He remained rational enough to understand that someone like her, with such family background and looks, was best admired from afar—nothing more. 0

In terms of appearance, Yang Xiaoyou's slightly delicate features might not be considered handsome, but they could certainly be described as good-looking and likable. However, his previously introverted and timid personality had resulted in a rather limited social circle, with very few friends of the opposite sex. 0

"Xiao You, is there something on my face?" At that moment, a soft voice like fragrant orchids pulled Yang Xiaoyou back to reality. The warmth from her breath brushed against his ear, causing an involuntary ticklish sensation. 0

Her curious and innocent expression made him feel somewhat embarrassed; she was simply being herself, yet it had led him to daydream. 0

Amidst this haze of thoughts, the first class came to an end. As the bell rang, the classroom erupted into chaos. A crowd of boys and girls rushed toward Yang Xiaoyou's seat, chattering away with Liu Lianyue about various everyday topics. 0

Of course, there were also fellows like Huang Wei pretending to seek out Yang Xiaoyou. 0

"Alright everyone, quiet down! I know you're all excited, but we need to consider Liu Lianyue's well-being; this isn't good for her," said a boy wearing glasses. Though not conventionally handsome, he exuded a sense of stability—he was Zhang Peng, the class monitor. 0

Zhang Peng had also participated in the school trip alongside Yang Xiaoyou. However, he seemed not to have survived that trip in Yang Xiaoyou's memories; it was only after he made some changes during the Kapa City 617 incident that he became one of the fortunate survivors among those who had perished. 0

Being able to join the school trip already indicated one's capabilities and family background. In class, his words carried considerable weight. 0

Hearing this, most of the classmates naturally dispersed, as Liu Lianyue's health condition was well-known. 0

"Liu Lianyue, you rarely come to school. Now that you've decided to attend regularly, let me take you to get familiar with the school environment," Zhang Peng said gently, adjusting his glasses and nodding at Yang Xiaoyou beside him. 0

After all, they were all survivors who had escaped together, sharing a sense of camaraderie. 0

"Zhang Peng, as the class monitor, must have a lot on his plate. You shouldn't waste your time just for me. Yang Xiaoyou can show me around; is that okay?" Liu Lianyue said softly, looking at Yang Xiaoyou with a hint of pleading in her expression. 0

"Of course! No problem at all! Xiao You and I will make sure to fulfill your wishes; leave it to us," Huang Wei interjected enthusiastically before Yang Xiaoyou could respond. 0

Upon hearing this, Zhang Peng felt a bit awkward. He wasn't entirely comfortable leaving Huang Wei alone with her, but he trusted Yang Xiaoyou, who was a decent person. "Then I'll leave it to you two." 0

At that moment, Yang Xiaoyou noticed something off. He glanced at the smiling Liu Lianyue and felt an odd sense of discomfort, but he quickly brushed it aside. 0

"What a reasonable and gentle girl! Her personality is much better than Menglu's. In this pampered age, good girls like her are hard to come by. I'm just overthinking things," he thought to himself. 0

Most of the conversation during their walk was led by Huang Wei, who enthusiastically introduced various aspects of the school while also discussing the recent 617 incident. Throughout the morning, every break between classes was spent on this topic. Liu Lianyue remained quiet and listened attentively, while Yang Xiaoyou felt more like a bystander. 0

Huang Wei even hinted multiple times that Yang Xiaoyou could leave it all to him and go off on his own. 0

When lunchtime arrived, Huang Wei eagerly ran over to invite Yang Xiaoyou and Liu Lianyue to lunch at the school cafeteria. 0

Surprisingly, Liu Lianyue did not refuse. 0

"Due to my health issues, the school has granted me permission not to join any clubs. However, I don't want to stand out too much. After I expressed this thought, the student council allowed me to join any club I like or even start a new one based on my interests. Do you have any good suggestions?" Liu Lianyue asked after taking only a few symbolic bites of food. She noticed Yang Xiaoyou devouring his meal and Huang Wei looking at her with eager anticipation. 0

