"Hey, hey, we really can't leave. They'll tear down our shop!" The chef from Class B, a girl with a few freckles but otherwise quite attractive, was pulling Yang Xiaoyou with a distressed expression. 0

"If I leave, they'll just demolish the shop. But if I stay, I might get torn apart by others. I really can't delay this any longer. Most people should have gone to the Conference Building by now; the pressure shouldn't be too much. That's it." After pushing her into the chef's position, Yang Xiaoyou, along with Liu Lianyue, who had been sneaking snacks on the side, left the classroom to prepare for the play at the Conference Building. 0

Yuying Middle School's Conference Building was quite spacious, designed to accommodate all students when necessary. 0

During this Campus Festival, several performance programs were held there, including some from clubs of the Royal Academy of Basic Studies. 0

Yang Xiaoyou had contacted Qi Menglu on her phone to confirm that she was still at her own school and hadn't come over yet. This eased Yang Xiaoyou's mind considerably; after all, it wouldn't be good for her to see the play she was performing. 0

"Mr. Zhao Liang, classmate Zhao Chen." Upon arriving at the designated room for contestants in the Conference Building, Yang Xiaoyou saw Zhao Liang, whose hands were still bandaged. She also noticed Zhao Chen beside him, but their president was nowhere to be seen. 0

From the surface, it was hard to tell that Zhao Chen, who was complaining about Zhao Liang not taking care of his injury properly, would one day personally kill his brother. 0

Zhao Liang's abilities were unquestionable; Zhao Chen's future achievements were greatly influenced by him. However, Zhao Liang had a significant and deadly flaw. 0

He was too trusting of those he found pleasing to the eye. This had been evident during their last encounter in Pudong's Quarantine Zone and remained true with Zhao Chen as well. 0

Given their previous interactions, one would expect that with his abilities, he could carve out his own space in memory. Unfortunately... 0

"Here you go, Chen. This is my Yang the Younger! But this fellow has a sharp tongue; he used to call me 'Old Man' when we first met." Zhao Liang, while dealing with Zhao Chen's complaints, shifted the topic cheerfully upon seeing Yang Xiaoyou and brought Zhao Chen into the conversation. 0

"We've been through life and death together in Kapa City. What about you, Yang Xiaoyou?" After hearing Zhao Liang's words, Zhao Chen wore a gentle expression. 0

His words exuded sincerity that easily endeared him to others and made them want to trust him. Moreover, what he mentioned resonated naturally with anyone who had experienced similar situations. 0

"Yes, it was indeed quite thrilling back then, and I still often have nightmares about it," Yang Xiaoyou said, feeling somewhat constrained. 0

At that moment, Zhao Chen, the Leader of the Progressive Faction, looked at Liu Lianyue without showing any signs of discomfort, merely nodding in her direction. 0

"My brother here is great at everything except sitting still. He should have stayed in the hospital a bit longer, but not only did he sneak out, he also joined your play. Please take good care of him when he goes on stage later," Zhao Chen said sincerely after briefly greeting Yang Xiaoyou and turning to the two of them with a request. 0

As their club advisor, Zhao Liang couldn't escape the fate of being dragged into this by Liang Wuxuan and ended up participating in the play as well, portraying a retired police officer due to injury. 0

He didn’t even need makeup since he already had bandages on his hands. 0

"Is everyone here? There are three more performances before ours; let’s head to the front and wait," Liang Wuxuan said as she walked in. She didn’t seem surprised to see Zhao Chen, her assistant, present. 0

However, upon seeing Liang Wuxuan, Zhao Chen greeted her and then made an excuse to leave. It seemed that he was somewhat wary of the President. 0

Having collaborated for so long, Zhao Chen likely understood that the President had abilities surpassing his own. Unlike Yang Xiaoyou, who chose to mask her feelings in front of Liang Wuxuan, Zhao Chen clearly tried to avoid her presence altogether, reducing their contact time. His low-key demeanor was entirely due to the pressure exerted by this Demoness. 0

Although this approach might raise suspicions, it was quite practical. If Yang Xiaoyou had known earlier how difficult Liang Wuxuan could be, she would have considered using this method herself; unfortunately, it was a bit late for that now. 0

Even now, Yang Xiaoyou couldn’t understand why the President had developed an inexplicable interest in her! Clearly, there were many secrets to uncover about the Leader Classmate from the Progressive Faction as well, yet she didn’t seem particularly eager to delve into anything about them—almost indifferent. 0

As they waited for the light music club's ensemble performance to conclude and create a new atmosphere in the venue, it finally became their Traditional Literature Club's turn for the play. 0

Although there had just been an outstanding performance prior, upon hearing the cast list for their play, the audience erupted into enthusiastic cheers once again without showing any signs of fatigue—especially among the male students who seemed energized as if they had been given a boost. 0

With Liu Lianyue and Liang Wuxuan—the two most popular and recognized goddesses at school—taking the stage together, the chain reaction left Yang Xiaoyou feeling slightly nervous. Although she had agreed to go along with it in the end, she feared it might affect her activities at school going forward. 0

Yuying Middle School and Royal Academy of Basic Studies were both situated far from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Yuying was built atop a hill while Royal Academy was located near a nearby lake. Although the roads around both schools were wide, traffic was relatively sparse. 0

Due to the Campus Festival this time around, there were additional buses transporting students and visitors to and from the schools. 0

As the school bus from the Royal Academy of Basic Studies entered the gates of Yuying Middle School, Xue Xuan glanced at a man standing by the newsstand, reading a newspaper. She adjusted the button on her collar and said, "The Target Two bus is in position. The bus heading to Target One will be ready in two minutes." 0

"Area B2, begin removing the eyes. Block the main entrance. B, B7, set up B Creation and Team Leader Equipment. B4, teams B5 control the Conference Building." 0

"Received." 0

Both Yuying Middle School and the Royal Academy of Basic Studies had well-established security systems. All school security personnel were either Veterans or Elite Members from various factions, enjoying decent pay and benefits. 0

"Hmm? Excuse me, please stop," one of the security guards at the entrance, a Veteran stationed outside the security room, suddenly felt an ominous warning as he noticed several figures approaching who resembled Migrant Workers. He raised his hand to signal them to halt, his expression turning vigilant. 0

However, while he focused all his attention on the approaching individuals, another figure stealthily circled around to his back. In a swift motion, this person covered his mouth and drew a dagger across his throat. This entire scene went unnoticed by most people who were gathered at the Conference Building for a performance, as it was obscured by several new stalls at the entrance. 0

As blood gushed from the guard's carotid artery, the other figures that appeared to be Migrant Workers surged into the security room with extraordinary speed. 0

Meanwhile, in the school's Security Department Surveillance Room, a man in a suit was reloading his silenced pistol. The Surveillance Room was dimly lit except for the flickering screens displaying various surveillance footage and several security personnel lying in pools of blood on the floor. 0

The surveillance footage showed figures clad in black hoods and wearing protective gear surrounding the school's perimeter, fully armed and ready for action. 0
