The night was unusually quiet along the railway, until a speeding train roared through, shattering the stillness.
"Haha, instead of taking the main road, he insists on cutting through this remote place. I could have easily dealt with him in the City Center," said the man wearing sunglasses, who had been following Yang Xiaoyou closely. A sinister and wicked expression crept onto his face as they arrived at the desolate railway.
"You don't need to get your hands dirty; let us handle it. We promise not to harm your precious one, but we need him alive," another person quickly chimed in.
"I know my limits. Hmph, if we end up hurting his delicate skin, I can always count on you lot to make up the numbers," the leader casually remarked, causing the others to feel a surge of fear and an urge to flee.
After exchanging glances, they steeled themselves and approached with ropes in hand. One of them even pulled out a handkerchief and a bottle, applying something onto the cloth that released a pungent odor.
Seeing that there was no one around and feeling the pressure from their leader behind them, they quickened their pace as they closed in on Yang Xiaoyou, who seemed oblivious and leisurely strolling along.
"Hey, do you remember me? If you cooperate honestly this time, we can all be happy and avoid any pain," said the man who had recognized Yang Xiaoyou last time, his face twisted into a cruel grin.
Upon realizing that one of them was indeed a fellow from before, Yang Xiaoyou felt a twinge of surprise. It seemed this incident had nothing to do with Sun Jun; he had wronged him. If Yongxing's people were aware of his ties with the Common Unity Party, they would never resort to such foolishness over a bit of money.
The Common Unity Party was thriving like never before.
It was likely that those inciting violence against him were either their own people or some force behind them. But what use would capturing someone like him be in dealing with the Common Unity Party? Yang Xiaoyou had carefully considered the risks and rewards before joining the Common Unity Party. Targeting him because of it would be utterly futile.
Not only would it offend the Common Unity Party, but they would gain nothing useful from him; the costs would far outweigh any potential benefits. This incident seemed to be a continuation of Mo Wenfu's previous affair. He needed to find a way to have the Common Unity Party shield him from this storm.
"I don’t want to suffer either, but could you tell me why you’re trying to capture me? I need to understand if this is personal animosity or related to my party affiliation. If it's the latter, then I might as well just leave," Yang Xiaoyou said with an innocent expression.
"Why are you asking so many questions? You don’t need to know about such things. Hmph, just cooperate honestly, and you'll have your moments of comfort later," another fellow with half-dyed yellow hair threatened menacingly.
"Oh, so you don't know either. It's because of the Common Unity Party, right? That fellow in the back is the leader, but I’m afraid he won’t know much about this issue either." As she noticed the other party's reaction, Yang Xiaoyou's tone gradually turned colder.
Her influence on the Common Unity Party was almost negligible. In such a situation, if they were to target her, it would likely be a collateral effect, or they could just randomly arrest a member of the Common Unity Party to fill their quota, or even someone with a slight connection to the Progressive Faction.
If it wasn’t to pacify Soft Nail, then it was to shake the tiger’s mountain.
Yongxing's abilities were not particularly outstanding domestically, but the interest groups he represented were quite complex. Now that the Common Unity Party had ties with that organization, it would be better for her to ignite the fire herself. The last shooting incident had failed to escalate due to the Common Unity Party's sudden withdrawal.
This time, she intended to make it so that even jumping into the Yellow River wouldn’t wash them clean. Since they lacked more specific intelligence, there was no value in holding back.
"Kid! What’s your attitude? You want to die?" The half-blonde man shouted fiercely upon hearing Yang Xiaoyou's words.
"Why are you being so fierce? Don’t scare my darling." The Sunglasses Man, who had been standing in the back, spoke in a strange tone and then slowly walked over.
Hearing this, a wicked smile crept onto Yang Xiaoyou's lips. Good, now even her methods were being confirmed by others; she could finally let go of her last bit of hesitation.
After a light chuckle, the fellows surrounding Yang Xiaoyou suddenly felt an explosion erupt in their midst.
A loud 'boom' accompanied by a strong gust of wind erupted, sending stones and dust flying into the air like an explosion. It stung as it hit them, causing several of them to instinctively close their eyes and take a few steps back.
As they closed their eyes, a dull yet nauseating sound of 'bang' reached their ears.
When they finally opened their eyes again, they saw that thin figure now standing ten meters away from them, right where their Gold Medal Enforcer had been positioned.
Just as they opened their eyes, they caught sight of him retracting his fist. The once formidable fighter who had seemed invincible was now crumpled on the ground like a shrimp, blood spilling from his mouth along with some disgusting fragments.
Although he had been struck in the abdomen, his back bore a torn hole in his clothing that revealed blood-red skin beneath, creating an extremely bizarre sight.
If someone were to observe the scene in slow motion, they would notice that Yang Xiaoyou, who was originally surrounded by a few people, took just one step and instantly reached the Sunglasses Man ten meters away with a speed that surpassed human limits.
The explosive sound and the dust that erupted were a result of his incredible speed, leaving a clear mark on the ground as he propelled himself forward, cutting through the air with a whistling sound.
That domineering, swift punch was unstoppable, effortlessly penetrating the Sunglasses Man's instinctive defense as he raised his hand to block. The punch struck the man's abdomen with a distorted rush of air.
The immense force did not send him flying; instead, it completely drove into the body of the Sunglasses Man. The violent energy and penetrating power crushed his internal organs and continued to push through, emerging from his back and even tearing a hole in his shirt.
Until the man collapsed to the ground, his body remained connected to Yang Xiaoyou's fist. It was a perfect explosion of power, flawless technique, and an impeccable strike.
As Yang Xiaoyou withdrew his fist and allowed the lifeless body to fall to the ground, he slowly turned around with an expression of indifference, looking at the few people behind him who were still in shock.
Those who had initially thought this job would be easy and enjoyable now looked at Yang Xiaoyou with eyes full of fear. One student, who had previously been coerced but complied obediently, suddenly revealed a terrifying side that they could never have imagined.
The strongest Gold Medal Enforcer they had ever seen had been effortlessly killed with a single punch, unable to resist even for a moment. The remnants of his internal organs made it clear that he was beyond saving.
And what about that explosive spray just now? Was this really a force and speed that could be generated by human strength? This sudden change left them feeling as if they were in a dream.