"Ah! Did the student council approve your random club formation? How about an Anime Club, or maybe the Traditional Literature Club?" Huang Wei initially intended to suggest an Anime Club, but seemingly due to image concerns, he changed his tone and adopted a more artistic expression. 0

Yang Xiaoyou, who was sitting nearby, nearly burst out laughing. The rare opportunity was completely ruined by him. 0

"Hey, Huang Wei, I want a share too." 0

"Go away, as long as you don't starve, why do you have so many demands?" The one treating them, Huang Wei, responded with a completely different attitude to Yang Xiaoyou's request. 0

"If you don’t mind, you can have my portion. It would be a shame to waste it," Liu Lianyue said with a gentle smile, revealing her cute dimples. Her portion had indeed barely been touched. 0

The issue of hunger outweighed any sense of pride. Although Yang Xiaoyou felt a bit embarrassed by the situation, he didn’t hold back and pulled the food over to himself, diving back into eating. 0

However, this situation left Huang Wei regretting his choices. If he had known better, he would have let himself go hungry first; he would have eaten until he burst! He never expected that Yang Xiaoyou, who usually kept quiet, would be so ruthless at a critical moment. 0

In the past, they often ate together, and Huang Wei knew Yang Xiaoyou's appetite well. To him, it seemed like Yang Xiaoyou had been plotting this for a long time and was now devouring the food with all his might. 0

Due to Huang Wei's persistent pleading, Yang Xiaoyou skipped afternoon practice. The main reason was that he had only eaten double portions for lunch and felt too lazy to move again. Once in the classroom, he slumped over his desk like a corpse. 0

"I'm so hungry." The protest from his stomach left Yang Xiaoyou feeling completely listless. In the morning, he had the energy to appreciate the beautiful scenery around him; by afternoon, he was in a total standby state. 0

Simply put, while Yang Xiaoyou needed far less food than an average person to sustain life, he not only engaged in high-intensity training but also needed to constantly store nutrients for emergencies. The two months of summer vacation had increased his appetite significantly; now he was just feeling hungry. 0

However, even in this standby state, if someone were to touch Yang Xiaoyou's body at that moment, they would notice that all his muscles were undergoing a rhythmic tremor autonomously. 0

When the school bell rang in the afternoon, Yang Xiaoyou felt someone nudge him while he was slumped over his desk. Groggily opening his eyes, he saw Liu Lianyue blinking at him. 0

At that moment, she stuck out her tongue a bit shyly and said, "Xiao You, could you accompany me to check the Activity Room I applied for? Huang Wei went ahead because he had something to do." 0

"Ah? He actually went first," Yang Xiaoyou replied, his expression one of surprise. He truly couldn't imagine what could be so important to Huang Wei that he would leave Liu Lianyue alone. 0

Could it be that fellow has realized that a beauty of this caliber can only be a friend, someone to admire from afar, with little chance of pursuing? 0

"Oh, sure." Perhaps due to the shadow cast by Daqi Menglu, Yang Xiaoyou felt quite fond of this pure and kind-hearted girl. It wasn't exactly love, but he didn't mind helping her out. Moreover, if they spent more time together, there was certainly a possibility for something more. 0

At this moment, it was the peak time for students leaving school. Most of the students around were heading to their clubs, while some freshmen chose to go straight home. 0

Yang Xiaoyou and Liu Lianyue walking together certainly attracted attention. 0

"Hey? This fellow seems to be living quite carefree. It's been two months already; it seems he really hasn't remembered anything. But I still need to observe him for a while longer." In the Student Council President's Office in the teaching building, Liang Wuxuan pulled back part of the curtains and looked down at Yang Xiaoyou and Liu Lianyue. A playful yet strange smile flickered across his lips. 0

Just then, there was a knock on the office door, and she quickly pulled the curtains shut and said crisply, "Come in." 0

"Xiao You, what's wrong?" Liu Lianyue asked curiously as she noticed Yang Xiaoyou shivering slightly and looking around. 0

"Nothing... I just feel like someone is watching me. Maybe I'm overthinking it," Yang Xiaoyou said with a nervous laugh after glancing around. 0
