In the comprehensive teaching building of the Royal Academy of Basic Studies, due to the Campus Festival, each classroom had its own purpose. However, due to an unexpected incident, most students were being managed on-site, forced to stay in their classrooms, even for basic needs.
"Don't worry, Menglu. I will definitely not let them hurt you," a boy with glasses and a few acne spots, who was neither handsome nor unattractive, squatted beside Qi Menglu and spoke earnestly.
Yet, Qi Menglu was too preoccupied to pay him any mind. She was huddled in a corner of the classroom, wearing a black-and-white maid outfit that accentuated her long legs paired with white stockings, making her look quite alluring. However, her mood seemed distant and distracted.
She had no interest in the fellow who had latched onto her while Feng Lin was away. Instead, she turned to another girl beside her and said, "I wonder if Yuying Middle School is also facing threats."
The girl she addressed had a bit of baby fat; although she couldn't compare to Qi Menglu's beauty, she was still attractive. At that moment, her face was pale, seemingly still gripped by fear. After Qi Menglu gently nudged her, she reacted with tears in her eyes and said, "Who has time to worry about that now? If everything is fine over there, I would have gone to watch the show instead. What on earth did we do to deserve this? It's so random!"
The boy with acne who had been ignored felt no embarrassment at all; instead, he appeared vigilant as he scanned the surroundings protectively. He fixed his gaze on the two militants at the door who occasionally glanced their way while chatting.
Those two militants were discussing something that might exceed his expectations.
"That must be the boy. I don't know why we were told to be careful not to accidentally kill him. He seems completely unaware of it. But that girl next to him is really cute; those legs are something else," one of the white men without a hood remarked to his hooded companion.
"I prefer the one beside him with bigger breasts; looks don't matter when the lights are off anyway. I usually don't touch legs. It's just as well that boy isn't here right now; if things go wrong now and Captain gets mad, it won't be good for us," the other man complained with a laugh, seemingly puzzled as to why their target was in this classroom under their watch.
Just then, a figure dressed similarly and wearing a hood approached their classroom.
"Hey, brother, what’s up?" The first white man waved at him but sensed something was off before he could finish his sentence.
Before he could properly draw his weapon or voice his question, the newcomer glided into the classroom with a dance-like grace, almost ghostly in appearance.
As soon as he stepped into the classroom, both experienced mercenaries instinctively clutched their throats as blood gushed through their fingers.
"Ah!" "Ah!" The sudden turn of events caused many students already on edge to scream out in shock.
The figure ignored the Screaming Student completely and walked straight to the back of the classroom.
"Hey, stop right there! What do you think you're doing? If you come any closer, I won't hold back!" The man with Glasses and Acne had a look of panic on his face as he grabbed a chair from Beside him, his voice trembling.
Seeing the obstacle in front of him, the figure wearing a Hood simply swung a hand and slapped it down on the man's shoulder, sending him flying to the side.
Although it looked terrifying that someone had been thrown across the room, the fellow seemed to suffer no harm after crashing into several desks and hitting the ground.
"Uh..." As the familiar figure approached her, Qi Menglu was momentarily stunned; it seemed like this person was coming for her.
Just as this thought crossed her mind, the figure picked her up from the ground and placed her on a nearby desk, pulling out an Object from behind and preparing to strike her head with it.
Caught off guard by this sudden attack, Qi Menglu instinctively closed her eyes. She felt a soft impact on her head, which was only slightly painful. Peeking through her eyelids under the shadow of the black hood, she realized it looked like a helmet.
After this action, the person who entered began to strip off a blood-stained Bulletproof Vest from one of the two individuals at the door and threw it over Qi Menglu. After putting one layer on her, he felt it wasn't enough and added another set.
Noticing her arms exposed outside, he removed his own Bulletproof Vest, slid out a strange blade, and cut through the connections at his shoulder and waist. He then tied the two halves around Qi Menglu's arms, ultimately fully arming her with layers of protection, as if she were a precious Panda Baby.
The fellow who had been knocked down but was unharmed tried to charge again but hesitated upon witnessing the actions of the figure in front of him. After taking a couple of steps forward, he gradually retreated instead, opening his mouth but saying nothing. He simply squatted down on the ground, staring at them.
"Stay close to me. Don't speak or be afraid. I will protect you and ensure you get out safely," Yang Xiaoyou said gently while holding Qi Menglu's shoulders and looking into her eyes. However, after removing his Bulletproof Vest, there was a bullet hole in his back shoulder area, creating an odd sensation of pressure around the wound that barely stopped the bleeding.
Yet, the blood that had already flowed had stained most of his white shirt red.
"Mm." Qi Menglu had initially wanted to say something but found herself unable to speak. In the end, she merely nodded lightly and uttered a sound of agreement. For some reason, she felt a sense of familiarity with this figure in front of her, as if he would never harm her.
"What happened here? Is everything alright? Oh no! Enemy attack!" Due to the commotion in their classroom, one of the Militants stationed next door seemed to have sent someone over to check. Upon arriving at the doorway and seeing two bodies on the floor, he gasped in shock while continuously reporting the situation via his walkie-talkie.
Hearing the noise outside, Yang Xiaoyou paid little attention. When he entered earlier, he had to consider internal Reaction and find people without causing too much commotion. Now that they were going out, it didn't matter much anymore; perhaps because Qi Menglu couldn't follow him stealthily, he had to act without concern.
Thinking of this, Yang Xiaoyou drew out the two handguns that were originally stuck in the Bulletproof Vest, turned them around, and tucked them into her waistband. Then, she exerted a slight force with her legs to pull up the two Assault Rifles near the corpses.
With one bullet chambered and slung over her back, she aimed the other directly at the doorway as time accelerated.
As she reported the situation, just when the shadow of the person who had rushed in revealed itself, she pulled the trigger. The bullet left the chamber, compressing the air as it spiraled through, creating a distorted path in the air before unhesitatingly piercing through the target's head.
When the Assault Rifle's bullet drilled into the person's head, it only created a small entry wound; however, as it exited from the back of their skull, it exploded into a gaping hole the size of a fist, spraying red and white brain matter that splattered against the wall behind.
Perhaps her combat skills had become quite strong by now, but for her, the greatest strength still lay in her marksmanship. This time, she had to ensure that everyone was safely evacuated; no one could stop her.
Those who stand in my way
Will die!
After making this resolute decision, an inexplicable aura erupted from Yang Xiaoyou, and her eyes instantly turned blood-red.
