"Brother Luo! Stop him! He wants to assassinate Lai Wei's benefactor!" Upon seeing the figure at the door, Yang Xiaoyou shouted loudly.
The fleeing figure felt a jolt of fear, and then a grimace appeared on his face. Given his current injuries, facing someone who was already not much weaker than himself left him with no chance of survival.
"Get out of my way! I'll kill you!" Like a cornered beast, Zhao Gao's anger surged. He squeezed every last bit of potential from his body, enduring the pain of worsening injuries as he unleashed all ten layers of his power, determined to take the life of the person daring to block his path.
But just as he launched this desperate counterattack, an overwhelming and terrifying pressure enveloped his heart.
With a casual motion, the attack was brushed aside, and that same hand pressed down on his head. Suddenly, he felt a dizzying spin as his head was slammed against the ground. His hands were inexplicably twisted behind his back, completely subdued and at the mercy of others.
"What happened?" Luo Guohui instinctively subdued the madman before him. Looking at Yang Xiaoyou and another capable fellow who had arrived, he felt a bit puzzled.
This subdued madman had considerable strength; if he hadn't been heavily injured, he would have posed a real challenge.
Recalling what Yang had said earlier made Luo's heart stir with surprise.
Seeing Luo Guohui effortlessly subdue the ghostly figure made Yang Xiaoyou's heart race as well. Although this fellow was already injured, one could not underestimate a desperate counterattack when cornered. The ease with which it was resolved clearly indicated that Luo Guohui had not used his full strength during their earlier encounter.
If they combined their strengths, they wouldn't lose in a short time, but dragging it out would surely lead to tragedy. Truly, this fellow had reached the pinnacle of power.
"Wait a minute, what do you mean? And what about the assassination? Why disrupt the banquet?" The suited man who followed closely behind Yang Xiaoyou spoke in a low voice as he began to pursue this side.
Like his two companions, he was unaware of what exactly was happening when he noticed the commotion.

Initially, he had no time to spare due to the urgency of the situation, but now that they had caught someone, he couldn't hold back any longer.
Fortunately for this fellow, he ran into that unpredictable and perverse brother complex guy whom even Yang couldn't provoke right now. Otherwise, if he managed to escape, it would truly be unsettling.
"Uh..." Hearing Yang Xiaoyou's evaluation of him made the suited man feel anger rise in his heart. However, after hearing the latter part of Yang's words, his expression stiffened for a moment.
If it was indeed as the other party said, then it seemed he hadn't been wrong in his assessment after all.
He couldn't help but break into a cold sweat at the thought of what could have happened if things had gone differently. If the other party had succeeded, even with the three of them working together, they wouldn't have been able to stop them given their speed of retreat.
The two individuals who had arrived late, following Yang Xiaoyou, also heard the conversation and reacted accordingly. Hesitation appeared on their faces.
"What’s going on?" Once everything settled down, the guests felt as if they were waking from a dream. The initial changes and the speed of reactions had left them somewhat bewildered.
Ordinary people only just realized that something was wrong when Luo Guohui had already subdued the man. Even Liang Jianguo, despite his status and temperament giving him some influence, was not a martial artist; his ability to perceive the situation was limited.
After everything concluded, he approached with a serious expression. This banquet was held in honor of an elder, and most of the guests had deep connections with the Liang Family, making it a matter of their reputation.
Now that such chaos had erupted, it truly felt like a slap in the face. However, he remained calm; although angry, he did not express it in words.
"I also want to know what’s going on. I don’t know who you offended to provoke such a fellow. If you hadn’t intervened and rescued this fellow's sister back then, you would have been in for a lot more trouble," Yang Xiaoyou said lightly after the situation was resolved, subtly positioning himself in Luo Guohui's shadow while recounting the general events.
Upon hearing this, both Liang Jianguo and the three top bodyguards felt their hearts skip a beat. They were well aware of the Liang Family's advantages and disadvantages. Due to their long-standing family motto of 'no conflict,' they did not appear to be at the top tier publicly, but their underlying power was quite formidable.
If such a force were to suddenly lose its upper echelons all at once, it would likely collapse due to the disruption. Because of this, they had arranged for seven elite scouts to assist them, three of whom had reached levels that ordinary martial artists only heard about in legends.
Yet even with these precautions, an unexpected turn of events had still occurred.
"If this is true and he makes an attack, do you three feel confident?" Ultimately not being martial artists themselves, Liang Jianguo refrained from interfering with those who were skilled and instead asked for their assessment.
Although the leading Black-Faced Man wanted to sound confident, thinking about the opponent's ghostly speed made him sigh and shake his head in resignation.
